List of Old School Anime that got remastered

by gourd1990 | created - 19 Mar 2020 | updated - 11 Jun 2021 | Public

"they don't make them like that any more"

If that's what you think about Anime you are kinda right. A lot of things have changed over the years in the Anime industry. Whether its the way they create the Animation, the economics behind it, the audience that consumes it and etc... And as a result in a lot of aspects(Art Style, Music, General Vibe) the Anime of today is different from what it used to be. Just look at Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super. Even if you disregard the fact that DBZ is just the superior anime out of the two, for the most part DBZ has that "Old School" element to it that DBS clearly lacks for us old school fans. Same for HxH, while its debatable which adaption is better, a lot of people love the old HxH because of the "Old School" Anime vibe(1999 Kurapika Theme summarizes that "vibe" I am talking about). The thing is however, old anime has one huge downside to it and that's the resolution. As much as I enjoyed the 1999 HxH watching it on my 4K 55' TV wasn't the smoothest experience ever and there is really nothing we can do about it when watching SD content on big monitors. Fortunately though over the last decade plenty of popular Old School Anime have gotten remastered to HD/Full HD resolution(usually 1440*1080 Same as Full HD but with 4:3 aspect ratio) So we can enjoy both the "Old School" vibe of Old Anime combined with a lot of pixels!!! Since this remastering process is not free only the more popular Anime's that justify the remastering cost by selling Blu-rays are getting remastered but even then we are talking about plenty of titles as of today.

In this list I am trying to list all these old Anime's available in High Resolution. Enjoy!!!
