Without a doubt, Suspiria is Dario Argento’s best film (some of you may not feel the same, but I stand behind my choice), and one of the most atmospheric and artistic films ever made in the horror genre. It is the first in Argento’s “The Three Mothers” trilogy, which also includes Inferno and The Mother Of Tears. Argento was at the top of his proverbial game when directing both Suspiria and Inferno as they defy everything you've come to expect from horror films. Not only are they brimming with suspense and incredibly stylized violence, they are absolutely beautifully filmed.
Suspiria defines the horror film as a work of visual art. Scenes are lit with bright reds, greens, and blues making them look more like moving paintings than film. It's a masterpiece of visual filmmaking. Suspiria also includes one of the most memorable soundtracks of all time. Goblin, who...

Kicking things off in our set visit coverage is an interview with actress Elissa Dowling.
Written and directed by Joston Theney, Axeman at Cutter’s Creek stars Dowling (Black Dahlia), Tiffany Shepis (Nightmare Man), Brinke Stevens (Skeleton Key), Ray Trickitt (Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers) and Arielle Brachfeld (The Haunting of Whaley House). Horror. Vampires. Seductive huntresses. Creator and writer Jason Dube is teaming with director Wolfgang Meyer and producer Stacy Pippi Hammon to bring the eye-catching visuals of his dark and engaging Shadow Hunters comic to life as a feature-length, live-action film.
From the Press Release:
The official Shadow Hunters announcement was made during the recently concluded Miss Misery’s Days of Terror horror convention in Sacramento, California. Director Meyer (Model Hunger, Disciples) is currently penning the script with input from Dube. Hammon (a co-director of the Viscera Film Festival) completes the production team.
Shadow Hunters revolves around the lives of three teenagers seeking vengeance on a dark demon. Though they have supernatural powers, Jessika (a werewolf), Jenna (a vampire), and Renae (a witch) aren’t the monsters in the comic book. In the world of Shadow Hunters, sometimes the things that go bump in the night are the heroes themselves.

Hey there, interplanetary slaves, it's time for our Fourth of July edition of the show! I thought the guest for Independence Day should be iconic. He should be legendary... and he should want to sing "The Star Spangled Banner."
So I chose the incredible, and incredibly kind, Angus Scrimm of the Phantasm series! Angus was nothing but a joy to chat with. We talked about his beginnings, plenty about the Phantasm series, as well as his latest projects, John Dies at the End and Disciples. Thom Surprenant was the only "terror team" member who could join this show with me, and we were nothing but honored, and yes, we were total "fanboys" at times.

A New poster and the first full trailer have been unveiled for Zeroinside Films' new sc-fi found footage project Area 51 Confidential.
The movie sees people from various walks of life held captive outside a secret government installation rumoured to contain extraterrestrial life. A teaser trailer was unveiled in May 2011.
The found footage subgenre - in which a movie is presented as an amateur video recording of actual events - has previously been thrust into the spotlight by such films as Paranormal Activity, Quarantine, Cloverfield and perhaps most famously by The Blair Witch Project.
This latest production is presented under the guise of a "military training video for new hires at the facility known as Area 51."
It follows the plight of a handful of individuals - a broadcast journalist, a documentarian, a teenage girl from Roswell, an army Colonel, and a man who had previously been thought "missing" for...

Not much is known about the flick at this time; however, the logline reads as follows: It has been written that an angel would be risen to usurp the emperor Lucifer. If this angel were to be given life, Lucifer would no longer be what God now fears.
Okay, a demon scarier than big red? Color us intrigued. We'll dig up more on this one as soon as we can.
Disciples stars Linnea Quigley, Brinke Stevens, Tony Todd, Angus Scrimm, Bill Moseley, Camden Toy, Debbie Rochon, Nick Principe, and a lot more. Hit the link at the bottom of this story for the whole enchilada.

On Tuesday, December 6th, Lionsgate is set to release writer/director Mel House's latest genre offering, Psychic Experiment, which features an all-star cast including Katie Featherston, Debbie Rochon, Adrienne King, Reggie Bannister, Glenn Morshower, Kathy Lamkin and Shannon Lark just to name a few.
Psychic Experiment is centered around an idyllic, small, self-sufficient community which seems like the perfect neighborhood on the surface. After all, everything you could possibly need is within walking distance. But eventually the pastoral exterior conceals a dark past and an even darker secret, and as a group of individuals - each with their own ties and agendas with the town and each other - converge on the enclave, strange things begin to happen. Very strange things. Strange enough to test - and then break - the very fabric of reality itself.
