میدانم که وودی آلن طرفدارانِ خاصی دارد و این را هم میدانم که من هیچ وقت نتوانستم فنِ «مکتبِ نیویورک» شوم. با این که فیلمهای عظیمِ این مکتب را به شدت دوست میدارم و به آنها احترام میگذارم.
از سویِ دیگر، مادرم، به واسطهی تجربههای خاصی که نسلِ پیش از من با وودی آلن داشتهاند و دارند، کارهای قدیمی آلن را بسی دوست میدارد. به همین مناسبت، فیلمِ جاسمینِ غمگین را برای مادرم پخش کردم تا نظرِ او را ببینم؛ متاسفانه، خودم نتوانستم فیلم را ببینم و بد تر از آن، مادرم هم از فیلم خوشش نیامد. نظرِ او این بود که فیلم نوعی «تقلب» و «ظاهرسازیای» دارد که در فیلمهای دیگرِ آلن نیست؛ چیزی به مثابهی کارهای اخیرِ مهرجویی که همگی «فیک» محسوب میشوند.
من هم دیشب فیلم را دیدم و با نظرِ مادرم موافقم. با وجودِ ادعای دوستارانِ آلن در موردِ «بازگشت به دورانِ اوج»، بلوجاسمین چیزی جز بازتکرارِ کارهای قبلی او، آن هم در فضایی نیمه نیویورکی (و بنابراین نیمه وودی آلنی) نیست. فیلم، حداقل در شرایط و زمانی که من آن را نگاه کردم، فیلمی کاملن ضعیف است. روایتاش از فلاشبکهایی بهره میبرد که به شدت از ناحیهی تدوین ضربه خورده است و نه تنها فیلم را از یک دست بودن میاندازد، بلکه آن را به محصولی آشفته و دمِ دستی تبدیل میکند؛ هر چند که خودِ آلن میگوید: «من قصد ندارم شاهکار بسازم»، اما این «شاهکار نساختن»، حداقل از نظرِ من، دلیلی بر ساختِ فیلمِ بد نیست.
*جاسمین که به تازگی یک رابطهی ناموفق خانوادگی را پشتِ سر گذاشته است ، به جهتِ ورشکست شدن به سراغِ خواهرِ ناتنیای که سالها بود به او بیتوجهی میکرد بازگشته است تا زندگی جدیدی را آغاز کند. او سعی می کند زندگی پیشین خود را فراموش کند و دوران جدیدی را از سر بگیرد اما متوجه میشود که به این راحتی ها هم نمیشود از دست گذشته فرار کرد.*
این خطِ داستانی، اقتباسی از نمایشنامهی «اتوبوسی به نامِ هوس» است با تمامِ دخل و تصرفهایی وودی آلنی.
جاسمینِ غمگین، فقط در یک امرِ سینمایی خلاصه میشود: بازی بینظیرِ کیت بلانشت. بازیای به یادماندنی از درد و رنجِ زنی که زندگیاش به فاک رفته است و اکنون، با توجه به تمامِ زیستهها و عادتهای پیشینِ تجملاتیاش، بایستی با زندگیای جدید و پر از طعنه سازگار شود. به حق که بلانشت از پسِ این وظیفه برآمده است، اما چه سود که آلن، فیلم را به ملغمهای از سکانسهای بیربط و بیسر و ته تبدیل کرده است.
