Last year, Trick or Treat Studios released an officially licensed 1:6 scale figure of the zombie known as the Tarman from the 1985 zombie horror comedy The Return of the Living Dead (watch it Here). That figure is still available for purchase at This Link, going for the price of $159.99. Now Trick or Treat Studios is accepting pre-orders for another officially licensed The Return of the Living Dead item, one that works as a standalone display or can be used as an accessory for the Tarman figure: a 245 Trioxin barrel set! This one costs $99.99 and can be pre-ordered on the Trick or Treat Studios website.
Here’s the description of the barrel set: Trick or Treat Studios is proud to present the officially licensed, The Return of the Living Dead – 245 Trioxin Barrel Set. This set is a fun standalone and a perfect display accessory for the 1:6 scale Tarman figure. Carefully...

Almost forty years ago, writer/director Dan O’Bannon delivered one of the most highly entertaining zombie movies of all time with The Return of the Living Dead (watch it Here)… and in the process, spawned a franchise. There was the goofy comedy of The Return of the Living Dead Part II, the “Romeo and Juliet with zombies” love story Return of the Living Dead ///, and a couple sequels nobody paid much attention to, Return of the Living Dead: Necropolis and Return of the Living Dead: Rave to the Grave. The franchise has been dormant for eighteen years – but it may be revived very soon. It has come to our attention that Muck and Kill Her Goats director Steve Wolsh, who also happens to be the CEO of the company Living Dead Media, is developing a reboot of The Return of the Living Dead.

The 1985 zombie horror comedy The Return of the Living Dead (watch it Here) has some awesome poster art, featuring green-skinned zombies that are “back from the dead and ready to party”. Now the folks at Super7, a company that’s described as being “the premier pop-culture design house and producer of lifestyle-oriented collectibles, toys and apparel”, have taken to social media to reveal that they have turned a couple of those poster zombies into ReAction Figures! These figures will be available for purchase sometime this summer, but for now you can take a look at a picture of them at the bottom of this article.

The 1985 zombie horror comedy The Return of the Living Dead (watch it Here) is one of my all-time favorite movies, and every now and then I like to look up the filming locations of my favorites to see what they look like these days. By watching a Sean Clark video on the locations used to bring The Return of the Living Dead to the screen, I learned that the building that stood in for the Uneeda medical supply warehouse in the movie has been converted into a private residence. So I looked up this address – 698 Moulton Avenue in Los Angeles, California – and learned that the Uneeda-building-turned-private-residence is now on the market! The property is listed on Zillow, with plenty of pictures showing off what the place looks like now that it’s a home with three bedrooms, four bathrooms, and a private pool. And if any die hard fan of...

As genre fans, we are truly lucky to be living in a day and age where we can enjoy a variety of incredible film projects that celebrate nearly every aspect that we love about horror. Sometimes, these documentaries are focused on a specific film or a franchise, sometimes they hone in on one director or actor in particular. But with Horror Noire: A History of Black Horror, director Xavier Burgin has crafted an 83-minute journey spanning over an entire century of filmmaking that not only celebrates the milestones, but also holds Hollywood and society as a whole responsible for how black culture has been represented in cinema, as well as lauding the achievements of black creatives who have helped pave the way for future generations throughout their careers.

Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning (1985)
Written by: Martin Kitrosser, David Cohen, Danny Steinmann
Directed by: Danny Steinmann
Cast: Shavar Ross (Reggie), Melanie Kinnaman (Pam), John Shepherd (Tommy Jarvis), Richard Young (Matt), Debisue Voorhees (Tina), John Robert Dixon (Eddie), Juliette Cummins (Robin), Jerry Pavlon (Jake), Dominick Brascia (Joey), Tiffany Helm (Violet), Mark Venturini (Vic), Miguel A. Nunez Jr. (Demon)
This film was the very first one that I wrote any kind review for on an online platform. That was the first brave step in my cause for championing this film. Albeit, it was a small step, because maybe two people probably stumbled across it. Either way, I did it and I’m not ashamed. Matter of fact, I’m taking it to the big show by including it here. All of my feelings for this bastard child of the series just happened to resurface...

No, I’m not thinking Doubtfire vs. Madea. Technically that would involve a man fighting a woman, as Mrs. Euphegenia Doubtfire is Robin Williams playing a male character who dresses as an old lady while Mabel “Madea” Simmons is just Tyler Perry playing an old lady. It doesn’t sound like a fair battle. Obviously Madea would kick the fake nanny’s ass. But the synopsis I have in mind is similar for this Mrs. Doubtfire sequel that Fox 2000 has just announced with original director Chris Columbus and Williams both on board. It has to be an Expendables type movie, which means it’s not just Doubtfire 2 but an ensemble piece in which Williams as Daniel Hillard as Doubtfire is joined by Dustin Hoffman as Michael Dorsey as Tootsie, Martin Lawrence as Malcolm Turner as “Big Momma,” David Cross as Tobias Funke as Mrs. Featherbottom, Miguel A. Nunez Jr. as Jamal Jeffries as Juwanna Mann, Harland Williams...

Well my dear Friends. TV One has decided Not 2 pick up Belles the best show & cast they ever had. I am in shock. But it will be back. The above is a tweet from co-star of the series, Miguel Núñez. So I suppose that's it then for TV One's latest original scripted series, Belle’s - a comedy centered around a widower who owns and operates his family's upscale soul food restaurant. The half-hour series was co-created by Emmy Award-winning producer Ed Weinberger (Taxi, The Cosby Show). Keith David, Elise Neal, Tami Roman, Ella Joyce and Nadja Alaya, made up the series' starring cast. The...

After a very quiet post-Labor Day weekend for new movies, where Resident Evil: Afterlife (review) was the only major film released widely (and owned the box office), this week's new horror DVD titles aren't aplenty either.
But we do have television shows from the recent season and re-releases of older titles all trying to chase the Blu(-ray) dollar.
Fringe: The Complete Second Season
Directed by Various
While "Fringe" is not strictly horror per se, the sense of fear and suspense that greets us week after week should qualify for some mention. They have enough quality freaks of the week and bloodshed to satisfy the fiends in us. This is the acting job that Leonard Nimoy is retiring from! "Fringe" stars Anna Torv, Joshua Jackson, John Noble, Lance Reddick, Blair Brown and Jasika Nicole.

Return Of The Living Dead
Guest review by Mark Allen
Stars: Clu Gulager, James Karen, Don Calfa, Thom Mathews, Beverly Randolph, John Philbin, Jewel Shepard, Miguel A. Núñez Jr., Linnea Quigley | Written and Directed by Dan O’Bannon
George A. Romero’s output has, for some, been a little lacklustre of late. His last three films, all zombie features – Land Of The Dead (2005), Diary Of The Dead (2008) and Survival Of The Dead – have been fairly pedestrian undead fare, none of them attaining nearly as much critical kudos as his earlier, genre-defining (even, in the case of Night Of The Living Dead, genre-creating) horror pictures. For those disappointed by this and looking for something more substantial from their z-movies, perhaps cult classic Return Of The Living Dead is what you’re looking for…
Taking initial inspiration (and the title) from Romero, the flick is gruesome and hysterically funny in equal measure.

A couple of days ago, Paul brought you guys two quick teasers for Street Fighter: Legacy, a live-action short created by actor/martial artist/filmmaker Joey Ansah (The Bourne Ultimatum) that attempts to faithfully recreate the look and feel of the classic "Street Fighter" video game. And now below, we have the full 3-minute short, depicting what proves to be a pretty cool encounter between series icons Ryu and Ken! A far cry from the days of Miguel A. Every slasher fan has their own choice as the best in the original Jason Voorhees film series, and mine is Friday The 13th Part VI: Jason Lives. From its opening title that winks at the James Bond flicks, this entry provided a welcome sense of knowing humor to the by-then repetitious proceedings, without making fun of Jason himself. (As writer/director Tom McLoughlin has often stated, and does so again on the new Deluxe Edition DVD, that was one of franchise producer Frank Mancuso Jr.’s directives when McLoughlin took this gig.)
Those light touches, and the general panache McLoughlin brings to the film, were a refreshing change from the crudities of the previous A New Beginning (which doesn’t actually sport a Part V on screen—and, as mentioned on its own Deluxe disc, was actually called Repetition during filming). Director/co-writer Danny Steinmann does bring a rude energy to this entry,...

ABC Family has greenlighted an untitled ensemble comedy pilot starring Jordan Belfi, John Carroll Lynch, Faith Prince, Miguel A. Nunez and Silas Weir Mitchell. Suzanne Cryer, Marisol Ramirez, Candy Ford, Leila Arcieri and Sonal Shah also co-star in the pilot, from Touchstone TV. The project centers on Diego (Belfi), a father who takes improving his daughter's crumbling school into his own hands. Ramirez will play Diego's wife. Lynch will play the school's principal.
Miguel A. Nunez Jr. is set to step into the role of the new character on NBC's comedy series Joey. He will portray an actor whom Joey (Matt LeBlanc) befriends and who becomes a "perfect foil for Joey -- he'll be a friend, and he'll also get him in trouble," executive producer Kevin Bright said. Bright said the character was designed to fill a role on the show that had helped drive the success of NBC's Friends, the series from which Joey was spun off. "The thing missing was the camaraderie that Joey had on 'Friends' with Chandler and Ross," he said. "He needed a peer he can hang out with and share things with. (The character also will) broaden the landscape and give (Joey) more places to go and more places to be funny."...
