Grande Dame Guignol cinema also referred to as hagsploitation, hag horror and Psycho-biddy is a subgenre of horror/thriller movies that features a formerly-glamorous older woman who has become mentally unbalanced and terrorizes those around her. The genre officially began in 1962 with the film What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? and lasted through its heyday of the 1960s, 1970s and beyond
