A New O.J. Movie Stars the Controversial Charlotte Kirk (But Definitely Not Owen Wilson)
Hey, Hollywood, anybody interested in a partially finished film about how O.J. Simpson might have been innocent? One that stars Charlotte Kirk — the English actress best known for her previous role in taking down moguls Kevin Tsujihara and Ron Meyer in a 2019 sex scandal — as Nicole Brown Simpson? If yes, this is your lucky day. According to British director Joshua Newton, about 30 minutes of The Juice (originally titled Nicole and O.J.) is in the can, mostly flashback scenes featuring Kirk and German-born actor Boris Kodjoe, currently on ABC’s Station 19, who plays the late NFL star turned acquitted murderer. Newton, who has been working on this “satirical thriller” since 2015, says the picture’s main plotline involves a real-life attorney named Douglas McCann who got sucked into various conspiracy theories during Simpson’s 1995 criminal trial.

Writer/director Parker Finn’s sequel to his 2022 horror film Smile is aiming for an October 18th theatrical release date – and with that date just six months away, Paramount decided to start building the hype for Smile 2 during their panel at CinemaCon today. They showed a teaser trailer to the people who attended their panel, and in the audience was JoBlo’s own Lance Vlcek!
Lance describes what he saw in this teaser: “Story appears to be set around a Taylor Swift type of mega-star artist (Naomi Scott) who gets sucked into the curse of Smile. The sequel has a bigger budget and slicker look, seems to be bigger in scope. There was a very cool scene where a crowd of people under control of the entity are in a tight backstage hallway chasing Naomi Scott, all of the smiling in that creepy way. Plot-wise, it doesn’t give much away.

Terrence Howard, best known for his roles in popular flicks such as Iron Man and Hustle & Flow, recently spoke out about his alleged mistreatment and underpayment in Hollywood. However, it appears that many viewers were distracted by something else.
This time, it is not because of his acting abilities or charming smile. Well, all the focus was on his hair while he discussed his legal dispute with the Creative Artists Agency (CAA). In an in-depth interview on Straight Talk with Daphne Phaneđ, Howard, 55, talked about his lawsuit and his allegations that he was underpaid while he was a cast member of the Fox series Empire.

But his distinctive hairstyle drew more attention, with one fan even remarking that the Chicago-born actor resembles one of the original “Charlie’s Angels”. It appears that viewers can’t get enough of them.

One or more individuals have been fraudulently posing as officials from “The Drew Barrymore Show” in attempts to scam talent and other guests involved with the star’s talk show, Variety can report exclusively.
The ruse, which did not originate from the syndicated series or its producer CBS Media Ventures and Paramount Global, has been flaunting “paid opportunities” for prospective guests and attempting to arrange social media efforts like Facebook broadcasts. According to three sources, some vendors of the show have been solicited for invoices, which included requests for personal banking information. The issue was escalated to legal affairs and the It department at corporate parent Paramount Global in recent days.
The talent booking team at “The Drew Barrymore Show” began notifying celebrity representatives across the industry about the matter on Friday.

Jem Hussain-Adams left Survivor 46 with an Immunity Idol in her pocket, failing to see a blindside coming from her tribe.
After returning to the real world, Jem has been blindsided by social media users lashing out at Survivor 46 cast members. Especially those people who voted her out.
One tribe was setting records in Fiji, with the Yanu Tribe going the longest without a flint.
Jem’s tribe made it the longest intact, taking all six members to the Day 11 Tribal Council.
But a plot had been hatched to eliminate Jem, and she was voted out 4-2 with a secret Immunity Idol still in her possession.
It left Jem one episode short of making it to the “earn the merge” portion of the season.

Every pop star gets his own special power in this delightfully goofy Hong Kong action caper
Make no mistake, this caper-heist comedy from Hong Kong, starring all 12 members of the Cantopop outfit Mirror, is pure nonsense, but deliciously so. Presumably intended to tickle the fancy of Mirror’s many fans all over the world, even viewers who’ve never heard of this massive-selling pop group might be amused by the sheer silliness and unintentional campness of it all. As a plus, it’s practically a lookbook for a number of current menswear fashion brands.
The main conceit is that the lads are all members of a secret crime-busting fraternity called the League of Kaito who apparently, per the subtitles: “Hustle in hush, make everyone’s life better.” Which is nice. They are dispatched on missions by an unseen boss, sort of like Charlie’s Angels but with more tracksuits and (fractionally) less eyeliner.

Kristen Stewart, star of Love Lies Bleeding, wasn’t too happy with 2020’s Happiest Season, which is widely deemed the first lesbian Christmas rom-com produced by an eminent Hollywood studio. With openly out Clea DuVall as its director and Stewart as a starring talent attached to it, the outing was deemed a benchmark in the history of mainstream queer Hollywood films.

Looking back on the film now, though, the Twilight star wasn’t pleased with the innumerable ‘notes’ she was given by studio executives, which frustrated her to no end. This inundation boiled down to her hair and get-up in the endeavor. She also empathized with DuVall, who had the patience to keep up with the top brass feedback.
The actress chalked it up to their attempt at sanitizing or, in her words, ‘shrouding’ elements to make its appeal broader and easy to digest. And while...

Jeff Daniels contemplates life and death in a teaser trailer and first-look images for A Man in Full
“When you die, will people notice,” Charlie Croker (Jeff Daniels) asks in Netflix‘s teaser trailer for the upcoming limited series A Man in Full. The question is as old as time and something people often ask themselves when contemplating a swift exit from this mortal coil. What would prompt a real estate mogul to have such macabre thoughts? His bankruptcy and inevitable downfall, of course.
Here’s the official synopsis for A Man in Full courtesy of Netflix:
When Atlanta real estate mogul Charlie Croker faces sudden bankruptcy, political and business interests collide as Charlie defends his empire from those attempting to capitalize on his fall from grace.
A Man in Full is based on the New York Times best-selling novel by the late Tom Wolfe, who died of an infection in Manhattan in 2018. The six-episode limited series hails from David E. Kelley Productions and Royal Ties Productions Inc.

Ever since Kristen Stewart came out as gay in an SNL monologue, homophobes have been unnecessarily agitated by her. Thereafter, Stewart has often been used as evidence to claim that youngsters are being “groomed” into adopting s*xual and gender identities that do not coincide with heteronormative standards. Even recently, her new photoshoot with Rolling Stone, which played with masculine-coded fashion, was targeted and criticized.

Appearing on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert to discuss her new movie Love Lies Bleeding, Stewart purposefully stood by her photoshoot while sending out a simple “f*ck you” message to her haters.

From December through February, we followed the progress as writer/director Parker Finn assembled the cast for a sequel to his 2022 horror film Smile (read our review Here, watch the movie Here) – a project we’re referring to as Smile 2 until we hear otherwise. The cast includes Naomi Scott of Aladdin and Charlie’s Angels, Lukas Gage of The White Lotus and You, Rosemarie DeWitt of La La Land and the Poltergeist remake, Dylan Gelula of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Dream Scenario, Raúl Castillo of Army of the Dead and Knives Out, Miles Gutierrez-Riley of The Wilds and On The Come Up, and Kyle Gallner (Red State), reprising the role he played in the first movie. The film is aiming for an October 18, 2024 theatrical release date, so we knew it had to be going to production soon, if it wasn’t already filming – and now Gage has confirmed that production is already underway.

The VR market is flooded with interactive puzzle adventures, and The Pirate Queen: A Forgotten Legend adds to the ever growing list of games in the genre. Not only are players seeing more escape room style gameplay every day in the virtual space, there appears to be a trend towards pirate-based stories. The most memorable of these titles being the recent release of Skull and Bones, which has seen a somewhat mediocre reception.
The Pirate Queen, taking aspects from the two aforementioned genres, puts it in a situation where the bar is set fairly high. While not every pirate story or puzzle game is successful, there are so many titles in the space that it becomes very difficult to create something unique and refreshing.

The Iron Man saga has had some of the most iconic villains throughout its run, one of which included the fan-favorite, Sam Rockwell. For one who played the ancillary villain, Justin Hammer, in the second installment of the film series, the then-40-year-old actor did an absolutely remarkable job at intimidating the audiences.
Sam Rockwell as Justin Hammer in Iron Man 2
But as intimidating as he seemed in the 2010 film, Rockwell seems quite the opposite in a recent video that has been going viral on the internet. The video is basically a compilation of some of the now-55-year-old actor’s more goofy moments, which has led to one sudden epiphany hitting fans: Rockwell would have been the perfect Deadpool of the ’90s!

Despite the open disdain expressed by lead stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, The Twilight Saga is embarking on a new show. The news could come as a bit of a shock to viewers who remember Pattinson openly roasting the series every chance he got and Stewart making every effort to distance herself from Bella Swan’s image.
Both actors have made a concerted effort to move away from the $3.3 billion blockbuster franchise that made them household names. Pattinson has ventured into more complex, edgier roles in mainstream films (Tenet), while Stewart has also made her name in challenging roles (Still Alice) in indie projects as well.
Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson in Twilight
So, despite the cast’s dislike for the franchise, Twilight is getting a new show? It could be a case of nostalgia, or the makers see the potential for expanding the Twilight universe beyond the original films.

Amazon Prime Video is releasing a remake of the '80s classic "Road House" this year, one that will star Jake Gyllenhaal in the lead role (stepping in for the late Patrick Swayze). Director Doug Liman's new take on the film will be changing things up in several ways. For one, Gyllenhaal's version of Dalton will be an ex-UFC fighter. Whether or not he does any throat-ripping remains to be seen. But it sounds like the filmmakers really upped the ante in the action department as well. How so? By implementing, er, very fancy, high-tech pillow fights.

But how many of her titles remain classics? Let’s take a look back at 15 of her greatest films, ranked worst to best.
Barrymore was born to a celebrated acting family though she never really knew her famous ancestors. Her grandfather was John Barrymore, star of “Grand Hotel”, “Twentieth Century” and “Dinner at Eight” among others. Kristen Stewart has brought in a revolution in Hollywood. She has never been the one to go by the books. By the looks of it, she has been doing alright so far. Although she was a bit worried about being labeled an outcast in the industry in the beginning, she has let go of those reservations for good and is basically thriving.
When Kristen Stewart got involved in the infamous scandal with the director of a movie while in a relationship with Robert Pattinson, people thought it was the end of her career. Then she opened up about her sexuality, and people once again thought it was over for her. However, she has proved them wrong again and again. This is going to stun anyone who grew up on 21st century superhero cinema (which kicked off in 2000 with Bryan Singer's "X-Men" and only now seems to be on the wane), but what if I told you that in the 1970s, there were television series dedicated to the Hulk, Wonder Woman, and Spider-Man, and they weren't the main small-screen pop cultural obsessions for sci-fi/fantasy fans? Not even close.

In the middle of their conversation, a man attempted to come up on stage and talk to Drew before security stepped in. As soon as he approached, Reneé swiftly stood up and led Drew away from the situation.

When it comes to Charlie’s Angels, Kristen Stewart isn’t shy about letting her feelings be known — she hated making it.
While taking part in Variety’s Know Your Lines, Kristen Stewart got a dialogue prompt from the opening scene of the Charlie’s Angels reboot: “Did you know that it takes men an additional seven seconds to perceive a woman as a threat compared to a man?“
“This was a mouthful at the time,” Stewart said. “I remember saying that. That was from a little film called Charlie’s Angels. We wanted a strong opener, you know? We wanted to really like broadcast what the movie was about. It was a good idea at the time. I hated making that movie. I don’t know what else to say to you.” However, Stewart is a fan of the original Charlie’s Angels movie starring Cameron Diaz, Lucy Liu, and Drew Barrymore. “Honestly,...

We’ve seen a couple casting announcements for writer/director Parker Finn’s sequel to his 2022 horror film Smile (read our review Here, watch the movie Here), which is aiming for an October 18, 2024 theatrical release date. Last month, it was announced that Naomi Scott of Aladdin and Charlie’s Angels has been cast in Smile 2, and yesterday we learned that Lukas Gage of The White Lotus and You is in the cast as well… and when seeing those announcements, I could only wonder, “Where is Kyle Gallner?” A genre regular, Gallner had a role in Smile, and his character made it through the whole movie. So why wasn’t his presence in Smile 2 being confirmed? Well, thankfully, now it has. The Wrap reports that Gallner will be reprising the role of police detective Joel in the film. Also joining the cast is Rosemarie DeWitt, whose previous credits include La La Land...

Kristen Stewart has become one of our most celebrated actors. It's an admittedly surprising outcome, given that her big break came in the YA blockbuster "Twilight." Ever since that saga ended though, Stewart has been very picky about the blockbuster films she's taken part in. In 2019, she decided to have a bite at that apple once more with "Charlie's Angels." The movie didn't perform particularly well at the time -- and now, Stewart has revealed that she did not enjoy making the reboot either.
Variety recently sat down with Stewart in honor of her upcoming film "Love Lies Bleeding," which made /Film's most anticipated movies of 2024. During the sit-down, Steward was fed lines from her career and at one point one from "Charlie's Angels" came up in the form of, "Did you know that it takes men an additional seven seconds to perceive a woman as a threat compared to a man?...
