Dancing with the Stars went to the movies tonight, showing off themed routines from the best of Hollywood. From James Bond to the Wild Wild West (which was probably just supposed to be westerns in general, but screw that, Will Smith gets my vote) stars and pros danced it out.

Take a walk down the aisle with Julianne Hough and Brooks Laich. The Dancing With the Stars pro and her longtime beau officially tied the knot on Saturday during an intimate ceremony outside in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho near Hough's family home. Thanks to new photos of the occasion, we can now say the couple's special day looked like it had been ripped right off the pages of a fashion magazine. The beaming bride and her hockey pro husband looked stunning as they arrived to the ceremony together on a boat—a moment that could have been compared to a James Bond scene. Hough's lengthy veil blew in the wind as the two approached their guests, making for the...

Rowan Atkinson will return for a third Johnny English movie, that's expected to be in cinemas in 2018.
Rowan Atkinson is heading back to the big screen, and he’s set to reprise the role of Johnny English in a third movie adventure.
Currently going by the title of Johnny English 3 (although expect that to change), Atkinson’s character is a spoof of James Bond, originating from credit card commercials. But 2003’s Johnny English and 2011’s Johnny English Reborn both did solid box office, and a third movie is now due to start shooting before the year is out.
Pre-production has already begun on the movie, although the full cast has yet to be locked down. Johnny English 3 is expected in cinemas in October 2018.
As we get further details on the movie, we’ll pass them your way…
Chortle.

Just when you thought it you was safe from that buffoon of a spy from ever making a return – no not Bond but his parody counterpart, Johnny English is marking a return to the big screen as its rumoured pre-production has already begun.

Making his return as English is the comedy stalwart Rowan Atkinson in the titular role but for now that’s all we’re getting as a plot or full cast list are yet to be announced. However, what we do know is that filing is due to commence in the autumn with a release slated for October 2018.
The spoof spy advantage seems to be following a pattern of releasing sequels eight years apart from one another. We last saw Atkinson as English back in 2011 in Johnny English Reborn where After a disastrous mission in Mozambique, he...

His fellow Dancing With the Stars pro tied the knot with BC Jean on Friday, but Derek told the host that he actually promised to be in his wedding almost 17 years ago! ★★☆☆☆ Sacha Baron Cohen has found fame and notoriety playing out our collective prejudices in living, breathing form, in order to make us realise how untenable they are. Borat's social satire worked because of its mockumentary form; even as Baron Cohen played a ridiculous Kazakh journalist, he gained some all-too-true reactions from his interview subjects, showing an America too comfortable with its own bigotry. After Bruno and The Dictator, his next outrageous character is Nobby Grimsby, his new target James Bond and its suggestive/squeamish, middle-class treatment of sexuality. Except he's been cut and pasted into a sub-90 minute Johnny English sequel, starring Mark Strong and directed by the journeyman who brought us 2008's Incredible Hulk and the Clash of the Titans remake.

Stephen Fry and Derek Jacobi are amongst the backers of the impressive British contract killer movie, Two Down...
Filmmakers seem to have a fixation with hitmen. No doubt this is because the addition of a contract killer creates the opportunity for just the right degree of tension, some violence, and a dash of psychological intrigue. Nevertheless, the formula can still produce idiosyncratic results, as Two Down, from Fizz and Ginger Films, proves. With backing from executive producers Stephen Fry and Derek Jacobi, the husband and wife team have created an absorbing drama with a very British flavour.
Matthew Butler Hart, the film’s director and co-writer, says they wanted to do something which involved three people together in a room, with both light and dark elements. Out of that grew this understated thriller, combining the influence of 1970s spy movies with a dry sense of humour.

16 years ago today, Mike Flaherty bid adieu to City Hall and Michael J. Fox said goodbye to Spin City. It was the actor’s final episode as a regular on the ABC sitcom after playing the lead role since the show premiered in 1996. Fox had revealed to the public in 1998 his battle with Parkinson’s disease. As his symptoms worsened, during Spin City’s fourth season, Fox, then 38 years old, announced he would be leaving the show at the end of the season to spend more time with his family and to raise money for Parkinson's research and awareness. Spin City lasted another two seasons after Fox’s departure, with Charlie Sheen as the new lead. Fox did return for appearances in a few episodes in the final season. In that May 24, 2000 episode, the season 4 finale, Mike Flaherty fired himself to save everyone else on the mayor’s staff in the midst of a scandal,...

If you're like us and value your sleep, you probably nodded off into your Ambien dreamland before the party started on post-prime time TV. Don't worry; we've got you covered. Here's the best of what happened last night on late night.
Even a Southern twang can't perfume nasty tweets about being f--ked by a gorilla or looking like the house band at Chili's. Yes, it's time for another round of "Jimmy Kimmel Live's" Mean Tweets! The Country Music Association Awards aired Wednesday night, and Jimmy simultaneously did his show from two places: Live in Los Angeles, then beamed into the Cma Theater in Nashville as a hologram. While getting into the CMAs spirit, he had country music stars read off mean tweets. The Brad Paisley one is kinda great. Willie Nelson's isn't even remotely mean. The Hunter Hayes one is True and so cute. Carrie Underwood's is entirely unintelligible.

Christopher Nolan has been chatting about audience reaction to his movies - and hasn't ruled out directing the next 007 film.
Christopher Nolan appeared on the BBC's Newsnight programme last night, to talk about his love of celluloid, and the need for film preservation. This follows a similar discussion he'd had at the London Film Festival.
30 minutes into the programme - which is currently available on the BBC's iPlayer service if you're in the UK here - Nolan was interviewed by Stephen Smith. Smith asked him if people told him they liked Interstellar, but then asked him what is it about? "I get that sort of equally with most of my films. That is to say, I'll [still] have people ask me about Inception".
"Different sections of the audience get different things out of films", Nolan noted.

Having first graced the big screen as mop-headed slacker Ted Theodore Logan in Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, Keanu Reeves has since become one of Hollywood’s ‘go to’ actors when explosive action is the order of the day, starring in numerous edge-of-your-seat thrillers including Point Break, Speed and The Matrix. His most recent film, John Wick, which sees Reeves play a former hitman hell-bent on revenge as he returns to the criminal world he left behind in out now on DVD and Blu-ray.
With a career spanning over three decades, Reeves is rarely far from his next on-screen adventure, but what about some of those action heroes we haven’t heard from in a while? We decided to track down a few of our favourites.

Linda Hamilton shot to fame as Sarah Connor, a young waitress who finds herself pursued by a relentless android killer in The Terminator.

Movies made by women directors were snubbed by the Producers Guild of America when they announced the nominees today! Both "Selma" by Ava DuVernay and "Unbroken" by Angelina Jolie were left in the dust. I agree with not nominating the latter movie (sorry Ms. Jolie but "Unbroken" is too earnest for my taste) but "Selma" deserved a nod! It's a profound movie aided by DuVernay's skilled directing and David Oyelowo's fine performance as Martin Luther King Jr.
You know who I'm blaming for this? Paramount! The studio did not send screeners to Academy voters. Heck, they did not sent one to us, the Broadcast Film Critics Association. But after begging, they did send a link so I could watch "Selma" in time for our Critics' Choice Movie Award nominations.
"Selma" is a "late to the party" entry that is gaining momentum dashed by the PGA! If you remember, Clint Eastwood...

The Producers Guild of America (PGA) added to the industry mix Monday morning with a list of 10 nominees to keep the awards season grist mill churning. "Gone Girl" popped up again, and it shouldn't be a surprise. It's one of the year's biggest hits. And speaking of hits, I had a hunch "Nightcrawler" would find a place after becoming such a well-liked, profitable success. There it sits. The question for both of these films is whether this on-going industry/guild love ends up translating to Oscar recognition. After the "Dragon Tattoo" rush a few years ago, I'm pretty much wait-and-see on stuff like this. Absent from the list was anything out of the Marvel Studios comic book factory, notable as both "Guardians of the Galaxy" and "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" were both on the top tier of box office earners in 2014. The former currently maintains the throne, though it...

I have been spending the last couple of days working on my 2015 Oscar predictions, finally adding predictions for the categories I had not yet set live and putting final touches on those I've had live since March of last year. The Oscar nomination ballots close this coming Thursday, January 8 and you better believe I'm looking at this list to get a better idea of what the industry is thinking. Overall, there aren't any real surprises, though one film continues to make a strong big for a nomination, that being Dan Gilroy's Nightcrawler, which has continued to perform well in the precursor nominations. We also see a nomination for...

Tonight, Americans have the choice between watching Dancing with the Stars, Monday Night Football, and … a SyFy movie with gay Russian spies on the moon. Curious? You’re not alone: SyFy executives thought the same thing of Bryan Fuller’s newest creation, High Moon. For four years, Fuller and the channel entered into an on-again, off-again relationship. At first it was a pilot, then a miniseries, then back to a pilot, then back to… you get the idea.
“ecause of how strange the development process was at the network, I don’t think anybody was surprised [that it wasn't made into a series],” Fuller said. “Right before we were ordered,...

So the big Emmys don't air until next Sunday night and at Moviefone we will have, of course, full coverage. But last night the Creative Arts Emmys were handed out, for the people that are largely responsible for making these shows that you absolutely love -- you know, the behind-the-scenes talent tasked with conceptualizing and realizing your favorite programs. Oh -- and some guest actor and actresses awards were handed out, so there's that too!
In the Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series category Uzo Aduba took home the prize for "Orange is the New Black." Since we are, very shamefully, one of a handful of Americans who hasn't seen a single second of "Orange in the New Black," this doesn't mean a whole lot to us, but we are very happy for her! Taking the stage first was "King of Queens" beauty Leah Remini and her partner Tony Dovolani who danced a James Bond inspired Rumba to the tune of a 24 out of 30.
Making for an impressive next round of dances, Corbin Bleu and his pro Karina Smirnoff quickstepped their way to an impressive score of 26 while Elizabeth Berkley and Val Chmerkovskiy pulled in a 25 with their foxtrot.
Although he didn't make it to the top of the leader board, Bill Nye still gave it his all despite his injured tendon. Moving slowly to try and stay in the game, he and his partner Tyne Stecklein came up with a clever robot inspired Jazz number which earned them a 16, but unfortunately were sent home packing.

Simon Pegg, Edgar Wright and co excel at undercutting Hollywood pomposity: it's become the UK's abiding cinematic characteristic
This week Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg are crowned our reigning kings of bathos, that most British of pastimes. As writers (and in Wright's case, director) of Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and now The World's End, the stock-in trade of their "Cornetto trilogy" has been undercutting Hollywood bombast, mug of tea in hand. At their best, these send-ups of zombie apocalypse, buddy cop actioner and 70s paranoia thrillers are powered by a higher form of parody: simultaneously full of love for Hollywood and affirming the supremacy of humdrum Brit realities. In The World's End, I liked the idea of the piece of crap Blairite public art in Newton Haven (the town to which Pegg and his gang return for their nostalgic pub-crawl) that turns out to have a secret sci-fi purpose.

After 2011's Bridesmaids and his June 28 release The Heat , Paul Feig will continue to dominate the female-driven comedy realm with a new project, the just-announced Susan Cooper . The film is said to be a "realistic comedy about a female James Bond," but one that steers clear of spoof territory as opposed to films like Get Smart and Johnny English . Feig penned the script himself and looks to produce at Fox through his Feigco Entertainment banner. While in New York City promoting The Heat , Feig elaborated on the balance between comedy and realistic spy action in Susan Cooper and also touched on the possibilities for a Bridesmaids sequel, a project now entirely dependent on Kristen Wiig. Bridesmaids director Paul Feig is writing, directing, and producing a new movie described as a female James Bond spy comedy called Susan Cooper.

The Heat is Feig's next film coming out this month. It's a female buddy cop story that stars Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy. I personally don't think that looks that good, but when the trailer plays for audiences in the theaters people laugh, so I'm sure it will do ok.

Paul Feig will be continuing his recent trend of directing comedies led by a female cast with Susan Cooper. His 2011 female-led feature, Bridesmaids, was a mega success, bringing in $288 million. That film will be followed by The Heat later this month. After bridal parties and buddy cops, Feig’s new focus will be on a female spy who is said to be reminiscent of James Bond.
While not much can be said of the plot, Feig will be taking a more realistic approach, unlike other spy comedies such as Austin Powers or Johnny English. Similar to The Heat, two characters will lead the story. The possibility of creating a franchise is also being discussed.
In addition to directing, Feig has provided the script and will be producing. He was supposedly inspired by one of his favorite movies, the 1967 spoof Casino Royale starring Peter Sellers. If the two films have anything in common,...

“Bridesmaids” and “The Heat” director Paul Feig (above, who looks a bit like a more sophisticated Andy Dick) has written and plans to direct a new spy movie franchise centering around a female James Bond for 20th Century Fox. Since Feig has spent most of his time in comedies, the spy franchise will be a comedy, but not a parody of the spy genre ala “Johnny English” or “Get Smart”. The funny thing is, “Susan Cooper” is being described as a “realistic comedy”. I’m not sure what that means exactly, or how it relates to the idea of a female James Bond/spy character. In any case, the search is now on for a female lead for the film. I’m guessing they’ll want someone in their early ’30s or late ’20s who can do action and stick around for sequels. A few years ago I would automatically think Sandra Bullock,...

This summer, director Paul Feig will attempt another summer comedy hit with The Heat, starring Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy as two cops from different sides of the tracks. It remains to be seen if the film will become as successful as Feig's wedding comedy Bridesmaids, but those are some big shoes to fill. In the meantime, Feig is already lining up his next project, and it seems like he's the man to keep female comedians working on the big screen. The Wrap has word that Feig is developing a James Bond style action comedy called Susan Cooper with an eye towards the project kicking off a franchise for Fox. More below! Unlike more recent spy comedies like Get Smart and Johnny English, this will take a more realistic approach the the female secret agent element. The Producers Guild of America has announced its nominations for best productions for 2013. Rather like the Golden Globes, these nominations serve as an indication of the films that may be in line for a win at the 2013 Academy Awards.
Of course Argo, Lincoln, Les Miserables, Life of Pi and Django Unchained are among the films announced by the PGA for this year. However, against all odds, and perhaps to the surprise of critics, fans and pretty much everybody, Skyfall has also been nominated – the first time ever for a 007 movie.
While the pompous Hollywood Academy could only come up with one Oscar nomination and a Golden Globe win for Best Song (well done Adele!), Skyfall has racked up eight UK BAFTA nominations. It’s a clear indication that the film has earned more than just massive box office receipts. And there are quite a few good...

We all love it when a lovable moron saves the day in a film. The stereotypical archetype for the stupid character has evolved (rather ironically) to be a very diverse character, ranging from your stoner-comedy duos to nerdy, incompetent support characters being thrust into the limelight. When they go against the odds and save the day, they do it with such eccentric, albeit usually accidental, brilliance that you can’t help but smile.
So here’s a tribute to some of those endearing idiots and the brave accomplishments they’ve made.
10. Johnny English – Johnny English/Johnny English Reborn
Why is he an idiot?
Rowan Atkinson is very well known for portraying a very different character from the slapstick secret agent Johnny English, but more of that later. For now, he’s the gadget breaking, Queen beating agent that adorned our screens back in 2003, before making a long-overdue return in 2011.
Not...
