Seventeen years after the original, and four years since the last film in the franchise, Evil Bong 777, Evil Bong 888: Infinity High brings the saga of EeBee to a close. At least that’s what director and Full Moon head honcho, Charles Band is saying now, but as we all knew, he’s never met a sequel he didn’t like.
Rabbit has finally decided to turn over a new leaf and become a legit businessman, a restaurateur to be precise. While his first day in business doesn’t bring him much business it does bring him a Maître d’, or Maître Double d’ as he puts it, Thomasina “Tom” Atkins.
But there are also problems...

With so many streaming services to choose from, it can often be difficult to find the right one to spend your hard-earned dough on. That being said, Hulu has remained among the most exciting and content-heavy platforms alongside Netflix, really cementing itself as one of the most appealing options out there in recent years thanks to its collection of original content and very, very deep library of licensed films.
Like every other streaming service, they bring us new titles every month and July is looking to be quite a good one. Especially if you’re a horror fan. Admittedly, Hulu has always been pretty reliable when it comes to this particular genre, and that’s a reputation they seem intent to keep, as next month will bring us the likes of The Devil’s Rejects, Freddy vs. Jason, Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare, House of 1000 Corpses, The Ninth Gate, The House That Jack Built...

Perhaps the most exciting piece of content coming to Hulu in July 2020 is…a movie? Remember those? You would buy a ticket and then go sit in a dark room with other people eating Buncha Crunch. Sounds wild!
Yes, more and more feature films are turning to streaming services for their summer releases. And with their list of new offerings for July 2020, Hulu got itself a big fish. Palm Springs is a Groundhog Day-style comedy starring Andy Samberg and Cristin Milioti as star-crossed lovers forced to live the same day over and over again. It premieres on Hulu on July 10.
And that’s not the only original movie coming to Hulu in July. Romanian crime thriller The Whistlers premieres on July 2. Sasheer Zamata comedy The Weekend follows on July 15. Then Hulu caps the month off with the Julia Garner-starring The Assistant on July 20. There’s good movie news...

With so many streaming services available now, it can often be hard to pick the right one to spend your hard-earned money on. However, Hulu has remained among the most successful and content-heavy platforms alongside Netflix and has only gotten better with age. Whereas it had very few worthwhile movies years ago, now it often has some of the best films you can find to watch, and they’re offered up alongside brand new episodes of shows from various major networks. Like every other streaming service, Hulu updates their content throughout each month, and July is looking to add quite a lot of good stuff.

As far as “unsolved mystery” horror films go, The Axe Murders Of Villisca is nothing more than generic at best. Why prey on such a famed case in – wait, let’s rewind quick. Are you even aware of this tragic Iowa slaughterfest? Let’s revisit June 9th, 1912. According to legend, a family was brutally murdered at night by a axe-wielding maniac who was never arrested. One by one, the Moore family was beaten to death – some with the axe’s bluntest side, others hacked and slashed. A traveling Presbyterian minister confessed to the murders, claiming he heard windmills in his head before blacking out – but no convictions were made, and the deed went unpunished.

There are a few details available for the horror feature Villisca. Based on the Moore murders, several teenagers break into an early 20th Century crime scene. Here, they hope to solve a tragedy, that occurred over a hundred years ago. The film, from director Tony E. Valenzuela, recently had a showing at the Los Angeles Film Festival. While a North American release has not been released, there are a couple of stills from the film, available here. The Moore murders involved a random attack. In 1912, eight people were killed by trespassers. The killers hid in the attic, until everyone returned home from church. The results of the attack were truly horrifying. Now, three outcasts will break into this farmhouse and search for clues, to the family's death. But, something unimaginable lays beneath the floorboards. At least four stills have been released for the film. Two can be found here. One...

For those of you in the southern California area, the 2016 Laff runs through Thursday, June 9th and is calling the ArcLight Culver City Cinema home this year. Here’s a look at what we’re anticipating once the Laff begins later this week, and for more information on the festival, please visit:

Full disclosure: Abattoir was edited by my significant other, so I am certainly biased, but my enthusiasm for the film comes from my excitement to see Bousman return to the hardboiled world of horror after working on The Devil’s Carnival musicals and his comedy-infused segment in last year’s Tales of Halloween anthology.
