Tim Allen on Last Man Standing Cancellation: 'Nothing More Dangerous Than a Likable Conservative'
In a new interview, Tim Allen is speaking out against ABC’s decision to cancel Last Man Standing after six seasons, and the failed deal to revive the family comedy on cable network Cmt.

“It’s hard,” Allen says during a sit-down on Norm Macdonald Live. “I have no idea why [ABC] did what they did.” But that doesn’t stop him from suggesting that the decision came down to his conservative politics.

Amit Masurkar’s sophomore feature “Newton” is India’s entry to the 90th Academy Awards in the foreign-language category. The decision was announced by the Film Federation of India, which considered a shortlist of 26 titles.

Starring Rajkummar Rao and Anjali Patil, the film is about a rookie government clerk, determined to conduct fair elections in the conflict-ridden jungles of Chhattisgarh, against formidable odds.

'America's Got Talent': Evie Clair Delivers 'Perfect Tribute' to Late Father With Emotional Finals Performance
Evie Clair's journey on America's Got Talent reached an emotional apex on the first night of the finals on Tuesday following the death of her father two weeks ago, with an emotional performance that paid tribute to her dad's memory.

Before coming out on stage, the 12-year-old singer reflected on her father's legacy in a pre-taped package, where she shared, "My dad was one of the bravest people I knew. He always taught us to follow our dreams."

Clair -- who has previously opened up about learning how to sing to comfort her father as he battled late-stage colon cancer -- also explained how she found the strength to continue to pursue her dreams on Agt following her painful loss.

"My dad taught me, after I started something, to always finish it," Clair recalled. "That's why I'm fighting to the end, just like he did."

Final Portrait review – lopsided Giacometti biopic

Geoffrey Rush is overly whimsical but this drama about the Swiss artist gets the look just right

That estimable actor Stanley Tucci has proved his directing ability with films including Big Night, but he doesn’t quite convince in an art-historical anecdote that could be titled The Agony and the Neurosis. It’s based on American writer James Lord’s memoir of sitting for a portrait by Alberto Giacometti, a process that took much longer than expected because of the Swiss artist’s perfectionist prevarication.

Bob Hope on Blu-ray

You pick up a lot of baggage when you live to be 100, a sentiment confirmed by the long, long movie career of Bob Hope. His unofficial status as the preeminent entertainer of the 20th century is open to debate but he was without a doubt that era’s most conspicuous comedian. Marlon Brando’s infamous dismissal, “He’ll go to the opening of a market to receive an award”, was mean-spirited but it had the sting of truth; for over eighty years Hope was everywhere, for better or worse.

Living up to his nickname, “Rapid Robert”, the 31-year old Hope shot out of the gate in 1934 with a series of quick-on-their feet comic shorts revolving around his unique presence as a leading man and comical sidekick rolled into one. It wasn’t long before he was starring in pleasantly prosaic musicals like The Big Broadcast of 1938 and handsomely mounted

Fantasia 2017 Review: You Only Live Once, Good Action, Middling Comedy

Federico Cueva has been working in stunts and special effects in his native Argentina and Spanish cinema for more than 20 years. His work with Santiago Segura in several of the Torrente films, and with Alex de la Iglesia in The Bar and My Big Night, have gained Cueva a reputation in the world of over-the-top, machismo action-comedies. So it is only fiitting that his first venture into feature film directing would be with a film of a similar tone. You Only Live Once is an uneven yet amusing action-comedy, with great stunts and a few witty lines, but lacks a strong enough punch to make it stand out. Leo (Peter Lanzini), a small-time con man, had a scam of filming important men with prostitutes...
