Our film kicks off with, let us say, more than a wink and a nod to the seminal horror film The Exorcist. A film that, nearly 40 years on still can shock and terrify. Exorcism at 60,000 Feet might not shock and terrify in the same way. But it is not a subtle film, in many ways. Our exorcist here really looks the part, however rather than trying to get the beast out of the possessed man, he rather reluctantly shoots him in the head. Suddenly. I am invested.
There is a bit of black humour injected into proceedings. Wait. Lance Henrikson is in this? This is shaping up...

The title character of Steven Universe is an adolescent boy who, over the course of the Cartoon Network series’ first five seasons, developed the ability to fly, to conjure an impenetrable pink shield out of thin air, to use his saliva to heal injuries short of death (and sometimes beyond), to merge his body with a friend’s (in an act called fusion) so they can become even stronger as one than they are side-by-side, and more. But his greatest power — and the reason the show became so adored that a follow-up film,...

It seems Squirrel Girl is out of her tree, at least temporarily. Although they picked up the 10-episode first season of Marvel's New Warriors TV show back in April of 2017, Freeform has now cancelled its order for the half-hour live-action superhero comedy. THR reports that since Freeform has declined to move forward with New Warriors, Marvel is shopping the series to other outlets in preparation for a 2018 release. Marvel's New Warriors centers on "...six young people learning to cope with their abilities in a world where bad guys can be as terrifying as bad dates." The last we heard, the cast includes Milana Vayntrub as Doreen Green a.k.a Squirrel Girl; Derek Theler as Craig Hollis a.k.a Mister Immortal; Jeremy Tardy as Dwayne Taylor a.k.a Night Thrasher; Calum Worthy as Robbie Baldwin a.k.a Speedball; Matthew Moy as Zack Smith...

Marvel's has been developing a series adaptation of their comic New Warriors and it was originally set to air on Freeform. That's all changed now. The series will no longer air on Freeform and according to THR, Marvel is now trying to find a new home for it.
Apparently, Freeform couldn't seem to find a slot in their schedule for next year to fit the show into. Marvel has screened the pilot episode for test audiences already and according to the report, it's testing through the roof and has caught the attention of high-level Disney executives. That's a good sign! Dan Buckley, president of Marvel Entertainment said:
"We are extremely excited about Marvel’s New Warriors and look forward to finding the perfect partner to launch the series with in 2018.

Legendary character actor Keith David has joined the cast of Marvel's upcoming series New Warriors! This will reunite David with showrunner Kevin Biegel. They worked together on the 2014 series Enlisted.
According to THR, David will take on the role of Ernest Vigman, "a caustic municipal employee who butts up against the hopeful energy of the new warriors." This will be a reoccurring role in the series. I'm such a huge fan of David and his work whose film career pretty much started with John Carpenter's The Thing.
David will join Milana Vayntrub (This Is Us) as Squirrel Girl; Derek Theler (Baby Daddy) as Mister Immortal; Jeremy Tardy (Dear White People) as Night Thrasher; Calum Worthy (Austin and Ally) as Speedball; Matthew Moy (Two Brok Girls) as Microbe; Kate Comer as Debrii.

Earlier this year Marvel and Freeform revealed that character that would be included in their upcoming New Warriors series. Today they announced the cast that would be playing those characters. I've included that list below along with their character descriptions.
Milana Vayntrub (This Is Us) will play Squirrel Girl:
Doreen Green (Squirrel Girl)
Superpower: “The powers of a squirrel, the powers of a girl” (is acrobatic, strong, can fight, can talk to squirrels) Doreen is a totally empowered fangirl. She is a natural leader—confident and tough, but not innocent. Doreen is bouncy and energetic and her greatest quality is her optimism… She has faith in others and inspires people to believe in themselves. She also takes her pet squirrel, Tippy Toe, everywhere.
Derek Theler (Baby Daddy) will play Mister Immortal:
Craig Hollis (Mister Immortal)

The Hollywood Reporter today brings word that Marvel and Freeform’s New Warriors series has filled out its cast, with Milana Vayntrub set to spearhead the ensemble as Doreen Green (Aka Squirrel Girl).
Vayntrub, best known for her work on This Is Us, will be rubbing shoulders with Derek Theler (Mister Immortal), Jeremy Tardy (Night Thrasher), Calum Worthy (Speedball), Matthew Moy (Microbe), and Kate Comer as Debrii. Airing on Monday nights, 2 Broke Girls has done well enough in the ratings for CBS to keep renewing it year after year. Now, for the first time, the network has moved it to Thursday nights. Will the show's audience follow? Will the ratings grow or will they keep falling? Cancelled or renewed for a sixth season? Stay tuned.
On 2 Broke Girls, streetwise Max Black (Kat Dennings) and formerly-wealthy Caroline Channing (Beth Behrs) work in a greasy diner. The unlikely partners try to earn enough money to pay their bills and develop their cupcake business. The sitcom co-stars Garrett Morris, Jonathan Kite, Matthew Moy, and Jennifer Coolidge.
The higher a show's ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better its chances for survival. New ratings data will be added as it becomes available -- typically around 11:30am Est/8:30am Pst. Refresh to see the latest.Read More…...

"2 Broke Girls" knows how to get its audience's attention. In addition to a high-profile appearance from Lindsay Lohan in a Season 3 episode, the show celebrated St. Patrick's Day in style with Han the Leprechaun (aka, LepreHan).
Matthew Moy, the actor behind Han, dishes on the show, his character and more in this conversation with Zap2it.
Unfortunately, Moy doesn't have much to give away when it comes to upcoming episodes. "We have no idea what to expect," he says. "They don't let us know until right before the table read."
Moy can at least offer some hints about upcoming guest stars like Lohan. "We had a really fun time with her," Moy insists. "She just visited the other day, just to say hi, which is very cool. She's just very cool!"
But Lohan isn't the only big guest star coming to "2 Broke Girls." Although Moy can't say the actor's name,...

Ross Lincoln is a Deadline contributor. Fans learned that Max Black’s mother might never make an appearance, while Garrett Morris and Jennifer Coolidge proved their improv skills haven’t been diluted by the relative comfort of a successful sitcom during tonight’s 2 Broke Girls panel on the penultimate night of PaleyFest 2013. Moderated by Christina McLarty, in addition to Morris (Earl) and Coolidge (Sophie) the panel included fellow cast members Kat Dennings (Max Black), Beth Behrs (Caroline Channing), Jonathan Kite (Oleg) and Matthew Moy (Han Lee), along with series co-creator and executive producer Michael Patrick King. Related: ‘The Big Bang Theory’ At PaleyFest: A Tease For Amy & Sheldon The discussion was breezy and played to each actor’s strengths, particularly Morris and Coolidge. Early in the evening, Morris drew big laughs when, after the heartwarming reveal that he’s in his 8th year of sobriety after having kicked a problem with cocaine,...

There is just not enough use of "Pour Some Sugar on Me" on TV nowadays. Thankfully, we've got "2 Broke Girls" to full that niche during Super Bowl Xlvii, as stars Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs go their grooves on to the definitive Def Leppard song.
Garrett Morris served as DJ as the series' New York diner was transformed into a disco. Co-stars Matthew Moy, Jonathan Kite and Jennifer Coolidge also got in on the action.
The entire promo was directed by famed photographer/director David Lachapelle, the man behind hyper-realistic aesthetics in the pages of Vogue, Vanity Fair, GQ and more. Lachapelle has also directed videos for Moby, Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez, and a special documentary for Elton John.

And to celebrate the show’s premiere, which takes place tonight on NBC (10 p.m. Et), former Freaks and Geeks actor took some time to take EW’s Pop Culture Personality Test. What we learned? Even after all these years, the actor still makes us proud to be geeks.

Playing diner owner Han Lee on the ribald 2 Broke Girls, Matthew Moy has one very memorable role on the CBS comedy. That’s mostly because the show’s creators have been criticized for making Han one big stereotype after another: The character speaks with a heavy accent, often doesn’t understand American slang and turns of phrases, and is regularly made fun of for his small stature and clueless nature.
Behind the silly role, however, is Matthew Moy, an actor who, truly, couldn’t be further from who he plays on TV. Moy is very clued into pop culture, which...

2 Broke Girls actor Matthew Moy has rejected claims that the show employs racist humour. The CBS sitcom has previously come under fire for its portrayal of foreign characters, including Moy's Han Lee - a restaurant boss who speaks in broken English. "I know that a lot of people had concerns about Han and the accent," Moy told the Los Angeles Times. "But the comedy on 2 Broke Girls always comes from a place of love - it's never mean. "We're a comedy, and we often go right to the edge. It doesn't bother me. I've encountered this all my life. I've been made fun of all my life." The actor - who is of Chinese descent - argued that the Korean accent he uses on the show is more suitable for television than a more realistic (more)...

Just a few years before landing the role of Korean diner owner Han Lee in the hit CBS sitcom "2 Broke Girls," Matthew Moy was drifting from one odd job to another, looking for a satisfying career.
"I was a Japanese and linguistics major at first, but that didn't really work out, so I had been working in a pet hospital and also worked for a spinal surgeon," the Chinese-American actor tells Zap2it. "I had been studying voice-over, and thought, 'Well, maybe I can be the next big thing in that,' and got an agent and started getting jobs."
Eventually, he made the transition to on-camera acting, although he admits that the prospect initially scared him. Among his first gigs was a recurring role during the last season of NBC's long-running "Scrubs."

As I approached Warner, it was a matter of controlled chaos. The “Ellen” fan section was the largest, most boisterous and damn, did they all look excited! I then headed toward my lengthy line, though I soon discover I hopped in the “Big Bang Theory” section by accident – the two lines had seemingly intersected like a real-life version of the cell-phone “Snake” game.
