Was approached to direct
Star Trek: Generations, as well as appear as Spock in the film. He declined because Spock's role in the movie would have been a cameo. Nimoy stated that he did not want to play Spock, or direct any Star Trek movie in which Spock was not an integral part of the plot. Spock's character was consequently edited from the script.
