Actors and theater industry notables are submitting tributes to celebrate the life of longtime theater and film producer William “Bill” Kenwright, who died Monday following surgery to remove a cancerous tumor from his liver back in August.
Kenwright is best known as one of the longest standing theater, TV and film producers, including being the force behind long-running West End musical “Blood Brothers.” He began as an actor, appearing in British soap opera “Coronation Street.” On top of his work in theater, he also served as a BBC Radio 2 presenter and as chairman of the Everton Football Club for nearly two decades.
“Like many grateful actors I am in debt to Bill Kenwright for employment,” “Lord of the Rings” star and theater legend Sir Ian McKellen shared on X (formerly Twitter). “We were young together, when he was in ‘Coronation Street’ and I was dipping a toe into Shaftesbury Avenue.

The Masked Singer is back, with fans tuning in every Saturday night to try to guess which celebrity is behind each costume.
Comedian Joel Dommett has returned to host proceedings, with 13 mystery stars singing familiar songs on stage, while dressed up in an outfit obscuring their identity.
Guessing along with the in-studio audience and the viewers at home are the judges: Mo Gilligan, Davina McCall, Rita Ora and Jonathan Ross.
One way to help narrow things down is checking out who’s been on the series before – as it seems unlikely they’d return to the show (although not impossible).
So here’s a full list of who appeared on seasons one, two, three and four…
Season one
Winner: Nicola Roberts – Queen Bee
Jason Manford – Hedgehog
Katherine Jenkins – Octopus
CeeLo Green – Monster
Denise van Outen – Fox
Jake Shears – Unicorn
Skin – Duck
Kelis – Daisy
Teddy Sheringham – Tree

Russell T Davies has shared his shock after Liz Truss appeared at the Tory party conference wearing the same dress as Emma Thompson’s character from Years and Years.
Thompson starred in Davies’ dystopian drama as Vivienne Rook, a populist politician and leader of the right-wing Four Star party who becomes the UK’s prime minister.
In order to deal with population increase in the show, Vivienne proposes the introduction of concentration camps, known as “Erstwhile sites”.
As she makes these plans, Thompson is seen wearing Karen Millen’s “Forever Dress”, which features lightly puffed sleeves and an inward collar.
However, eagle-eyed Twitter users pointed out that Truss appeared to be wearing the same dress during her speech at the Tory party conference on Wednesday (5 October).
The prime minister has previously worn the dress at an event in 2019.

A long time ago, Meat Loaf would do anything to get his idea for a relationship game show off the ground, but now it’s finally happening.
The iconic rock star is set to executive produce a show called “I’d Do Anything for Love…But I Won’t Do That,” which is based on his 1993 hit ballad of the same name and is currently being shopped around to networks in the U.S., the U.K. and Australia.
During the ITV Studios Formats Festival, Meat Loaf appeared briefly via video to pitch the wacky format as part relationship show, part rock concert, and to reveal jokingly that the concept behind it even pre-dates the song.
“27 and a half years ago, I had an idea for a game show called ‘I Would Do Anything for Love…But I Won’t Do That.’ Now this game show was a relationship competition with a rock concert,...

UK factual specialist Zinc Media Group has completed a £4m ($5.2M) fund raise to help fuel growth. The funds were conditionally raised in a fundraising round in the City which closed on 27 October.
The new investment, raised through a new share issue and conditional on a green-light at an upcoming Agm, is aimed at driving growth in 2021 and follows a previous round which the company says attracted £3.5m of new funds in January this year.
According to the group, the January funding allowed the firm to invest in several senior creative appointments; launch a new Branded Content division, headed by Dominic de Terville, launch a new factual entertainment and formats label Red Sauce, headed by Tom Edwards; build a new post production facility; move its London operations to a new office; and strengthen its corporate infrastructure. The group announced back in September that it would also explore targeted M&a.

The BBC has commissioned Crystal Maze-meets-Ninja Warrior-style primetime gameshow First and Last, as first revealed by Deadline.
British comedian Jason Manford is to host the comedy game show from Endemol Shine’s Zeppotron.
The six-part series will air on BBC One. Deadline broke the news that the British public broadcaster was developing a UK version, with local productions also being worked up in Brazil, China, Italy and Ukraine.
The show puts contestants through a succession of ingenious rounds, all of which have one golden rule – players mustn’t come first or last in any game. If they do, they will be eliminated. Eleven players start each show and compete across a range of downright daft, stupidly funny, play-along-at-home games that will see one of them leave with a cash prize of up to £10,000. To win, they’ll need to judge every round to perfection and hold their nerve in the nail-biting endgame.

Channel 4 has decided not to bring back The Singer Takes It All for a second series, according to Broadcast.
Alan Carr's singing contest with a difference failed to bring in big ratings for the channel when it first aired last summer.
The four-part series allowed viewers to vote in real-time for their favourite performers via an app.
Those who impressed the most were moved to a 'Gold Zone', and the contestant who stayed there the longest won a £15,000 cash prize.
Singer Steve Dorsett won three of the four shows, as well as total earnings of £42,600.
Paddy McGuinness, Rizzle Kicks, Pixie Lott and Jason Manford were among the celebrity guests during the series, while former X Factor singer Brenda Edwards appeared as a giant set of lips which commentated each episode.
The show had a consolidated audience of around 1.1 million, while its finale was seen by just over 800,000.

Jason Manford has backed the BBC's decision to ban all-male panel shows.
The comedian described the move as "brilliant", but questioned the broadcaster's decision to make the ruling public knowledge.
He told the Radio Times: "I just don't think they should have said it out loud. Why say it? Just do it.
"By saying it, you're undermining the female on the panel show because now she's thinking, 'Am I here because I'm funny or because they needed one?'"
The BBC's Director of Television, Danny Cohen, announced the change in February 2014, prompting criticism from Mock the Week host Dara Ó Briain.
Manford added: "Me and my brother have got some comedy clubs and we always make sure there's a female either on the bill or a female Mc, because it just makes blokes act differently.
"When I see a female act who's totally nailing it, I think, 'Well, she's worked...

Jason Manford has said that he finds it baffling how offended people can get by jokes online and on TV, arguing that the best way to deal with people who decide to get offended is "ignore them".
The comedian also spoke about how he "massively" prefers the freedom of performing stand-up shows, compared to the restrictions he had during his time as a BBC presenter on The One Show.
Jason Manford fans spam Amazon reviews with 'poo my pants' gag
On the subject of people complaining about jokes, Manford told Digital Spy: "As a comic, I'm not near the edge, I'm happy in the middle. So it doesn't really concern me.
"But it is interesting online, what happens. You do a gag on there and people can get ridiculously offended by it. They've decided to get offended by it. You've just got to let those people be those people. Ignore them.
