Carrie-Anne Moss, best known for her iconic role as Trinity in 'The Matrix' franchise, is set to join Arnold Schwarzenegger and the cast of "FUBAR" for the show's second season on Netflix.
Moss will play Greta Nelso, described as a former East German spy who has a "passionate history" with Schwarzenegger's character, Luke Brunner. In the new season, Luke finds himself facing off against villains from his past, including an old flame (Moss) who threatens to destroy the world.
"We're thrilled to welcome Carrie-Anne Moss to the cast of "FUBAR" for what promises to be an action-packed second season," said creator and showrunner Nick Santora. "Her character Greta Nelso adds an exciting new dynamic as a nuanced adversary with complicated ties to Arnold's Luke Brunner."
In addition to Schwarzenegger and Moss, Season 2 will see the return of Monica Barbaro, Fortune Feimster, Travis Van Winkle, Jay Baruchel, Aparna Brielle, Andy Buckley, Milan Carter, Fabiana Udenio, and Barbara Eve Harris.
The satirical spy series, produced by Skydance Television, follows CIA operative Luke Brunner (Schwarzenegger) who finds himself thrust back into action after saving his daughter during an intended retirement mission in Season 1.
The series' first season garnered praise for its offbeat blend of action, comedy, and family dynamics anchored by Schwarzenegger's first major TV role. Season 2 will continue exploring those elements while raising the stakes with new threats for Brunner to confront.
A release date for the eight-episode season has not been announced yet. The series is executive produced by Santora, Schwarzenegger, Adam Higgs, Scott Sullivan, and others.

It will be worth it. That’s what the first two seasons of Good Omens have taught us as we await the third to return. The Prime Video series, based on the book of the same name by Neil Gaiman and Sir Terry Pratchett and now expanding on that story, began by following the angel Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) and the demon Crowley (David Tennant) over the leading up to their attempt to stop Armageddon after the birth of the antichrist. The second season moved beyond the book and saw Aziraphale and Crowley hiding the amnesiac archangel Gabriel (Jon Hamm) from both Heaven and Hell before it ended in heartbreak. We know it will be some time before we find out what happens next, so below, we’re gathering everything we know about the future of Good Omens, including teases we got from Gaiman. Where Did Good Omens Season 2 Leave Crowley & Aziraphale?...

Stephen Colbert’s bandleader is giving the Late Show host the gift of music as he celebrates a milestone birthday.
Born in 1964, Colbert turns 60 today. To mark the occasion, Late Show Band bandleader Louis Cato posted a special performance of one Colbert’s favorite songs. As part of his weekly #CatoCover series on Instagram, Cato performed a rooftop acoustic rendition of Glen Campbell’s “Wichita Lineman.”
Colbert will be spending the landmark birthday at work, kicking off a week of new Late Show episodes. But he’ll be celebrating with old friends and heroes.
His guest tonight is Steve Carell, one of Colbert’s closest friends. The two came up together at The Second City in Chicago, and both went on to star in the short-lived The Dana Carvey Show. They then served as correspondents on Jon Stewart’s The Daily Show, overlapping from 1999-2005.

Since the writers strike, streamers have been trying to figure out an acceptable new model with which to pay creators. According to a new report, Apple has quietly come forward with what it believes could be the answer.
Bloomberg reported Monday that Apple has met with talent representatives to propose a new compensation model that would pay creators based on a show or movie’s performance, no longer paying a premium up front to buy out an individual’s backend earnings.
Bloomberg obtained a memo that suggests creators would get bonuses based on three criteria: (1) how many people sign up for Apple TV+ to watch your program, (2) the amount of time people spend watching it, and (3) how much your program costs relative to how many people watch it. The creatives behind three best-performing shows could make as much as $10.5 million for a single season of television.

The premise of the drag makeover show “We’re Here” is that queer liberation hasn’t extended as far as it could. For three seasons, a group of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” alumni have traveled to small towns throughout the country, helping members of the local LGBTQ community assert their identity and visibility through gender-bending performances. But even a project that deliberately targets places where gay and trans people might feel cut off from a sense of camaraderie — many locations are scattered throughout the South and Midwest, with occasional detours to California and Hawai’i — didn’t anticipate their own art...

The MTV Movie & TV Awards is taking another break. Variety has confirmed that the event, which would have normally taken place around this time of year, will instead sit 2024 out — with an eye toward returning next year, perhaps in a different, “reimagined” format.
It’s been a bumpy decade for the MTV Movie & TV Awards, which first began in 1992 (as the MTV Movie Awards). Last’s year’s event was forced to pivot to a pre-taped clip show in light of the Hollywood writers’ strike, as host Drew Barrymore bowed out and the WGA announced plans to picket the ceremony.

Jimmy Kimmel gave a hitchhiking Bruce Springsteen a lift—at least that’s what Kimmel’s daughter thought.
In an interview with Good Morning America today, Kimmel revealed the origins of Stewart’s surprise appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last week, and his daughter’s reaction to the bit.
The pre-taped segment featured Kimmel and his wife—co-head writer and executive producer Molly McNearney—driving their kids Jane and Billy to school and picking up a hitchhiking Stewart along the way. The bit was a reference to a Jkl segment from six months ago, when Kimmel picked up Olivia Rodrigo, who his kids are huge fans of.
Unsurprisingly, they were less interested in carpooling with Stewart.
“We picked up Olivia Rodrigo, and then Jon called and said, ‘Wouldn’t it be fun if you picked me up and then the kids don’t know who I am?,’” Kimmel told GMA.

Being a child actor is a tricky profession. For every Anna Paquin or Ryan Gosling, there are countless other young thespians whose names have been lost to the unforgiving ravages of the audition process. For Jesse Plemons, his Hollywood career started when he was an extra in a Coca-Cola commercial. Thirty years later, he’s still working, and has gone from utility player to leading man. In 2022, as he takes on the role of a billionaire husband in Windfall, one thing rings true when you see Plemons’ name in the credits: For the next little while, you’re in good hands.
Though his character doesn’t have a name, Plemons plays a snotty tech billionaire trapped in a hostage situation with his wife (Lily Collins). In another actor’s hands, it might be a role that could tiptoe into the clichéd: a wealthy and unpleasant jerk with few redeeming qualities.

There are few films that made a bigger splash in 2021 than Jane Campion’s masterful and suspenseful Western . It’s Certified 95% Fresh on the Tomatometer, leading the Golden Globes with seven nominations and a clear winner of IndieWire’s Critics Poll. These types of astounding accolades aren’t new for Campion, the only woman to ever win the Palme d’Or at Cannes and the second woman to be nominated for a Best Director Oscar (both for 1993’s The Piano).

This interview contains major spoilers for Don’t Look Up.
What would the end of the world actually look like? This question has weighed on Dr. Amy Mainzer for more than two years now, ever since she was first approached by writer and director Adam McKay to act as science consultant on his new film, .
The dark comedy stars Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio as two scientists who discover a comet on a collision-course with Earth, kickstarting a countdown to the apocalypse. Seems like something we should all take seriously, no? But as astronomy Ph.D. candidate Kate Dibiasky (Lawrence) and her advisor Dr. Randall Mindy (DiCaprio) soon find out, reconciling facts with public perception in a culture wracked with divisions isn’t quite as simple as looking up toward the sky.

Melanie Lynskey only appears a handful of times in , but each of her scenes packs a punch — and not just because she hurls prescription bottles at on-screen husband Dr. Randall Mindy (Leonardo DiCaprio) after she catches him cheating. In a movie where the loudest and most belligerent voices take center stage, she infuses June Mindy with a quiet determination that drowns out the nonsense around her.
Lynskey’s talent shouldn’t come as a surprise: The New Zealand–born actor has been stealing scenes since 1994, when she made her big screen debut alongside Kate Winslet in Peter Jackson’s Heavenly Creatures. Since then, she’s made a career out of playing relatable women... or, at the very least, the ones who tend to carry dark, twisty secrets under a soft-spoken, unflappable exterior.

How on earth did the makers of The Silent Sea create a crash landing on the moon and make lunar water look so ominous that we had to ask NASA for details? What exactly is CGI and what’s real life? These trade secrets lie with Korean production company Westworld — but like Bae Doona’s Dr. Song, we’re determined to get to the bottom of it.
Founded in 2018, Westworld offers everything from storyboards and concept design to on-set supervision and digital creature development. Fans of Korean television may remember their work on Scripting Your Destiny as well as the Netflix series Sweet Homeand Mystic Pop-up Bar.
For The Silent Sea, Westworld VFX supervisor Kim Shin-chul drew inspiration from blockbuster films Ad Astra and Prometheus, as well as Ridley Scott’s Alien franchise. And to visually reproduce the characteristics and properties of the moon’s surface, the team closely...

After more than two years in development, Charlie McDowell was nearly ready to direct his third feature. This one was going to be set all over New York, a step up in budget and in scope. But then came Covid, and the film, like everything else, was put on indefinite hold. “The question for myself and friends who are artists was, ‘How do we continue to make stuff?’ ” McDowell tells Tudum. The answer came a couple months into the pandemic. During a video chat with several friends and frequent collaborators — McDowell’s writing partner, Justin Lader; the actor Jason Segel; and the writer Andrew Kevin Walker (Se7en) — Segel suggested that the group write a film specifically set in a location where a small cast and crew could safely isolate.
It wasn’t so much an inspired idea as an obvious one: McDowell’s two previous films, The One I Love...

Bonjour, Emily in Parisfans.
Since it's been a minute since we hung out with our friends in the City of Lights, and because we're more than ready for Season 3, we asked series star Lily Collins to recap all the drama, hilarity and fashionable moments from the second season of the show. The challenge? We gave her less than a minute to do so.
Ever the pro, Collins got the job done, sharing details surrounding Emily’s career crossroads, love triangle (or should that be love quadrangle?) and her big finale dilemma all before the clock ran out.
“When we left Emily, she was at a crossroads in her career, torn between joining her former boss’ new PR firm or staying at Savoir,” explains Collins in the recap. “If she follows Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu), Emily sacrifices any hopes of climbing the corporate ladder back to her beloved Chicago.”
But her personal...

Simone Ashley stands on a red carpet inside Arth Bar & Kitchen in Culver City, California, perfectly poised in a white gown she’s wearing with serene confidence. Suddenly, you can see the gears in her mind shift, and her easy smile widens into the kind that suggests she has always known the answer to the question in front of her and can’t wait to share it. “It’s coconut oil!” she tells Tudum, grinning.
Anyone who has watched Ashley’s star-making turn in Bridgerton Season 2 — as horse-riding heroine Kate Sharma — can guess what the 27-year-old is explaining: It’s the product Kate smooths through the tresses of her younger sister, Edwina Sharma (Charithra Chandran), in this season’s third episode, “A Bee in Your Bonnet.” While Kate can’t mend Edwina’s heart after the particularly disappointing dinnertime blunder committed by her crush Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey), she can...

Everyone who’s watched Bridgerton Season 2 knows that Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley) isn’t a people pleaser. In fact, it’s one of the things Ashley loves most about her character. Kate relocates with her sister, Edwina (Charithra Chandran), and their mother, Lady Mary (Shelley Conn), to Regency England, just in time to participate in the season’s marriage market. Kate and Mary have high hopes of finding Edwina a suitable husband and securing their family’s future, but Kate refuses to be pinned in by the rules that define the Regency-era social season.
She embarks on unchaperoned early morning horseback rides and is ambivalent about being labeled a spinster at 26. She’s sharp, demanding and capable, acting as a buffer between her sister — whom Queen Charlotte (Golda Rosheuvel) has crowned the season’s diamond — and the suitors who might court Edwina for the wrong reasons. “When I had the...

If Julia Garner’s accent in Inventing Anna sounds unusual to you — you’re not alone.
In the upcoming Shondaland Netflix series, the Ozark alum stars as the titular Anna Delvey, a charismatic entrepreneur or con artist (depending on who you ask) who convinces many of New York’s power players that she was a German heiress worthy of their financial support... to the tune of millions of dollars. Delvey’s accent — a hodgepodge of Russian, German and American inflections — is as complicated and muddled as her past.
“People are like, ‘This accent is crazy. Is this what she sounds like?’ They can't believe it,” Garner tells Tudum. “But at the same time, I want everybody to just Google how she sounds. I wouldn't allow myself to just go on screen and do a half accent. I’m a perfectionist.”
Garner says nailing Delvey's accent is the key to nailing the character.

Emily Cooper (Lily Collins) has faced several major life decisions while she’s been in France working at marketing firm Savoir. The latest? Whether she wants to quit working under her American boss, Madeline (Kate Walsh), and officially sign on with her French boss, Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu), and her new agency. As we see in this sneak peek of the first seven minutes of Emily in Paris Season 3, she appears to have made up her mind... but she still has to actually do it.
Like any self-respecting rom-com heroine, Emily copes with that life-altering stress by having a little too much rosé and giving herself a hair-altering snip — yes, she cut her own bangs. Don’t worry, roommate and Bff Mindy (Ashley Park) responds the way a bestie should when her friend makes emotional hair-related decisions: “Emily, no!”

Maya Rudolph continued a subtle tradition of paying tribute to her late mother on Saturday Night Live this past weekend.
In an episode that highlighted moms with multiple Mother’s Day sketches, Rudolph used one of the show’s commercial bumpers to recreate a photograph of her own mom, soul singer Minnie Riperton.
Rudolph has made a point to honor mother, who passed away in 1979 when Rudolph was only 6 years old, each time she has hosted SNL. When she first hosted in 2012, Rudolph posed in overalls holding an ice cream cone as it dripped down her hand, matching the album cover of Riperton’s “Perfect Angel.“
In her 2021 episode, Rudolph was depicted against a blue background haloed by flowers, invoking the artwork of Riperton’s third album, “Adventures in Paradise.” Rudolph’s most recent bumper, again depicting Rudolph crowned by flowers, recreates another photo from that record’s artwork.

Regarding the show’s premise, DeGeneres shared a revealing quote about what topics will be discussed onstage. “To answer the questions everyone is asking me: Yes, I’m going to talk about it. Yes, this is my last special. Yes, Portia really is that pretty in real life,” she added about wife and actress Portia de Rossi. Netflix As fans of DeGeneres will recall, the former talk show host found herself embroiled in controversy toward the end of her show’s run after toxic workplace allegations behind the scenes.
