Prime Video has given a series order to Butterfly, from Daniel Dae Kim’s 3Ad and Boom! Studios, publisher of the graphic novel of the same name created by Arash Amel. Written by Nina Colman (“Mahogany”), the drama is set in 1986 New York City and chronicles the rise of an ambitious bi-racial 16-year-old girl, an aspiring singer-songwriter who survived a difficult childhood to become the biggest selling female music artist of all time.

Sonic's reboot with Sonic Boom didn't exactly win over the fans, but that's not stopping Sega from releasing an all new title for Nintendo's handheld system later this year. Come inside to learn more about Fire & Ice, plus watch it's E3 2015 trailer.
E3 is right around the corner, and game developers are starting to share more and more of their plans for the event with the rest of the world. Thus, Sega has revealed an all new Sonic game for the 3Ds called Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice. It's a follow-up to the previous Sonic Boom game which also follows along with the new cartoon series on air. Jim Carrey is in early talks to star in the indie thriller “True Crimes,” which is based on a 2008 New Yorker article by David Grann, multiple individuals familiar with the project have told TheWrap. Alexandros Avranas (“Miss Violence”) will direct the movie, which follows a murder investigation that turns to clues found in an author’s book about an eerily similar crime. Hot of the heels of the news he's teaming with Mariah Carey for a Christmas movie, filmmaker Brett Ratner and his RatPac Entertainment are teaming with Warner Bros. Pictures for a film version of Ben Mezrich's upcoming book "Once Upon a Time in Russia".
The upcoming work centers on Russian billionaires Boris Berezovsky and Roman Abramovich. The former made his fortune privatising Government property in the 1990s, teaming with his protege Abramovich on various hugely profitable investments.
Ratner reportedly provided the origins of the idea for the book and pitched it to Mezrich whose previous works became the films "21" and "The Social Network". James Packer and John Cheng will executive produce.

Sega have today announced a partnership with Japanese video game developers Ecole and French Bread to bring Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax to the West for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita in 2015. Sega announced today that it will finally be bringing Yakuza 5 to North America and Europe in 2015, marking the impending end of a lengthy wait for the series’ western fans.
A direct sequel to Yakuza 4, the title once again places gamers into the shoes of Kazuma Kiryu. Now a taxi driver in the city of Fukuoka, Kiryu is joined by four additional protagonists, and once again, they will be forced to confront and deal with the seedy Yakuza underworld of Japan.
Yakuza 5 boasts the best graphics seen in the series, as Sega has greatly enhanced the detail seen in each of the five major cities that players will visit during their time in the game. The sequel also features a modified battle engine, enhanced interaction in the series’ trademark hostess bars, additional mini-games and a series of side missions that focus on each of the playable protagonists.

It would seem that Miles Teller and Michael B. Jordan really like working together. In addition to just starring together in the recently-released romantic comedy That Awkward Moment, the two young actors are reportedly frontrunners for lead roles in Josh Trank's upcoming Fantastic Four reboot, and now they are ready to work with That Awkward Moment director Tom Gormican together on a new heist film being put together at Warner Bros. Two time Academy Award winner Christoph Waltz has boarded New Line Cinema's Horrible Bosses sequel as Chris Pine's father, reports Variety. The first film's original cast of Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis, Charlie Day, Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Aniston and Kevin Spacey are returning. In the sequel, Pine's character and his father are the new horrible bosses of the main characters. Adding another highly-anticipated movie to his resume, it was announced on Monday (October 14) that Chris Pine has scored a role in "Horrible Bosses 2."
The 33-year-old Hollywood hunk is set to play one of the horrible bosses in the hysterical comedy sequel, which is set to hit theaters on November 24, 2014.
As of right now, Pine is set to join Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis, Charlie Day and Jamie Foxx in the film.
The sure-to-be-hit will be directed by Sean Anders while Brett Ratner and Jay Stern are producing with John Cheng and John Rickard executive producing.

Brett Ratner has teamed up with Poland’s Alvernia Studios to produce Magnitude 9, Agnieszka Vosloo’s updated version of Madame Butterfly.
Ratner will produce the tragic love story set against the 2011 tsunami in Japan as an ambitious Us Navy officer encounters a mysterious local girl as he prepares to return home to his fiancée in Washington.
Production is scheduled for 2014 in Japan and the producers are out to cast. RatPac Entertainment’s John Cheng and Kasia Nabialczyk and Alvernia Studios’ Anna Rozalska will oversee the project.
“Magnitude 9 is one of the more powerful scripts I’ve read in a long time,” said Ratner, currently directing and producing Hercules in Hungary for MGM and Paramount.
“It combines a great love story around a natural disaster and beautifully tells the story of the incredible lengths people will go through for love.”
