Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (1985)

We don't need another hero

I'm a huge fan of these movies. I have been ever since I saw the Road Warrior(which, I think is the best one out of the three). I really liked this thirs installment of the Mad Max films. I thought having Tina Turner star in this film was a great idea. Max and Tina had something on screen, you could tell. The ending sequence is fantastic. Not having a car scene in these films doesn't make these films. You need to have cars and crashes and that's what this film has. I liked this film becuase it showed more of how the people lived. It had a more apocaliptic tone to it. I really didn't care about the tribe part. That was a little corny and I thought that George Miller could have done without, but it still was a great movie.

American Graffiti (1973)

great musical

I have heard great things about this movie and I finally saw it and it was wonderful! The music was great and it was cool to see some of the big actors today perform in this movie. I was amazed how young they looked. This movie really showed me a montage of what life was like back then for high schoolers. Cruising was a big thing back then and music and cars were the big fad. The story line was pretty cool. It takes place all in one night and shows the lives of for guys who just finished high school. Most of it is pretty funny and I related to some of the characters. George Lucas did a wonderful job with this film. I especially loved the opening scene with the man and the scooter. I won't ruin it, but you will have to see this movie.

Men in Black II (2002)

I was real impressed with this movie. I thought it was just as funny and adventurouse as the first one. There were a couple of parts that were a little corny, but some parts left you thinking about it and wondering. I really liked the humor in this film. some parts really got me laughing. I'm glad they brought Tommy Lee Jones back becuase it would not have been the same without him. Although I thought the first one was better, I still really loved this film.

Braveheart (1995)

bloody,but wonderful

I've always dreamt of a movie that would show a graphic, bloody war sequence in the mid-eval times. My dream was brought to reality when braveheart came out. Mel Gibson did a perfect job with this film in portraing life back then in Scotland and England. The battle scenes were extremely graphic, but realistic and it needed to be that way to show how they fought back then. The love story behind the film was great also. I loved the photography. All I can say is this film did a wonderful job with everything.

Where Eagles Dare (1968)

This has got to be one of my favorite movies of all time. I love the idea of military agents going undercover and infilltrating a Nazi castle and rescue an agent. I really like Clint Eastwood and he did a great job. He does a great job in all of his action films. Burt Lancaster played a cool agent who was always in control. The action sequences were great, considering the age of the film. The dead bodies looked real.

The Others (2001)

great in the dark

First of all, I should say that I love scary films and i think that there should be more of them made. This film was both suspensful and very surprising(especially at the end.) I though the director used his lighting very well for this film and it created a more creepy setting. Also, the time was a lilttle creepy for me. That's just me though. I will not give away the ending. Let me just say that's it through me completely off guard. Enjoy!

Behind Enemy Lines (2001)

worth the wait

I have been waiting to see this movie for a while now and now I have finally seen it. I was not in the least dissapointed. I loved the action and the storyline. What made this movie so appealing to me was the fast camera work and the special effects the director had for the weapons was great. Gene Hackmen did a wonderful job and the other guy(I forgot his name) did a great job as well. I never new he did action movies. He was pretty impressive. I liked this movie also because of the simple plot. A pilot trying to survive. I give this film two thumbs up!

I Spit on Your Grave (1978)

I can see why this film was not rated. What is really horrific about this film is the rape scenes. they are the worst that I have ever seen in a movie in my life. they are so bad that I can't imagine what it was like actually filming them. this women is nude through most of the movie and her payback is worth watching this film for. I found myself feeling uneasy during the rape scenes. I wasn't not to impressed with this film. The women looks sexy though. I would not reccommend this film to anybody.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966)

Draw!!!

I absolutely love a good western. I"m also a Clint Eastwood fan. This western is a great shoot-em'-up type film with great acting. Somtimes I think that the director drags out the duels, but he does it for effect. I like the look of a good ol' western like this film brings. This film is really long, but it has a pretty darn good story. I really like the music and Clint Eastwood is the perfect cowboy. Watch this film and it will make your day.

A Beautiful Mind (2001)

Not Oscar worthy

I thought this movie was pretty darn good. I didn't think that it was oscar material and I didn't want to see this movie becuase it beat LOTR, even though LOTR made more money and it was a more popular movie. I thought the story was great and it caught me by suprise. I was watching the movie and I didn't know who was real and who wasn't. That's the part I really liked about the movie. The director gave us the experience of deciding who/what is real and who wasn't. Ron Howard is a pretty darn good director and he deserved this movie. Crowe did a fantastic job with this movie, but I agree with the oscar nomination for Denzel Washington.

Road Trip (2000)

Lame!!!!

This movie is the typical college/teen movie. Sex,nudity,sex jokes. I realy didn't think it was all that funny. Tom Green has serious issues and I only laughed at 1 part of the film with him. Other then that, the message is lame, but the plot is pretty bad. Lame movie.

The Sum of All Fears (2002)

Action packed

Even though I didn't read this novel, it was basically your typical Tom Clancy movie. I thought this movie was great. I know that they probably left a lot out from the book, but I still liked it. Some parts of the film had me expecting something to come out, but it totally surprised me in most cases. I thought it was cool to do a film on a young Jack Ryan. Great movie.

Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002)

yay for lucas!

I was simply blown away by the special effects in this movie! I loved every part of this movie and it's totally worth seeing again on the big screen. I really liked how Lucas introduced some of the backround of the characters from the first three. The Yoda fight just blew me away. They did a fantastic job with Yoda. What really blew me away was Amadala. She was absolutely gorgeous! She made the movie and I'm looking forward to her costumes in the next one. I really liked the music in this one. Wonderful film!

Murder by Death (1976)

totally funny

After watching this film, I think this is the way most good comedies should be like. This movie was so funny. The comedy is different. You have to listen what everybody is saying. It's not so much of the actions of the movie, it's the words. I thought it was hilarious and i recommend this film if you want to laugh. I don't know if clue was taken from this movie or visa versa, but I really loved this film.

The Big Bird Cage (1972)

This was the typical women prison movie. I thought the women were very sexy and the outfits were great. All the camera did was focus on the women and the women were always in provocative poses for the camera and they were always scantily dressed(which I loved). This is your basic prison/breakout movie of the 70's. All I can say about this film is that it's extremely cheesy, but the women are gorgeous and their butts are great!

The Transformers: The Movie (1986)

I just watched this movie with my buddy Chris and I was impressed with the animation in this old movie. I really love the Transformers and they are a childhood favorite for me. What I hated about this film was that the stupid director killed off most of the original Transformers. I mean, what was he thinking? He wasn't and that was the problem with this film. He killed of the classic transformers. I'm at least glad bumblebee was kept in the movie. This was a kids movie so some parts are a little cheesy, but that's what being a child is all about. Maybe they will come out with an actuall movie of the transformers? Oh well, we'll see. This cartoon was pretty cool.

The Last Castle (2001)

Impressive

This movie really though me off. I thought it was going to be a war picture. It was and it wasn't. If you haven't seen this film, I don't want to give anything away becuase I thought it was very surprising at times. I thought it was great that they put an old-time classic actor like Robert Redford in this movie. He did a wonderful job and the camera work reminded me of Saving Private Ryan. I thought this film did a wonderful job with action and the twists and turns in this movie are pretty impressive. Watch this movie.

Arthur 2: On the Rocks (1988)

Not to empressive

After seeing the first Arthur(wonderful classic comedy) I had to see the second one. I was really excited when I rented and sat down to watch it, but I was a little dissapointed. Dudley Moore tried to hard to be funny and that was the problem with the movie. That and the acting was not really at all to good. I was glad when the old butler came back momentarily. I thought the new butler was absolutely horrible becuase he did a horrible job acting. The storyline was okay, but this movie was a big dissapointment. The ending is a little too storybookish. The beginning of the movie was absolutely lame! It kind of turned me off to the rest of the movie, but I did watch it all the same. To sum it all up, I was a little disappointed!

Tron (1982)

Childhood favorite

I first saw this movie when I was in elementary school and I loved it. I then saw it again in college and I was still impressed with it. Even though it was made in the 80's the special effects are still wonderful. I loved the movie becuase of the idea of it. The idea of going into a computer is awsome and the characters compete in death/life games. The cylces are the most exciting part of the movie, but all in all this movie is a great movie for kids and adults alike.

Crazy/Beautiful (2001)

Kirsten is so sexy!

I was pretty impressed at this movie. It wasn't your typical High School movie. It went deeper into the personalities of the two actors. I liked how the director went into the character's lives and showed how they were raised differently. I really liked the scenes with her in her underwear(sorry, I really love Kirsten)! She did really well portraying a bad girl. This movie touches on many issues like interacial dating and not getting along with your parents. I would watch this movie again. It's worth the time to watch it.

Dead Poets Society (1989)

I wish I had a teacher like Robin Williams!

The first time I saw this movie, I was hooked! I loved everything about it. I loved the storyline, I loved the different sub-plots in it, and i loved the character Robin Williams played. He was funny, but mostly mellow in this one. I thought the director did a good job sending the message out. Change is okay and sometimes change is necessary. I could watch this movie many times and not get bored. The ending is wonderful and brings a tear to my eye. Please watch this movie if you get a chance.

The Shining (1980)

REDRUM!!!!!

I first saw this movie at my X's house and after that I really loved it. I was hooked. Even though the book was better I still thought the movie was fantatically eerie. I liked the thought of a family of three being a lone in this haunted hotel in the mountains and the husband goes berzerk. That was allt he more scary. I loved the blood coming out of the elevator and Jack Nicholson does a wonderful job in this film. This is on of Stanley Kubricks' best yet!

Boys Don't Cry (1999)

LAME!

This movie was absolutely horrible. That girl had serious mental problems and I don't know why anybody would make a movie like this. The director mus have been high or something to make this picture. Hillary Swank won best actress for trying to be a boy and she is brutilly raped, which is the most intense scene in the movie. I think that she only got best actress for this movie because she had to do that scene. The only thing she did good in this movie was to act like a boy. Don't waste your time watching this movie becuase you will just be depressed at the end. I give this movie a great big two thumbs down!

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984)

Emaculate Movie

This is my most favorite movie of all time! I flipped when I got it for my birthday in elementary school. I love everything about this movie. A man, woman, and a child go into the heart of a temple to get some stones and free children. This movie has so much adventure in it that I could watch this movie all day back to back. I love the fight scenes in this movie and the cart scene has got to be my favorite in the whole movie. I think this Indiana Jones movie is the best one yet in the trilogy. The idea of this movie just excites me and intrigues me. Wonderful movie!

Changing Lanes (2002)

Fast action/drama!

I really enjoyed this movie! What a wonderful concept to to have two men create havoc for each other just to get what they want and they both learn something from their actions. The director made this movie jast paced enough to where no film was wasted(I thought) and moved just right along. I really felt sympathy for both characters, even though what they were doing was wrong. Something is good in the end though. I recommend this film to anybody and maybe lawyers should watch this movie also. It's a good movie to learn from. This film was about honesty and looking at what's really important. I wonderful movie that I would see again and again and again..............etc.
