Stanley Tucci thinks “it’s fine” for straight actors to play LGBTQ characters in movies and television.
“Obviously I believe that’s fine,” Tucci said on BBC Radio 4’s “Desert Island Discs” show. “I really do believe that an actor is an actor is an actor. You’re supposed to play different people. You just are. That’s the whole point of it.”

“As tensions rise and rivalries deepen, there are spilled secrets, forged alliances, and snatched liaisons that draw wives, lovers, colleagues, friends, and families into their battle,” reads the longline.
The series will be produced by Happy Prince Productions, which is part of ITV Studios. Elliot Hegarty (“Ted Lasso”) will lead direct and exec produce episodes 1-3. Eliza Mellor (“The Midwich Cuckoos”) is series producer.

Ryan Reynolds channeled his inner Ted Lasso at the Wrexham F.C. match, alongside co-owner Rob McElhenney. Ryan and Rob bought the Welsh soccer team earlier this year, and finally saw their players in action on Tuesday, Oct. 26. The Deadpool and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia actors watched Wrexham go up against Maidenhead United at the York Road stadium, a moment that Ryan described on Instagram as "staggering, heartbreaking, gorgeous, tommy-gun of soul-deadening, evil and beauty." He added, "I'm never sleeping again ever ever." The actors were joined by Felicity Blunt (who is Emily Blunt's sister and Stanley Tucci's wife), along with...

In a new interview, Stanley Tucci shared that he was diagnosed with cancer and underwent successful treatment three years ago.
The actor told Vera that doctors discovered a large tumor at the base of his tongue. “It was too big to operate, so they had to do high-dose radiation and chemo. I’d vowed I’d never do anything like that, because my first wife died of cancer, and to watch her go through those treatments for years was horrible,” he said, referring to Kate Spath-Tucci, who died in 2009.
“The kids were great, but it was hard for them,” he said. “I had a feeding tube for six months. I could barely make it to the twins’ high school graduation.” Tucci is a father of five: he has three children from his marriage to Spath-Tucci, and two younger children with Felicity Blunt, his wife since 2012.
Tucci said that his cancer is unlikely to come back.

Stanley Tucci has been a professional actor for nearly 40 years. He’s earned three Emmy Awards, been nominated for an Oscar and a Tony, held his own with Meryl Streep twice and stolen scenes in everything from tiny indies to giant blockbusters. And then, in his words, “I made a cocktail on the internet.”
It wasn’t meant to go viral; it wasn’t even intended for public consumption. It was about a month into lockdown, and Tucci’s wife, Felicity Blunt (sister of Tucci’s “The Devil Wears Prada” co-star Emily Blunt) suggested he make a video for her to share with her co-workers at the U.K. agency Curtis Brown. “It was just meant to be something in-house, to sort of cheer some people up,” Tucci says. So the actor called on the skills he developed bartending before he achieved fame and fortune, and mixed up the perfect Negroni.

Brie Larson is set to star in the Apple TV+ drama “Lessons in Chemistry,” which has been given a straight-to-series order, the streaming service said Friday.
Per Apple, “Set in the early 1960s, ‘Lessons in Chemistry’ follows Elizabeth Zott (Larson), whose dream of being a scientist is put on hold in a society deeming that women belong in the domestic sphere, not the professional one. When Elizabeth finds herself pregnant, alone and fired from her lab, she musters the ingenuity only a single mother has. She accepts a job as a host on a TV cooking show, and sets out to teach a nation of overlooked housewives — and the men who are suddenly listening — a lot more than recipes… all the while craving a return to her true love: science.”

Stanley Tucci is flexing his mixology mastery.
On Monday, the actor, 59, shared a video tutorial on Instagram showing fans how to make his homemade Negroni. Tucci made the cocktail in his kitchen as his wife Felicity Blunt recorded.

As much of America continues to self-quarantine, the propensity to go stir crazy increases with each passing day. Maybe they’re teasing us with some quarantine writing session. Most likely, they’re sitting in their very large homes, marathoning movies until their eyes glaze over. Relatable! Celebs Are Bored highlights the absurd, inane and mundane decisions made by people who have an unexpectedly large amount of free time.

After a self-imposed exile from Hollywood, Kelly McGillis is back on our screens. But she's not necessarily feeling the "need for speed" As her former co-stars Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer suit up for the sequel to 1986's Top Gun, Kelly likely won't be reprising her role as flight instructor Charlie Blackwood, Tom's on-screen love interest. Instead, she has been sticking to quieter projects like Hallmark movies and horror flicks. Kelly starred in Hallmark's An Uncommon Grace last year, for example, playing a grandmother living on a farm in Amish country. Other recent gigs of hers include the horror films The Innkeepers and We Are What We Are, the thriller Mother of All Secrets, and episodes of the TV shows The L Word and Z Nation. Kelly in Top Gun. Congratulations are in order! Stanley Tucci is a dad again, as he and his wife, Felicity Blunt, welcomed their second child. His rep confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that Felicity birthed a daughter named Emilia Giovanna Tucci on April 19. The bundle of joy weighed in at 6 lbs., 6 oz. The duo has not publicly spoken out about their baby or even Felicity's pregnancy. Instead of making a verbal public announcement, the couple let Felicity's baby bump speak for itself during Guggenheim Museum's screening of Final Portrait in NYC on Thursday, March 22, just a month before she gave birth. At the special event, Felicity's sister Emily Blunt and her good friend Blake Lively were seen rubbing her pregnant belly. Stanley, 57, and Felicity, 36, previously met at Emily's wedding to John Krasinski in 2010, just one year after Stanley's first wife, Kate Tucci, sadly died. Gird your loins — because there was an impromptu The Devil Wears Prada reunion at the premiere of Stanley Tucci‘s latest film!
At Thursday’s premiere of Tucci’s new movie Final Portrait, both Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt showed up to lend their support to the 57-year-old actor-director.
Although the trio didn’t pose all together at the event, Tucci was spotted smiling alongside Streep — with whom he also starred in 2009’s Julie & Julia — and cozying up with Blunt.

Chris Hemsworth's Sunday was a cuteness overload. The actor brought his family to the Audi Polo Challenge in London, where they linked up with Prince William and Prince Harry. Chris and wife Elsa Pataky lit up with big smiles while chatting with William and Harry, but the cutest moment came when Chris held on tight to the couple's daughter, India Rose. At one point, the little lady appeared more concerned with her pacifier than what was happening around her. (Perhaps the royals have seen enough of Prince George's unimpressed face to understand it's not personal). Chris, Elsa, and India also spent time with stars like Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci, who is married to Emily's older sister, Felicity Blunt. Keep reading to see their fun day, and if you can't get enough of the Hemsworths, check out Chris and Elsa's cutest family photos.

Gwyneth Paltrow is coming out with a third cookbook. Let us repeat: a third cookbook. Does one need yet another outlet for the actress to remind us that her life is far more put together than ours (conscious uncoupling not withstanding)? More importantly, do we really need another batch of recipes supposedly time-tested by celebrities?
It turns out, yes, we do. While there are plenty of cookbooks by celeb chefs, many of whom appear on your TV screen nightly, recently there haven't been that many food tomes by actors and singers. Maybe they’re busy doing other things (like acting or singing) or don't think we'll believe they can cook for themselves let alone us. In fact, Paltrow was quite humble when she admitted to Rachael Ray: "I really love doing it. It’s such an awesome side project that I get to do, and I feel really lucky that people bought the first one and...
