Loooong movie. The entire thing is six hours long. Although there are shorter versions, I can't imagine them being as worthwhile. Slow at first, but so interesting to see a different part of history and to see the incredibly complex tactics used in battles. Each battle and skirmish and plot leads up to the grand finale and it makes you glad you saw all of it. Bonus points for having kickass female heroines. Yes, more than one.

The writer-director gives us six stories, takes them waaaaay over the top, and then just moves on to the next. It's all about imagining what would happen if people actually gave in to the ridiculous, psychotic, even murderous thoughts we've all entertained in moments of frustration. But each story reaches a level of true absurdity that at some point you begin to laugh. And then you realize, this is a storyteller with a dark sense of humor. So just enjoy the ride.
