Last year, Ashley Greene (the Twilight saga) and Shawn Ashmore (Adam Green’s Frozen) shared the screen in the Netflix-released thriller Aftermath. Now Deadline reports that Greene and Ashmore have been reunited on the set of the supernatural horror film It Feeds, which is currently in production.
It Feeds will tell the story of a young girl who insists that a malevolent entity is feeding on her. Greene’s character is “a clairvoyant therapist who must confront her own personal demons to save the girl before she is taken completely.” Ashmore is playing “the anguished father, desperately struggling to protect his daughter.”
Deadline doesn’t name the director of It Feeds or the screenwriter, but they do mention that this film is the first in what is planned to be a ten-film slate of genre projects that’s coming our way from Productivity Media Inc and Black Fawn Films.

Ray Donovan star Liev Schreiber is getting locked and loaded for a holiday-themed action movie from Gangs of London director Xavier Gens called The Guns of Christmas Past. Deadline says Schreiber is negotiating for the lead role in Gens’s genre mash-up, described as “A Christmas Carol meets John Wick.”
The story revolves around Ebb, a former hitman for the mob who emerges from the shadows when his best friend gets killed. Ebb plans to infiltrate the enemy’s compound to inflict revenge, but the past, present, and future ghosts haunt him throughout the night to ruin his plans. Gens directs from a script by Andrew Hilton, with Navid McIlhargey and Erik Olsen producing.
I’m sorry, what? This movie sounds wacky! It’s like something Frank Cross from Scrooged would air on Ibc Television on Christmas Eve. After 2022’s Violent Night, starring David Habour, outlandish Christmas movies are the new holiday hotness.

Like all superheroes (or anyone else who uses a secret identity), there came a moment when someone finally cracked the code and published my real name. To be fair, my identity was a pretty poorly-kept secret by that point. The first time I went to an actual press event, I used my real name, and anytime I met someone, I used my real name. "Moriarty" was a fun identity to slip into, and especially in the early days of the site, we played up the mythology of things. My friends all got their own spy names and would show up in the reports in the form of Henchman Mongo and Segue Zagnut and Harry Lime and more. From my end, it was silly and fun, and not something to be taken seriously. But when Film Threat ran a fairly vicious hit piece on Harry, I was also a target, and...

The Jonathan Mostow-directed, Sam Worthington-led thriller "For The Dogs" has undergone a title change to "Hunter’s Prayer" and scored a financial commitment from Screen Yorkshire.
Based on Kevin Wignall's novel, Worthington plays a solitary assassin who is hired to kill a young girl but can’t bring himself to do it. After he fails to carry out the task, both are marked for death and hunted across Europe.
Their only hope is to find out why her family were killed and bring those responsible to justice. Emma Roberts and Hailee Steinfeld were both previously linked to the project but are no longer in the frame, so casting continues for the female lead.
Worthington, Navid McIlhargey, Anthony Rhulen, Chris Milburn, Paul Leyden, and John and Michael Schwarz will produce. Filming begins in the UK and Hungary next year.

Hey, if you needed a professional hitman to protect you from other professional hitmen, I don’t suppose the guy from “Avatar” is such a bad choice. Minus the wheelchair, I mean. Sam Worthington has signed on to star in “Salt” director Phillip Noyce’s “For the Dogs”, a film that would find the “Terminator Salvation” star playing “an assassin who agrees to help a bright college girl exact revenge on those who mercilessly murdered her parents and younger brother.” Noyce will direct for FilmEngine Entertainment from a script by Oren Moverman, who adapted the novel of the same name by Kevin Wignall. Worthington’s character will be one of those brooding hitman trying to get out of the business, but keeps getting pulled back in. Wignall’s novel is a bloody, fast-pace thriller, so expect the movie to be similarly action-packed. Anthony Rhulen and Navid McIlhargey will produce. Sam Worthington...

Adam Cozad, the young writer who penned The Gray Man thriller, has signed on to write Archangel for New Regency. Back in the fall of 2010 we wrote that Joe Kosinski was attached to direct the project and that has not changed at this point. The Tron Legacy director will direct the film that is classified as an extraterrestrial thriller being produced by Scott Free (brothers Ridley and Tony). Based on an initial script by Andrew Will, the film follows “a secret unit of the military that tracks and hunts down aliens among us.”
Cozad was hired by Navid McIlhargey, who is overseeing the film for Regency. He was impressed with Cozad’s work on Gray Man. Cozad also recently penned the reboot of the Jack Ryan franchise starring Chris Pine and being directed by Jack Bender.

Kossinski is a good director, Tron: Legacy made $400 million at the box-office worldwide. The major problem with that film was it's script. I am looking forward to seeing the new Jack Ryan film and am guessing that Cozad must have some talent.

New Regency has hired Adam Cozad to rewrite Archangel, a script by Andrew Will. Joseph Kosinski is attaching to direct with Scott Free producing and Regency's Navid McIlhargey steering. The pic focuses on a secret unit of the military that tracks and hunts down aliens living among us. Cozad adapted Gray Man for New Regency (Brad Pitt was eyeing the picture, but is doing World War Z instead). Cozad also wrote Moscow for Paramount, which has been eyed for the studio's Jack Ryan film. That picture has been pushed and is going to get a rewrite. Exclusive: James Gray has been set to direct The Gray Man, New Regency's adaptation of Mark Greaney's thriller novel. Script was written by Adam Cozad, who also scripted the Jack Ryan franchise reboot for Paramount with Chris Pine and director Jack Bender. Targeted by a powerful multinational corporation, a former CIA operative-turned ultimate assassin must fight his way across Europe and past special forces teams from around the world in order to save the life of his handler and the handler's family. New Regency's Navid McIlhargey is steering the film. The action terrain is something of a departure for Gray, who last wrote and directed We Own the Night and Two Lovers. He tells me he has a very specific plan to shoot the film that will distinguish it from past assassin-on-the-run thrillers like the Jason Bourne films. That is to have the point of view come from the assassin.
