Non German language movies i've watched in "Original Language" first and/or only!

by volker-80 | created - 25 Jun 2018 | updated - 5 months ago | Public

Mostly because songs and/or singing parts are often replaced by poorly arranged german-dubbed versions of german speaking vocalists - therefore kids (or non-english understanding viewers) can follow the story without reading subtitles instead!

So if you watch it as an adult it is a big letdown in comparison to the original-language version!

Or you can't translate a joke or a idiomatic expression in another language that make sense in the dubbed version!

Or the dialogue director screwed it up - in his/her "mental derangement"!

Watch the ORIGINAL VERSION if german is your main language!!!

When the actor "Michael Fassbender" (he has a german father and an Irish mother) enters the pub in the village Nadine you will fully understand the scene and the surprised reaction of the real german actors/characters! Because he really hasn't an attributable german accent or dialect!

Mélanie Laurent's character "Shosanna" also doesn't speak german in the original version! It's questionable if she understands german at all, or if she's hiding her ability to understand it!
