Directors: Ethan Coen, Joel Coen | Stars: Jeff Bridges, Matt Damon, Hailee Steinfeld, Josh Brolin

Votes: 357,738 | Gross: $171.24M

One of the best western of this decade. The Coen bros' movies are always enjoyable, but this one is much more like No country for old men, their masterpiece : ambitious, cruel, and almost perfect in its way.

5. Unknown (I) (2011)

Votes: 269,419 | Gross: $63.69M

How to make a piece of junk with a great actor ? Ask Jaume Collet-Serra and Luc Besson, the director and producer of this little flick. It's stupid, it's useless, it doesn't deserve the time I'm losing to write this review.

Director: Zack Snyder | Stars: Emily Browning, Vanessa Hudgens, Abbie Cornish, Jena Malone

Votes: 252,912 | Gross: $36.39M

Stupid but visually astounding, Snyder proves here he doesn't deserve much credit for the quality of his previous work : his own universe is kinda dull, very geek-friend, but may be entertaining if you don't pay attention to the script. A disappointment.

9. Scream 4 (2011)

52 Metascore

Ten years have passed, and Sidney Prescott, who has put herself back together thanks in part to her writing, is visited by the Ghostface Killer.

Director: Wes Craven | Stars: Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Lucy Hale

Votes: 171,312 | Gross: $38.18M

A useless sequel. Not very good, not very bad, just useless. Craven doesn't have many guts anymore, we can witness it.

75 Metascore

Director: Hark Tsui | Stars: Tony Ka Fai Leung, Chao Deng, Carina Lau, Bingbing Li

Votes: 11,880 | Gross: $0.46M

An action movie visually fun and totally crazy. It's thriller part isn't very interesting, but the movie itself is very entertaining.

Votes: 900,845 | Gross: $181.03M

Not as bad as I thought : the trailers were awful, and the movie is just nice and fun, nothing more. The 3D is useless, as usual.

12. The Tree of Life (2011)

Director: Terrence Malick | Stars: Brad Pitt, Sean Penn, Jessica Chastain, Hunter McCracken

Votes: 184,197 | Gross: $13.30M

Visually incredible, but very contemplative (in the boring way), The Tree of Life was kind of a little disappointment. But, in its strange way, it's impressive, and you won't forget some parts of the movie. Clearly not the best of Malick, but maybe one of the most mystical and interesting.

Director: Dominik Moll | Stars: Vincent Cassel, Sergi López, Jordi Dauder, Joséphine Japy

Votes: 4,130 | Gross: $0.01M

Very disappointing. A cheap adaptation for a huge novel. Almost all the fantastic sides of the book have disappeared, and the ending is just... Meh. Read the book, instead.

Votes: 218,273 | Gross: $191.45M

Not as bad as I thought it would be. But "Cars 2" is by far the "worst" Pixar I've seen since "A bug's life". And "Cars". And, as usual, the 3D is disappointing.

With a big budget, a good cast, and a rich and funny background, Spielberg should've done a little masterpiece. Instead, he just makes a nice movie, with a mixed visual aspect, and doesn't respect Herge's universe as I thought he would. Not a bad movie, but not a very good one.

If I liked The Fall with all my heart, this movie is just a pity. Funny by its kitsch sides, there are some splendid images, but the script is just dull, and I can't understand what took Tarsem Singh when he agreed to release the movie as it is now.

A tough thriller, inspired by true events, and directed by a bad-ass ex-cop. Funny, interesting, but not very clever.

Nice sequel, not as good as the original one, but very entertaining anyway. Miller can be proud, as he talks to kids without being condescending.

A good sequel, pure blockbuster, and first non-animated movie for the very gifted Brad Bird. All this said, you can enjoy this funny movie, not very bright, but very spectacular !!

Not the masterpiece that some think it is, but a very interesting and entertaining family movie. The way we learn things about Mélies is very well done, but the rythm is slow, and it would have been better, imho, if Scorsese had taken off 15-20 minutes of the show.
