“Spa Night” and “Fire Island” filmmaker Andrew Ahn is set to direct Lily Gladstone and Bowen Yang in a new take on “The Wedding Banquet” that has been described as a “reimagination” of Ang Lee’s beloved 1993 film.
The new project, which was announced on Thursday by co-producers Bleecker Street and Shivhans Pictures and begins filming in May, is based on a new script by Ahn and frequent Lee collaborator James Schamus, who co-wrote the original film.
Lee’s “The Wedding Banquet” won the Golden Bear at the 1993 Berlin International Film Festival and helped cement his status as a notable figure in the global film community. The film stars Winston Chao as a gay Taiwanese man living in America who agrees to a marriage of convenience with a female friend, only to find his life complicated when his overbearing parents travel to America to plan his wedding banquet. Kim Ki-young will be forever remembered for one of the undeniable Korean masterpieces, 1960's “The Housemaid”. Recently, however, and particularly after Youn Yuh-jung won the Oscar for “Minari”, much light was shed to some of his previous works that included her in the starring roles, “Woman of Fire” and “Insect Woman”, both well accepted films that featured a narrative similar to that of “The Housemaid”. On the other hand, “An Experience to Die For”, the third collaboration between the two, was made in 1990 as Kim's last work, but was not released as he is said to have been disappointed with the outcome and decided not to release it. The film was submitted to the censors twice — once in 1990 and again in 1995, but was not screened for the public until the 1998 Busan International Film Festival, following Kim's untimely death in a house fire.

By taking home the 2024 Best Actor Oscar for “Oppenheimer,” Cillian Murphy blazed a trail as the first Irish-born lead performer ever honored by the film academy. Prior to his victory, there had not been a native Irish acting winner in over 30 years nor any from his city of Cork, as the only earlier examples had involved supporting winners and fellow Dubliners Barry Fitzgerald and Brenda Fricker. His historic achievement brings the total number of different countries that have produced acting champs during the last decade to eight.
As has been the case throughout practically all of Oscars history, the United States is by far the dominant birthplace among the 2015-2024 acting winners. The 2024 Oscar nominees for Best Supporting Actress are Emily Blunt (“Oppenheimer”), Danielle Brooks (“The Color Purple”), America Ferrera (“Barbie”), Jodie Foster (“Nyad”), and Da’Vine Joy Randolph (“The Holdovers”). Our odds currently indicate that Randolph (3/1) will emerge victorious, followed in order of likelihood by Blunt (4/1), Brooks (4/1), Ferrera (9/2), and Foster (9/2).
The only one of these five actresses with any previous Oscar bids to her name is Foster, who is also this year’s oldest nominee by two full decades. Before she bagged two lead trophies for “The Accused” (1989) and “The Silence of the Lambs” (1992), she broke through at age 14 with a supporting mention for “Taxi Driver” (1977), becoming the seventh youngest Oscar-nominated performer at the time. Since 47 years separate her first and second featured notices, she now holds the record for longest span between consecutive bids in a single acting category.

Mari Yamamoto will star opposite Brendan Fraser in Hikari’s “Rental Family.” The film follows a down and out actor living in Tokyo, who is hired as the token American guy for a Japanese rental family company providing professional stand-in services. The Searchlight Pictures’ release will commence principal photography next week in Japan.
Yamamoto was most recently seen in the Apple TV+ series “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters,” a sci-fi epic in which she appeared with Kurt Russell, Wyatt Russell and Kiersey Clemmons. Prior to that series, she was seen in another Apple production, “Pachinko” opposite Youn Yuh-Jung and Jin Ha.

Odds are that three of the four individual film winners at the SAG Awards on February 24 will be collecting Oscars two weeks later. Over the past 29 years, 87 of the 116 Academy Awards winners in the four acting races had first collected SAG Awards. That success rate of 75% makes this precursor prize a key bellwether to follow when making your 2024 Oscar predictions.
In each of the last two years, all four SAG champs repeated at the Oscars. In 2023, leads Michelle Yeoh (“Everything Everywhere All at Once”) and Brendan Fraser (“The Whale”) plus “Everything” featured performers Jamie Lee Curtis and Ke Huy Quan all had a chance to practice their Oscar acceptance speeches at these guild kudos. Likewise in 2022 for leads Will Smith (“King Richard”) and Jessica Chastain (“The Eyes of Tammy Faye”) plus supporting players Troy Kotsur (“Coda”) and Ariana DeBose (“West Side Story”).
But be warned: a perfect record of 4 for 4 has occurred just 10 times.

Filmmaker Lee Isaac Chung broke out with 2020’s “Minari,” which landed multiple Oscar nominations including two for Chung (Best Director and Best Original Screenplay) and Best Picture. (The film won an Oscar for Yuh-Jung Youn in Best Supporting Actress.) Now, four years later, Chung is back and with an expected follow-up: “Twisters,” a sequel to 1996’s blockbuster hit “Twister.”
Universal debuted the first trailer for “Twisters” during Sunday’s Super Bowl, and the spot immediately spiked online interest in Chung’s first studio picture thanks to the way the spot teases the film’s massive set pieces and star appeal courtesy of Glen Powell. The actor, who helped “Anyone But You” become a sleeper hit and pops off the screen in Netflix’s “Hit Man” (out June 7), plays a storm chaser named Tyler Owens who helps “Twisters” protagonist Kate Cooper (Daisy Edgar-Jones) regain her mojo after a tragedy. Writer-director Sean Wang is tough on himself in “Dìdi,” a fresh and funny summer-before-freshman-year flashback that provides an Asian American angle on that Sundanciest of indie-film genres: the semi-autobiographical coming-of-age movie. In what feels like a cross between Bing Liu’s “Minding the Gap” and Jonah Hill’s “mid90s” — courtesy of the young director’s teenage desire to make skate videos — Wang serves up some of his most wince-inducing adolescent memories, from an aborted first kiss to the realization that he’d been trying to downplay his Taiwanese heritage.
Hacky creative writing coaches are always insisting, “Write what you know.” And yet, when the result comes out as specific and self-effacing as Wang’s Fremont, Calif.-set time capsule, it’s hard to improve on that advice. After a career as producer and few short films, independent director Kim Cho-hee brings to light her debut feature, “Lucky Chan-sil”, a charming story of, well … a film producer, dealing with the challenges that life throws at her. Like many of this year's movies, her work was caught in the COVID19 storm, just in between Festival runs and (cancelled) theatrical releases; therefore, after gaining a rich palmarès in Festivals (Kbs Independent Film Award and the Cgv Arthouse Award at Biff and the Audience Award at the Seoul Independent Film Festival), got stalled abruptly. Hopefully not for long.

In 2023, Jamie Lee Curtis reaped her first Oscar bid at age 64 and won for “Everything Everywhere All at Once.” In 2021 Youn Yuh-jung, who is renowned in her native South Korea, won at age 73 for her first English film, “Minari.” And in 2020, the academy honored past nominee Laura Dern who finally took home an Oscar for her scene-stealing performance in “Marriage Story.” (Scroll down for the most up-to-date 2024 Oscar predictions for Best Supporting Actress.)

Julianne Moore is predicted to land her sixth Oscar nomination thanks to her delicious role in Todd Haynes‘ Netflix melodrama “May December.” In this one, Moore features as an older woman named Gracie who is married with kids to Charles Melton‘s much younger Joe. The two are the subject of an upcoming movie and actress Elizabeth (Natalie Portman) visits them in order to properly portray Gracie. The in-movie movie will explore their scandalous affair, which started years ago when Joe was only 13.

The Critics Choice Awards is renowned as one of the best barometers for predicting the Oscars. Over its 28-year history, these kudos have previewed 16 Best Picture Oscar winners as well as 23 Best Director, 19 Best Actor, 15 Best Actress, 18 Supporting Actor and 19 Supporting Actress champs. Let’s take a closer look at the results of the last seven awards seasons to see if the Critics Choice Awards are still a good luck charm to have in hand when making your 2024 Oscar predictions.
Last year, these kudos foresaw three of the five big Oscar wins for “Everything Everywhere All at Once”: Best Picture, Director (Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert) and Supporting Actor (Ke Huy Quan). However, the Cca went with Cate Blanchett (“Tar”) for Best Actress over Michelle Yeoh and Angela Bassett (“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”) for Supporting Actress rather than Jamie Lee Curtis. The critics and academy concurred on Brendan Fraser (“The Whale”) for Best Actor.

The Los Angeles Film Critics Association (Lafca) revealed its 49th annual award winners on Sunday, December 10. It was a great day for “The Zone of Interest,” which was showered with four prizes: Best Picture, Best Director (Jonathan Glazer), Best Lead Performance (Sandra Hüller), and Best Score (Mica Levi).
Hüller’s win was in fact a body-of-work one that simultaneously came in recognition of her turn in “Anatomy of a Fall.” That French production was also given Best Editing and Best Film Not in the English Language. The only other multi-award winner was “Poor Things,” which shared in Best Lead Performance (Emma Stone) and Best Cinematography. Lily Gladstone (“Killers of the Flower Moon”) switching from Best Supporting Actress to Best Actress feels like some time ago now but the impact of that move can still be felt as the former category is the most open race we have this year. Such an open race, however, leads to excitement and surprise, leaving the door open for any number of contenders to take the lead in this race.
And no performance deserves to be out in front more in this category than Julianne Moore‘s role in Todd Haynes‘ “May December.” Moore collaborates with Haynes again after they worked together in several movies including “Far From Heaven,” but Netflix’s “May December” is a bold new entry in their canon that you can now catch in US theaters after it released on November 17. Is this the year of Sandra Hüller?
The German actress is currently starring in not one, but two high-profile projects that might have the goods to carry her through awards season.
Hüller’s versatility is on display in Neon’s Palme d’Or-winning courtroom thriller “Anatomy of a Fall,” where she plays a woman accused of murdering her husband, and A24’s Holocaust drama “The Zone of Interest,” where she plays a woman whose husband was one of history’s most notorious murderers. In the former, Hüller speaks English, with a smattering of French; in the latter, she appears as Hedwig Höss, the wife of Auschwitz commandant Rudolf Höss, registering her evil in her native German. The roles couldn’t be more distinctive, and the rare double act is already earning Hüller comparisons to international screen sirens like Ingrid Bergman, Isabelle Huppert and Liv Ullmann.

In addition to her duties serving on the jury of Busan’s New Currents competition, U.S.-based producer Christina Oh will be meeting a group of Korean filmmakers at the festival to talk about upcoming film projects and attempt to build more bridges between the film industries of Korea and the U.S.
Speaking at the Busan New Currents jury press conference, Oh said she feels that opportunities are growing for filmmakers from Korea and other diaspora communities to make films in North America.
“With the success of films like Parasite, Minari and Past Lives there’s an interesting trend towards being more inclusive of films from, not just Korea, but other countries,” said Oh, a Korean-American producer who has credits including Lee Isaac Chung’s Minari and Bong Joon Ho’s Okja.

It’s no exaggeration to say that Korea’s Busan International Film Festival (Biff) has been through a fair amount of drama this year.
The turmoil started in May when Biff chairman Lee Yong-kwan appointed a close associate, Cho Jongkook, as managing director alongside artistic director Huh Moonyung, a decision that proved highly unpopular with some sectors of the local Korean film industry.
Huh resigned, and in an apparently unrelated development, was accused of sexual harassment by a festival employee around the same time. Lee also resigned, Cho was dismissed by the Biff board, and Oh Seok-geun, director of Busan’s Asian Contents & Film Market (Acfm), who had supported Lee’s decision to hire Cho, also stepped down. By early July, four of the festival’s top management were out of the door.

At this year’s Venice Film Festival, the two recipients of the festival’s major acting award, the vaunted Volpi Cup, had more in common than their lauded performances. Both “Memory” star Peter Sarsgaard and “Priscilla” star Cailee Spaeny were able to attend their films’ respective premieres because the films’ producers were granted interim agreements from SAG-AFTRA that allowed the stars to head to the Lido and promote their films.
As the AMPTP, studio brass, and the Writers Guild head back to the bargaining table this week, cautious optimism that at least one strike might soon end is creeping into Hollywood. And with awards season in the offing, perhaps the pressure of a starry season without stars might just push forward SAG negations.

Steven Yeun has bucked stereotypes and carved a new niche as sexy Asian leading man with his roles in “Burning” and “Beef.” Justin Chon transitioned from a supporting role in “Twilight” to directing “Gook,” “Jamojaya” and half of Apple TV+’s “Pachinko.” And Busan-born Daniel Dae Kim has expanded from “Lost” and “Hawaii” to becoming one of Hollywood’s leading producers.
The stateside successes of Korean-born and Korean American talent are growing and are worth celebrating. But the Busan International Film Festival’s planned party is being dialed down a notch under the impact of the twin writers’ and SAG Actors strikes in the U.S.
Busan’s ‘Special Program in Focus: Korean Diasporic Cinema’ will go ahead with a screening schedule including six films, public talk sessions that include Oscar-winning actor Youn Yuh-jung, Lee Isaac Chung, director of Oscar-winning film “Minari,” and John Cho, the Seoul-born “Star Trek” and “Searching” star.

Stars Acting Up At Busan
Oscar-winning Korean actor Youn Yuh-jung will headline the Actors’ House section of the upcoming Busan International Film Festival, it was announced on Thursday.
Introduced in 2021, Actors’ House is a special series that connects audiences and film enthusiasts with iconic actors from the current generation through its in-depth discussions. “There’s much anticipation to hear her words of wisdom, as she’s known for her insightful observations,” said the festival.
Others this year include: Han Hyo-joo, Song Joong-ki and Korean-American actor and author John Cho. Han is known for performances in 2015’s “The Beauty Inside,” “W” (2016), “Happiness (2021), and last year’s “The Pirates: The Last Royal Treasure.” She will be in Busan with Netflix-backed “Believer 2” and recently appeared in the Disney+ original series, “Moving.”
Song, who hosted the 2021 Busan festival’s opening ceremony, was recently seen in “Hopeless,” one of the handful of Korean films in Cannes this year.

As we begin to edge our way toward Oscars season, so, too, will our anticipation for the upcoming contenders increase. But to figure out who might get nominated in the near future, we need to look back into the past. We’re going to do that for all four acting categories, starting here with Best Supporting Actress. So, for starters, sink your teeth into the below chart that takes a look at the last 10 years of Oscars history.
Now, there are two obvious takeaways straight off the bat: drama is the preferred genre in this category, while they actually prefer rewarding performances of fictional characters over real people. Eight out of the 10 winners were in dramas — Youn Yuh-jung (“Minari”), Laura Dern (“Marriage Story”), Regina King (“If Beale Street Could Talk”), Allison Janney, Viola Davis (“Fences”), Alicia Vikander (“The Danish Girl”), Patricia Arquette (“Boyhood”), and Lupita Nyong’o (“12 Years a Slave...

“Everything Everywhere All at Once” was exactly that at Sunday’s Academy Awards. The multiverse-hopping smash won seven Oscars and set a whole bunch of records in the process. Here are seven of them, all at once.
1. It has won the most above-the-line Oscars ever
We said this could happen, and it did. “Everything Everywhere” is the first movie to win six above-the-line Oscars: Best Picture, Best Director for Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, Best Actress for Michelle Yeoh, Best Supporting Actor for Ke Huy Quan, Best Supporting Actress for Jamie Lee Curtis, and Best Original Screenplay for the Daniels. The previous record was five, held by the three films who’ve swept the Big Five, “It Happened One Night” (1934), “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” (1976) and “The Silence of the Lambs” (1991).

It turns out the Academy really liked doing laundry and taxes with “Everything Everywhere All at Once” star Michelle Yeoh, who completed her recent sweep of best actress prizes with a thunderous, history-making win at the 95th Oscars for Best Actress in a Leading Role. She is the first-ever lead actress of Asian descent to win in all 95 years of the Academy Awards.
Yeoh, a titan of Asian cinema who famously performed a number of stunts in death-defying action classics such as “Supercop” and “Yes, Madam” before finding her way into the Bond movie “Tomorrow Never Dies,” the Ang Lee classic “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon,” “Memoirs of a Geisha,” and “Crazy Rich Asians.” She is a beloved industry legend and the Daniels wrote the role of Evelyn Wang in “Everything Everywhere All at Once” especially for her.

Michelle Yeoh cemented Oscars history on Sunday night as she became the first Asian person to win for lead actress.
Yeoh took home the first Academy Award of her celebrated career, for best actress in “Everything Everywhere All at Once.” The honor came after a long career in martial arts and action movies like “Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon” and “Yes, Madam.”
Directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, the zany sci-fi adventure centers on Yeoh’s Evelyn Wang, a middle-aged laundromat owner who, while being audited by the IRS, discovers she has to connect with versions of herself from parallel universes to prevent cataclysmic destruction.
“For all the little boys and girls who look like me watching tonight, this is a beacon of hope and possibilities,” Yeoh said from the stage. “This is proof that dreams do come true. And ladies, don’t let anybody tell you that you are ever past your prime.

The 2023 Oscar nominees for Best Supporting Actress are Angela Bassett (“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”), Hong Chau (“The Whale”), Kerry Condon (“The Banshees of Inisherin”), Jamie Lee Curtis (“Everything Everywhere All at Once”), and Stephanie Hsu (“Everything Everywhere All at Once”). Our odds currently indicate that Bassett (18/5) will emerge victorious, followed in order of likelihood by Condon (37/10), Curtis (19/5), Hsu (9/2), and Chau (9/2).
For the first time since 2012, all five of the women in this lineup are new to the category. The last instance involved winner Octavia Spencer (“The Help”) and nominees Bérénice Bejo (“The Artist”), Jessica Chastain (“The Help”), Melissa McCarthy (“Bridesmaids”), and Janet McTeer (“Albert Nobbs”). In a rare occurrence, three of the four acting categories are still up in the air as we inch closer to Oscar Sunday. And depending on the permutation of the victorious quartet, we could have one of the oldest groups of winners ever.
Most of the top contenders in each category are over the age of 50. Ke Huy Quan, the closest thing to a lock in Best Supporting Actor, is 51. His “Everything Everywhere All at Once” co-stars and fellow Screen Actors Guild Awards winners Michelle Yeoh and Jamie Lee Curtis are 60 and 64, respectively. Yeoh’s been neck and neck this whole time in Best Actress with Cate Blanchett (“TÁR”), who is 53. Curtis pulled off her supporting actress SAG upset over fellow 64-year-old veteran Angela Bassett (“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”). And in lead actor, SAG-AFTRA crowned 54-year-old Brendan Fraser for “The Whale.”

Since the enormous popularity surrounding Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe has never waned in the seven decades since they both rocketed to superstardom, it’s no wonder that Austin Butler and Ana de Armas sailed to Oscar nominations for portraying them in the 2022 films “Elvis” and “Blonde.” What is odd, however, is that the respective Best Actor and Best Actress hopefuls are the only ones nominated in any of this year’s acting categories for playing real people. While this 90 percent fictional character rate is far from unprecedented, it does stand in stark contrast to the preceding decade’s average of 59 percent and thus raises questions as to why academy voters chose to veer in the opposite direction.

The biography and the filmmaking career path of the American auteur Lee Isaac Chung is a bit peculiar. Born to first-generation Korean immigrant parents, he grew up in rural Arkansas, studied ecology at Yale and planned to go to a medical school before giving it up for his filmmaking dream. After a number of shorts realized during his studies at the University of Utah, his shot his first feature “Munyurangabo” (2007) in Rwanda and in Kinyarwanda language (as the first ever narrative feature film). It premiered at Cannes to a great critical reception, signalling a significant talent on the rise. His next two features, “Lucky Life” (2010) and “Abigail Harm” (2012) were more to the typical American indie side, while he went back to Rwanda to co-direct a documentary called “I Have Seen My Last Born” (2015).

After spending a couple awards cycles on the sidelines, A24 reemerged this year with more Oscar nominations than any other studio–18 between six films: “Everything Everywhere All at Once,” “The Whale,” “Aftersun,” “Causeway,” “Marcel the Shell With Shoes On,” and “Close.” The arthouse label is positioned to set an even more staggering record, though. If Oscar night, as it did in 2022, repeats both the SAG and DGA Awards–in other words, if “Eeaao” takes Best Actress (Michelle Yeoh), Best Supporting Actor (Ke Huy Quan), Best Supporting Actress (Jamie Lee Curtis), Best Director (Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert), and Best Picture, while Best Actor goes to “The Whale” (Brendan Fraser)–A24 will become the first studio in history to make a clean sweep of the top categories.

Odds are that three of the four individual film winners at the SAG Awards on February 26 — leads Michelle Yeoh (“Everything Everywhere All at Once”) and Brendan Fraser (“The Whale”) plus “Everything” featured performers Jamie Lee Curtis and Ke Huy Quan — will be collecting Oscars two weeks later.

Ke Huy Quan, the comeback star of “Everything Everywhere All at Once,” has been the feel-good story of the awards season — and he just made history at the Screen Actors Guild Awards with his win for best performance by a male actor in a supporting role.
While on stage accepting his award, an emotional Quan revealed that he only recently heard the news that he would be the first Asian male film winner. “This moment no longer belongs to just me, it also belongs to everyone who has asked for change,” he said. “When I stepped away from acting it was because there were so few opportunities.” The SAG winner then looked across the crowd calling out the current nominees including co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Stephanie Hsu. “The landscape looks so different now than before. So thank you so much to everyone in this room who contributed to these changes.

The BAFTA Awards just gave its acting prizes to Cate Blanchett (“TÁR“), Austin Butler (“Elvis”) and “The Banshees of Inisherin” duo Kerry Condon and Barry Keoghan, but we may have a different set of winners at Sunday’s Screen Actors Guild Awards. In fact, completely different if our odds prove to be correct. At the moment, Michelle Yeoh (“Everything Everywhere All at Once”), Brendan Fraser (“The Whale”), Angela Bassett (“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”) and Ke Huy Quan (“Everything Everywhere All at Once”) are the projected champs, which would mean no overlap with the Brits. But how many times have SAG and BAFTA gone 0 for 4?
Since BAFTA became an Oscar precursor 22 years ago, the answer to that is zero. Even with various snubs, ineligible films and category messiness — Jennifer Connelly (2001’s “A Beautiful Mind”) losing in lead at SAG and winning in supporting at BAFTA; Alicia Vikander (2015’s “The Danish Girl...

For every actor that wins multiple Oscars, there are others who, no matter how much they put into their roles and how much campaigning they do, just can’t make the conversion into winning their first Academy Award.
More often than not, it’s just a matter of bad timing, like being nominated for an Oscar in the same year as one of the four actors mentioned above. There’s just no way of knowing when you’re taking on a role or shooting a film or even once a movie gets out to the critics, how things might change in the time before Oscar night.

Leading executives from the Japanese firm outline their strategy for the year ahead.
Gaga Corporation has secured Japan rights to Max and Sam Eggers’ upcoming psychological horror The Front Room from A24.
It marks the feature directorial debut of the Eggers Brothers, whose sibling Robert Eggers has worked with A24 on The Witch and The Lighthouse. Max, who co-wrote The Lighthouse, and Sam, who co-wrote Olympia, adapted the screenplay from Susan Hill’s short story of the same name and the feature is in post-production.
The pre-buy builds on previous deals between Gaga and A24 that have included Everything Everywhere All At Once,...

Nearly 30 years after she was part of the inaugural class of Screen Actors Guild Awards nominees with her supporting bid for 1994’s “True Lies,” Jamie Lee Curtis, who lost back then to Dianne Wiest (“Bullets Over Broadway”), finally has not one but two more shots at being honored by the acting guild. Her individual and ensemble notices for “Everything Everywhere All at Once” come nearly five decades into her prolific career and could lead to a record-breaking dual achievement. If the 64-year-old succeeds on both bids, she will be the oldest performer to win two SAG Awards for a single film.
Of the four women challenging Curtis in the supporting category, only Hong Chau (“The Whale”) has vied for the same prize before. She was part of the 2017 lineup for “Downsizing” but lost that race to Allison Janney. Also in the running are general first-timer Kerry Condon (“The Banshees of Inisherin...

Throughout her acting career, which began two dozen years ago when she was 16, Kerry Condon has appeared in several Screen Actors Guild Award-nominated films and TV series, including “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” (2017) and “Better Call Saul.” However, she went unrecognized by the acting guild until this year, when she became both a supporting and ensemble nominee for “The Banshees of Inisherin.” If she succeeds on her solo bid, she will be the third woman in a row and fifth in the last decade to conquer the category on her first general SAG Awards outing.
Condon stands as the only total SAG Awards newcomer in this year’s film supporting actress lineup. “Everything Everywhere All at Once” star Stephanie Hsu is a past TV ensemble winner for “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” and her co-star Jamie Lee Curtis and has been recognized in this category once before (for 1994’s “True Lies...
