Lady Gaga’s Top 50 Hottest Outfits Of 2010

28 December 2010 6:00 AM, PST | VH1.com | See recent VH1.com news »

Hmmm, last year we counted down 100 of Lady Gaga’s Hottest Outfits, but this year only 50? Can’t blame the woman for taking it down a notch after her breakout 2009, though only in the case of Gaga would we even be suggesting that averaging about one jaw-dropping outfit a week is below the norm. Still, with The Fame Monster up for multiple Grammys, two singles hitting the Top 5 and another massive world tour in her wake, you could hardly say Gaga’s been lazy. And the release of Born This Way should mean 2011 will be even busier! Revisits Gaga’s year in freaky fashion in the gallery below. 50. The Scariest Straw Hat In History 49. Madonna, Right Tackle 48. Check This Out: First Official Teaser Poster for Battle: Los Angeles

17 December 2010 1:18 PM, PST | firstshowing.net | See recent FirstShowing.net news »

Isn't it a little late for something like a teaser poster? ComingSoon has revealed the first official poster for Jonathan Liebesman's exciting new alien invasion movie Battle: Los Angeles starring Aaron Eckhart and a young platoon of Marines. We've seen a couple of badass trailers for this and know what to expect (Black Hawk Down with aliens) but this poster seems like something we should've seen six months ago before any trailers or anything. Now it just seems kind of boring when we already know the action this has in it. Cool imagery, but come on, this is it? I hope we see more cool posters for Battle: Los Angeles soon. Check it out! A young Marine platoon, lead by Aaron Eckhart, faces off against a surprise alien invasion in Los Angeles. Battle: Los Angeles is directed by South African-born director Jonathan Liebesman, of Darkness Falls, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning »

Thandie Newton in New Horror/Thriller

7 December 2010 2:40 AM, PST | ShadowAndAct | See recent ShadowAndAct news »

Vanishing on 7th Street starring Hayden Christiansen (Anakin Skywalker and possibly one of the worst actors working today) alongside Thandie Newton and John Leguizamo. Newton is Rosemary a Physical Therapist who takes a smoke break when, upon her return, finds her hospital empty. Newcomer Jacob Latimore plays James, a young boy who can’t seem to find his mother.

The initial set-up in the trailer looks pretty fascinating, a deserted world as people start to disappear, with the sun rising later and later. Loved it when it was one of my favorite Twilight Zone episodes, but here they attempt to expand on that general idea. After night falls upon them there are shadows that dart out to attack them which also seems similar to a recently decent horror flick entitled Darkness Falls.

No matter how contrived or ripped off the story appears, as the set-up feels like a recycle of a carbon copy, »

New Vanishing On Seventh Street Trailer

6 December 2010 4:01 PM, PST | EmpireOnline | See recent EmpireOnline news »

With a release date (at least in the Us) comes a new trailer for Vanishing on Seventh Street, the horror thriller from Session 9 and The Machinist's director Brad Anderson. It's different enough to the last one to be worth a look, although the basic thrust of Hayden Christensen finding that the streets have gone all 28 Days Later, teaming up with a disparate group of survivors (Thandie Newton, John Leguizamo, Jacob Lattimore), and learning to stay in what limited light is still available because they'll be got by the shadows otherwise, remains the same.Bits of the ropey Darkness Falls in that concept, as well as the aforementioned Danny Boyle zombie-fest, and a liberal splash of Invasion of the Body Snatchers. But Brad Anderson has yet to play a wrong note, so this ought to be a tense supernatural siege (even with Anakin Skywalker in the cast).Distributors Magnet »

‘Battle: Los Angeles’ Teaser Makes ‘Skyline’ Look Like ‘Mac & Me’

12 November 2010 6:28 AM, PST | FilmSchoolRejects.com | See recent FilmSchoolRejects news »

Looks pretty freaking badass doesn’t it? Like the best parts of Independence Day minus all the schmaltz. Sony Pictures timed this teaser release to the same day Skyline opens theatrically for a reason. They’re obviously similar films, and the filmmakers are still embroiled in a lawsuit, but Sony is clearly confident that their movie is the better one. I haven’t seen either one yet, but I’m ready to give the edge to Battle: Los Angeles. Both films feature strong effects work, but whereas Skyline looks to go the Roland Emmerich route and pair it with poorly written dialogue and excess cheese B:la looks fairly intense and hardcore. Like Blackhawk Down with aliens. (Or robots apparently.) Plus, and I may be alone on this one… I love the song used in the teaser. I have no clue what it is so if anyone out there does feel free to enlighten me in the comments »
