There's Something Sinister in The Woods in This Creepy Trailer For Dead Night

"I was born and raised in these woods… I'll be just fine."

Yeah... right. We all know what happens when people think the woods is a good place to go on a relaxing vacation. Dark and sinister things happen and people die! That's the truth because it happens in every horror movie that is set in the woods!

We've got a creepy trailer for an upcoming horror film called Dead Night, and it actually looks like it's worth checking out. But that's coming from a guy who loves watching horror movies, even the bad ones. I like what I'm seeing in this trailer, though, it looks like it going to be a wildly eerie horror flick with some surprising twists and turns.

The movie stars Brea Grant (Heroes) and 80's horror icon Barbara Crampton (Re-Animator, You're Next, From Beyond) and this is the synopsis:

Army of Darkness Board Game Arrives to Fill Evil Dead Void

Dynamite Entertainment has announced something pretty groovy, as they're going to be making an Army Of Darkness board game. The news comes not long after Ash vs. Evil Dead was canceled by Starz, leaving a void to be filled. While we're sure to hear news of other on-screen projects in the future, this new tabletop game may very well help many fans fill the hole in their heart. Here's what Dynamite CEO Nick Barrucci had to say about it.

"Army of Darkness was the first license we signed at Dynamite and it still holds a very special place in our heart. So we couldn't think of a better, more exciting brand to use for our first miniatures game. We can't wait to show tabletop gamers and horror fans what we have planned!"

In Army of Darkness: The Board Game, players will take on the role of unlikely hero Ash Williams,

Graham Skipper on the Making of Sequence Break

You may have seen Graham Skipper in one of a billion indie horror films, such as Beyond the Gates, The Mind's Eye, of Almost Human. If you were lucky, you saw him star as Dr. Herbert West in Stuart Gordon's Re-Animator the Musical. In addition to acting, he's slipped into the director's chair, most notably with Sequence Break. The film is now exclusively on the rad, all-horror streaming service Shudder, and reunites Chase Williamson and Fabianne Therese, both of John Dies at the End, among other hot indie films.   I spoke to Skipper on the challenges of making Sequence Break, his new feature in which Williamson plays Oz, am introverted arcade game repair man and designer who finds himself way too connected to a particular game...

Sci-Fi London 2018: ‘Chimera’ Review

Stars: Henry Ian Cusick, Kathleen Quinlan, Erika Ervin, Jenna Harrison, Karishma Ahluwalia, Jennifer Gjulameti, Raviv Haeems, Kaavya Jayaram | Written and Directed by Maurice Haeems

‘Medical horror’ is strange sub genre that could contain a wide range of movies. From The Fly to The Human Centipede trilogy to Frankenstein to Re-Animator. Each of those movies is very different but each of them also share some similarities with the latest movie in that list, Chimera.

Chimera follows one man, a father and scientist who wants to freeze his children alive in the hope that it will give him time to create a cure for the deadly disease they both have. Henry Ian Cusick plays the father, Quint, and he is a good actor to have you revolve your movie around. Known mainly for his TV work in Lost and The 100, Cusick puts in a strong, believable performance and he really does hold the film together.

Mankind's cat obsession may have even reached peak cinematic cuteness with the arrival of Peter Atencio's title tabby, Keanu, in which Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele go to great lengths to retrieve their kidnapped kitten. With that in mind, we've put …

Drive-In Dust Offs: Bad Dreams (1988)

Cults and their leaders have always equally repulsed, fascinated, and terrified me. The repulsion and terror are obvious markers for any sane person, but some would rather not have it in their lives at all, thank you very much. This is also a lucid and healthy response. But in horror we look for the cathartic in the carnal; and while Bad Dreams (1988) spends a great deal of effort mining a very similar vein as A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987), it succeeds in carving out its own modest slice in the late ‘80s landscape.

Released stateside in April by Twentieth Century Fox, Bad Dreams made back its $4 million dollar budget opening weekend, but petered out after it pulled in just over $9 million total. A profit, yes, but not the big numbers they were hoping for based on what they thought was a foolproof Elm Street format. Oh, and
