Kennedy ran the successful 1960 presidential campaign for his brother, John F. Kennedy, and served as U.S. Attorney General and top adviser to his brother between 1961 and 1963. He remained in the post for President Lyndon B. Johnson for several months after his brother’s assassination, then resigned to run for the U.S. Senate, representing New York.
Kennedy served until his assassination in June, 1968, while seeking the Democratic presidential nomination on a platform of ending U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War.

The Dark Tower's Nikolaj Arcel has signed on to helm Matt Damon's long-gestating Rfk film for Warner Bros., The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. Arcel wrote the script for Rfk, with Damon on board to play the assassinated presidential candidate, along with Rasmus Heisterberg and Felipe Marino.
Robert F. Kennedy was fatally shot at Los Angeles' Ambassador Hotel on June 5, 1968, by Sirhan Sirhan as the senator was celebrating his victory in the California and South Dakota primary elections for the Democratic nomination for U.S. president.

It looks like Danish filmmaker Nikolaj Arcel has found his next project after the upcoming Stephen King adaptation The Dark Tower, with The Tracking Board reporting that he has signed on to direct the Robert F. Kennedy biopic Rfk, which has Matt Damon attached to the title role.
The younger brother of President John F. Kennedy, Robert Kennedy served as U.S. Attorney General under JFK and President Lyndon B. Johnson, and was also the United States junior senator from New York between 1965 and his assassination in 1968.
Rfk is described as a long time passion project of Damon’s, who is also producing the project for Warner Bros., and will be based on a script by Arcel, Rasmus Heisterberg and Felipe Marino. Production on the film is slated to begin early in 2018, with an eye for an awards-qualifying release later in the year.

The Daniel Radcliffe action comedy Guns Akimbo the first screen adaptation of Erica Jong’s 1973 erotic classic Fear Of Flying are the latest projects to be supported by the international co-production fund operated under the auspices of the Bavarian Film & Television Fund (Fff Bayern) as part of a concerted drive to attract large-scale productions to the region.
The Fff subcommittee for international co-productions allocated €2m ($2.2m) apiece at its latest session on Wednesday (5 July) to two Us projects which will be co-produced with Munich-based companies and largely or completely shot on location in Bavaria.

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has signed on to star in the action comedy Guns Akimbo from the director of Deathgasm. Altitude Films and Occupant Entertainment will present the movie, which is currently in pre-production to potential buyers at Cannes. The movie will be directed by New Zealander Jason Lei Howden (Deathgasm) who also wrote the screenplay. Radcliffe, who was recently in Swiss Army Man and Now You See Me 2 will portray the main character Miles. The movie is being billed as an "adrenaline fuelled balls-to-the-wall original action comedy reminiscent in tone to films such as Kick-Ass or Deadpool."

The project is being produced by Occupant Entertainment and Joe Neurauter and Felipe Marino, while Michael Mailis from Hyperion Entertainment and Will Clarke and Andy Mayson from Altitude Films will executive produce.
