Cheap and cheerful horror anthology nonsense. The central story concerns an hunchback and zombie who are hosting an halloween movie viewing party for various other monsters. They get hold of a videotape named Creeptales consiting of various horror shorts.
First tales entitled 'Warped' follows a niece being held hostage by her crazy aunt, because she learns her aunts bizarre secret that she's possibaly got a mutant offspring in her attic. The second story is called 'Snatcher' it's basicly a one song short following a guy who snatches womens purses, he ends up stealing the wrong one when the bag turns out to be a monster. 3rd ones 'The Closet' and follows the tired and tested kid can't sleep because he thinks he's a monster in his closet. The 4th one's named 'Grouvey Goulie Garage' and follows the old 2000 Maniacs formula of a town, here called called Tower Springs thats full of dead residents returning for one day a year. The 5th story 'Something Nightmare' is your old hunters straying into a werewolf story. The final tale and my personal fave is entitled 'Sucker' its about a strange door to door sales man trying to sell a possessed hand held vacume cleaner to an housewife wanting to get rid of her husband.
The wrap around tales very poor and in truth none of the storys are that unique, but they're all fun enough and loaded with amusing characters and clearly made with enthusisam. I really enjoyed it, would make a solid enough mix for anyone seeking something for halloween or for fans of 1980's cheese in general.

Substandard anthology horror about a set of bored passengers retelling their nightmares while waiting for a connection in a bus stop. The first tales about a woman being stalked in a swimming pool by a guy who died in a divining accident five years before. Next is a tale about a scout being stalked by a crazed camp leader during a weekend camping trip. The third follows a lonely woman who fantasizes about a TV news reader, he later turns out to be a vampire. The fourth follows a man who gains the gift of bringing people back from the dead, only he ends up bringing an axe murderer back by mistake. The final tale follows a professor who gives a college lecture about an ancient evil creature, only one student becomes possessed. The film wraps with the passengers getting on their bus, only their destination is not where they expected to be heading.
Really poor offering from Troma this, they were clearly aiming for something like Creepshow but Chillers tales are as mild as those from the children television series Goosebumps.

The next 'the Green Room' follows three frat pledges as they spend the night in a creepy old house as part of an initiation. The last 'Crazy Annie' is about an uptight college girl who murders a date that comes on too strong for her. The film ends with the students scared out of their minds after the night of creepy tales, as a strange wind rips through the cabin.
Tame by most horror anthology standards, aimed at the PG market. Screams of a Winter Night still has a few brief moments offering genuine chills. It's notable to horror genre fans because it was the first film produced by Full Moon Productions.
