Cameran Eubanks is showing off her baby bump! The Southern Charm star shared two gorgeous maternity photos, taken by her friend Kristin Burke, on Instagram Sunday. One photo shows Eubanks holding her baby bump with one hand and holding her husband Jason Wimberly's hand in the other while the couple walks down the beach. The second stunning pic is a solo photo of Eubanks on the beach, wearing the same beautiful strapless dress with buttons down the front in both pictures. "Thank you to my wonderful and talented friend @kburkeyburke for taking these maternity photos," Eubanks captioned the post. "Dress is @fillyboomaternity. It was late November, 2016 when I visited the set of The Conjuring 2 (directed by James Wan). The reason I never wrote about it for Clothes on Film or anywhere else was because of my official role on the day: I was playing an extra (or background artist if you like) during the film’s Maida Vale pub scene. Specifically this is the moment when real life husband and wife paranormal investigator team, Lorraine (Vera Farmiga) and Ed Warren (Patrick Wilson) meet with noted experts in their field to discuss the validity of their current case, aka the Enfield poltergeist. I made the finished cut, by the skin of my teeth I imagine. If you are so inclined, look out for a lightly moustachioed fella with curly hair sitting at the bar. Yes, that’s me.
The Conjuring 2 is set in 1977, London. This is a very specific look both...

At the end of James Wan’s The Conjuring, I had a big smile on my face at the thought of a studio building a smart and fun horror franchise using Ed and Lorraine Warren as the foundation, and tonight, after seeing The Conjuring 2, I am relieved to see that they got it absolutely right. The screenplay, credited to Carey Hayes & Chad Hayes & James Wan and David Leslie Johnson, is very smart about the way it opens with a seance in the Amityville house. Amityville is where the Warrens made their reputations as paranormal investigators, so it makes sense to eventually tell that story, but it’s also been made and re-made and told a dozen different ways. Instead of making the mistake of dedicating an entire film to it, they use it to set several story threads into motion and also to show how the Warrens were constantly...

If you watch supernatural cop show Sleepy Hollow on Fox (Universal in the UK), you will definitely know who Kristin Burke is. Her sartorial contribution to the first season has ingrained the series with a handsome, consistent, yet oddly plausible look. We say ‘oddly’ because the show is, for want of a better term, completely batshit crazy; a mix of 18th century drama and modern day X-Files, involving headless horsemen, a tree monster, deadly black vein disease, and all manner of creepy mythology based beasties. It’s terrific fun.
Kristin M. Burke is what we would politely call a veteran costume designer, over 50 films to her name, although not someone especially used to working in television. Her big screen credits include The Cooler, Running Scared, Paranormal Activity 2, Insidious, The Conjuring, and Insidious 2. Kudos for spotting the trend – there are several horror titles in that list. The genre it seems...

Inside Llewyn Davis

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1
Trish Summerville out, Kurt & Bart in for the third Hunger Games movie. Odd after Summerville being such a successful choice, but we get the feeling this is most intentional. Cash hungry producers have realised Katniss’ costume designers are a selling point in the world of fashion. They want to keep it fresh.
American Horror Story: Coven
Superqueen looks at the finale. We didn’t read this because there are spoilers within. It’s Superqueen though, and she always writes good stuff.

What a busy twelve months it’s been for costume design. Really though, this art, or craft, or business (Deborah Nadoolman Landis insists it is definitely a business) gets more talked about each year. 2013 was especially exciting however as it seemed every month something even more thrilling arrived to fawn over. In the last few weeks alone we have had The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and Sleepy Hollow, and now American Hustle and The Wolf of Wall Street on the horizon. Dipping back further, it was Stoker that got us excited about subtext, The Great Gatsby that slammed the lid on that twenties revival once and for all, and Behind the Candelabra that put Michael Douglas in a 16ft fox fur cape and white brocade jumpsuit.

A haunted family struggles to uncover a terrifying secret that has left them dangerously connected to the spirit world in Insidious: Chapter 2, the latest nerve-twisting horror thriller from director James Wan and screenwriter Leigh Whannell.
Insidious centers on the troubles of the Lamberts, a suburban family who leave their haunted house for a new home, only to learn it’s not their house that is haunted – it’s their eldest son. Insidious: Chapter 2 rejoins the family as they try to put their recent troubles behind them, but discover that the spirits that have tormented them are far from finished.
Produced by Jason Blum (Paranormal Activity, Insidious) and Oren Peli (Paranormal Activity, Insidious), the sequel reteams the cast of the first film, including Patrick Wilson (Hard Candy, Watchmen, Little Children), Rose Byrne (X-Men: First Class, Bridesmaids, 28 Weeks Later), Barbara Hershey (Black Swan, The Portrait of a Lady), Lin Shaye (There’s Something About Mary,...

The powers-that-be over at New Line are expecting to scare up some decent box office cash this weekend as The Conjuring begins haunting theatres. In fact, they're so confident in the flick (which they should be since it's pretty awesome), they're already thinking franchise.
New Line president Toby Emmerich tells Variety that New Line is exploring a potential franchise based on the Warrens’ investigations, which also involved cases that wound up as the movies The Amityville Horror and The Haunting in Connecticut. “We have Lorraine’s permission and support, and we are working on developing another film,” Emmerich said.

Warning: There Are Mild Spoilers Ahead
As written previously, Lili Taylor’s character, Caroline, seems to endure some hands-on experiences with Bathsheba, the witch spirit. Taylor expands on the film’s story and her character’s place in it. “She’s really scared for a lot of it, and then she’s like ferocious for the last part of it.” We’d been tipped off there is a bit of possession in the mix as well. Taylor explains her process for these scenes: “You know, that’s other worldly, is what it is. I mean, and if you’ve ever seen people who are possessed, really, really possessed, it’s almost like they...

A match ignites in the dark. A trembling woman’s frail features are barely lit by its glow. We see a staircase below her descending into that blackness. The anxiety of the moment can be heard in the heavy breaths taken by our heroine.
The match burns too low and burns her, causing her to drop it, and the light flickers out. As she eases slowly into darkness, trying in vain to light her way with wooden matches, we wonder if some creature that loves the empty shadows will reveal itself... and when.
