Florida native Michael A. Hoffman has worked in all facets of the entertainment industry.

Starting as a production assistant, Hoffman worked on numerous "shoestring budgeted" efforts produced by cult icon Tim Ritter; including: Screaming for Sanity: Truth or Dare 3 (1998), Dirty Cop 2: I Am a Pig (2001), and Dirty Cop No Donut (1999). At this time, Hoffman was heightening his film making abilities while paving the way for an opportunity to finance and produce his own "no-budget" features. This opportunity arrived in 2001, when his first directorial effort, Scary Tales (2001), garnered worldwide distribution. A micro-budgeted sequel, Scary Tales: The Return of Mr. Longfellow (2003), soon followed and Hoffman was able to utilize a large cast of popular horror film veterans. Joe Estevez ("Hell Asyum"), Robert Z'Dar ("Maniac Cop") and Felissa Rose ("Sleepaway Camp") all joined the returning players. Both films received extensive amounts of screenings, including: Screamfest, Florida - 2005, The Rebel International Film Festival, Tennessee - 2005 (where Scary Tales 2 won best feature) and Dark Xmas, Ohio - 2005.

2005 proved to be a year of change for Hoffman, finding him working on larger-scale productions. Since then, he has established himself as a staple in independent film, commercials, music videos and industrial productions. He has worked as a writer (helming a draft of director Corbin Bernsen's in production "The Clown"), to production manager (the St. Louis Cardinals' 2008 ad campaign "Play Like a Cardinal"), to DP/camera operator (working on both the 2008 documentary "Rock and a Hard Place: Another Night at the Agora", which features Johnny Depp, and the music video for D_Composure's "Faking the Deathwish"), to editor (mastering final edit on "Hogzilla" starring Joe Bob Briggs) and director (the controversial "ROT: Reunion of Terror").

2008 found Hoffman extending his capabilities even further, merging with Bongiovi Entertainment. The Florida-based entertainment and technology company offered Hoffman a studio where he can edit, produce and oversee productions from conception through completion while utilizing the latest in HD advancements. This partnership also extended Hoffman's love of music (having 9 years of classical piano under his belt); allowing him to work alongside master musicians, sound engineers and music producers. This newly formed alliance offers independent filmmakers and advertising companies the opportunity to achieve high-end orchestral scores, master edits and sound mixes all under one roof.

Hoffman's latest feat is heading the internet ad campaign for the KDS-100 radio from JVC, which was invented by legendary music producer Tony Bongiovi (The Ramones, Bon Jovi). This advertising campaign has extended from Las Vegas to Detroit (Motown Recording Studios).

Hoffman is one editor/independent filmmaker who proves that it is possible to climb from the no-budget trenches and achieve one's dreams.
