Since the 86th annual Academy Awards is upon us, I thought I pay a tribute to the actors and actresses who deserve honor mentions for their outstanding performance. Sometimes, it seems unfair that the Oscars overlook the performers who receive rave reviews for their acting performances. I dislike when the media says there are Oscar buzz for the actors and actress; then, a few months later the performers do not receive any nomination, which can be quite disappointing and frustrating to the performers and the fans.

“ This actor is the Robert De niro of our generation in my opinion. Look at all the quality performances he has acted in throughout his career. He should have had at least 7 or 8 nominations by now. This Boy's Life, Titantic, The Departed, Inception, J. Edgar, and Django Unchained. Hopefully, the Oscars finally give him an Oscar for his next movie, The Great Gatsby. ” - horne_jeffrey

“ I know he has been nominated for 5 Oscars, which were all well-deserves. However, ocassionally, I feel some of his performances are overlooked. In 1989, MF received an Oscar nomination for his role in Driving Ms. Daisy, which was well-dserved. However, he was excellent in Lean On Me, which I thought he was worthy of an Oscar nomination, perhaps even deserving of the trophy. What a shame! ” - horne_jeffrey

“ This legendry actor paid his dues in Hollywood. However, I thought he should have been Oscar nominated in Heaven and Earth 1993 film. In that movie, I felt his pain because he feared his wife was going to divorce him when he returned from war, which resulted him to loosing his mind, PSTD. When he cried in the movie, I wanted to cry with him, which is the actors' job. They are suppose to make the fans feel what they are feeling in the movie. ” - horne_jeffrey

“ One of the very best actors of all time. However, there are few times were the Oscar and Golden Globe fail to recognize his top notch acting efforts.
