Exclusive Interview with filmmaker Robert Rodriguez

Robert Rodriguez interview

Movie director Robert Rodriguez is one of our favourites. His resume includes DesperadoSin City, The FacultySpy Kids, From Dusk Till Dawn, Planet Terror and Machete, and eclectic range of genre films that all hit the right spot.

Rodriguez is somewhat of a maverick film director. He’s not one to play by the expected rules of the movie world, be that in what he puts on the screen or how he interacts with his peers. During his career he has left both the screen writers and directors guild in favour of blazing his own path. His latest venture has been to create his own television network ‘El Rey’ which caters to a Latin American audience.

He used the platform to bring back a project from his past From Dusk Till Dawn; the film starred George Clooney and Quentin Tarantino as brothers and criminal Seth and Richard Gecko. »

3 May 2016 1:45 PM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

In just three short days, Captain America: Civil War will hit theaters nationwide, which is expected to open huge at the box office this weekend. This superhero adventure kicks off Marvel's expansive Phase 3 slate, by splitting this universe in half, with heroes going into battle against each other. Today we have two new clips, each of which showcases members of both sides, Team Cap and Team Iron Man, with brand new footage.

The first clip, courtesy of Marvel.com, features an extended look at an intriguing scene we've seen in the trailers, where Captain America (Chris Evans) uses his incredible strength to stop a helicopter from taking off. However, we never saw who was piloting this aircraft. Now, we can see clearly that it's The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) at the controls. Unfortunately, we don't get any context about why Cap is trying to stop Bucky from taking off, or »

With exactly one week left until Marvel's Captain America: Civil War hits theaters, anticipation is higher than ever for this superhero adventure, which kicks off the studio's Phase 3 slate. Over the past few days, the studio has brought back Leslie Bibb as journalist Christine Everhart for a series of viral videos, that have examined the cost of The Avengers' heroic deeds, and who should pay for all of the damage they cause. Today we have yet another viral video, which teases that the Commander-in-Chief himself, in the McU, gave these heroes a shout-out.

In 2013's Iron Man 3, President Ellis (William Sadler) was saved by both Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and War Machine (Don Cheadle), so it should be no surprise that he is pro-Avengers. Watch: First Trailer for Kieran Darcy-Smith's New Western 'The Duel'

28 April 2016 11:09 AM, PDT | firstshowing.net | See recent FirstShowing.net news »

"You have no idea what's going on here!" Lionsgate Premiere has debuted a trailer for a film called The Duel, formerly known as By Way of Helena, a western about a Texas Ranger who takes on an oppressive, violent preacher watching over a town. Liam Hemsworth plays the Ranger, and Woody Harrelson plays the evil pastor, and the two end up in a kind of standoff in this small town. The full cast includes Emory Cohen, William Hurt, Alice Braga, William Sadler, Benedict Samuel & Raphael Sbarge. This looks solid, but they do give away a big plot point in the trailer. Western fans might want to take a look. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for Kieran Darcy-Smith's The Duel, originally from EW.com: In the Great Plains during 1880s, Texas Ranger David Kingston is sent to an Old West frontier town Helena to investigate a series of murders and disappearances of local people. »

After starring in all four Hunger Games movies together, as Gale and Haymitch, Liam Hemsworth and Woody Harrelson are reuniting for a much different movie entitled The Duel. In the beloved Hunger Games franchise, both Gale and Haymitch were on the same side, as they fought to take down an evil tyrant, but The Duel pits these actors against each other, as you can see in the first trailer. Lionsgate Premiere has set a June 24 release date for The Duel, which puts it up against 20th Century Fox's Independence Day: Resurgence, Stx's Free State of Jones and Sony's The Shallows.

Coulson And The Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Bounce Back In First Promos For Midseason Premiere

As Agent Carter winds down, the midseason premiere of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is set to give fans glimpses into “a new world order,” following the events of last year’s finale. In the episode “Bouncing Back,” Coulson becomes more determined than ever to end Gideon Malick and Hydra once and for all.

To do that, it seems that the long-teased Secret Warriors might finally become an organized team to face Hydra, not to mention the rising threat of a possibly evil group of Inhumans. And let’s not forget that S.H.I.E.L.D. has the looming danger of Ward hanging over their heads, who has been confirmed as Secret Warriors villain Hive.

The Absorbing Man Might Be A Good Guy When He Returns To Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

18 February 2016 2:17 PM, PST | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Fans eager for the March 8 return of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. have a new hint as to the threats (or potential support) surrounding the team in the last half of this season’s run of episodes. The Absorbing Man, aka Carl “Crusher” Creel (Brian Patrick Wade) will be making a return to the show in 2016.

Creel was last seen in the second season fighting against all of our favorite agents, but a new hint this time around means he may be switching loyalties this year. It will apparently be “unclear if he will be a friend or foe to the S.H.I.E.L.D. team.” When he first fought S.H.I.E.L.D. (or its remnants), Creel was an agent of Hydra that eventually met his fate incarcerated and handed over to General Talbot (Adrian Pasdar).

In the mid-season premiere, Coulson and the team are »
