One of the most famous moments in TV history came on September 26, 1962 with the airing of "The Dick Van Dyke Show" episode "Never Name a Duck," the first episode of the second season. During the opening credits of the show, Rob Petrie (Van Dyke) entered through his front door while the upbeat theme music (composed by Earle Hagan) played on the soundtrack. The announcer shouted out the names of the stars: Dick Van Dyke, Rose Marie, Morey Amsterdam, Larry Matthews, and Mary Tyler Moore. Rob stepped out of a foyer and immediately tripped over a large ottoman in his way. Van Dyke, a brilliant physical comedian, tumbled all the way over, rolling over his shoulder and landing on his back. It remains, to this day, one of the most celebrated pratfalls in the history of the medium.

Elvis Presley’s work as an actor never fulfilled him in the way he’d hoped, but it brought him into contact with a handful of major stars. Elvis often got along well with his co-stars — he even dated quite a few of them. There was one actor he clashed with, though. While they eventually got along well, Elvis and Barbara Stanwyck had a rocky start to their relationship.
Elvis got off to a rough start with another actor
In 1964, Elvis starred in Roustabout, a musical film in which his character joins a struggling carnival. Stanwyck played the owner of the carnival who gives him a job. When the two actors met, a misunderstanding nearly led to a very uncomfortable on set experience.
“Elvis was a little bit late and Miss Stanwyck was already on the set waiting,” bodyguard Sonny West said in the book Elvis: What Happened? by Steve Dunleavy.

The tributes have started for Bob Barker, who passed away today at age 99 at his home. The longtime “The Price is Right” host and animal activist was a part of many lives in his role on television and in reminding the world of animal plights.
But his warmth and humanity touched so many in the moments away from the cameras, as he was fondly remembered today by his friends, coworkers and Hollywood organizations.
His longtime home at CBS was honored by a company statement: “We lost a beloved member of the CBS family today with the passing of Bob Barker. During his 35 years as host of The Price Is Right, Bob made countless people’s dreams come true and everyone feel like a winner when they were called to ‘come on down.’ In addition to his legendary 50-year career in broadcasting, Bob will be remembered as a dedicated animal rights activist.

Right-wing influencers are losing their minds over a new country song that just appeared on streaming services today. “Rich Men North of Richmond” is a passionate screed against the state of the country sung by Oliver Anthony, who identifies as a farmer living off the grid with his three dogs in Farmville, Virginia. In a video Anthony posted to YouTube earlier this month, he says he started writing songs in 2021 after he “wasted a lot of nights getting high and getting drunk.”

Country superstar Garth Brooks has stated that his new Nashville bar will sell Bud Light, and that the establishment will not tolerate transphobia.
Brooks made the revelation during a panel at Billboard Country Live this week. His “Friends in Low Places Bar & Honky-Tonk” is named after one of his biggest hits, and the venue is scheduled to open in Nashville’s Lower Broadway area this summer. Many country artists have opened bars in the area bearing their names.
“I want it to be a place you feel safe in, I want it to be a place where you feel like there are manners and people like one another,” Brooks said on the panel. “And yes, we’re going to serve every brand of beer. Bud Light Parent Tries To Counter Dylan Mulvaney Backlash With Clydesdales Across America Ad Imagery
Hoping to win back the audience that abandoned Bud Light and other affiliated products in the wake of its endorsement deal with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney, Anheuser-Busch has launched a new ad featuring its most iconic image.
The new patriotic ad, released Friday, shows a Clydesdale horse walking past famous landmarks ranging from New York City to the Grand Canyon, with a solemn voiceover delivering a patriotic message.
“This is a story bigger than beer,” the narrator says. “This is the story of the American spirit.”
At one point, the ad shows two people raising an American flag, with one placing a hand over her heart.
“Brewed for those who found opportunity in challenge and hope in tomorrow,” the ad’s narrator says.
Bud Light parent Anheuser-Busch InBev Sa/Nv is a Belgian multinational based in Leuven, Belgium. It has approximately 630 beer brands in 150 countries.

Earlier this month, Kid Rock responded to Bud Light’s collaboration with trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney by lining up cases of beer, pulling out his assault rifle, and shooting them. Flipping off the camera, he declared: “Fuck Bud Light and fuck Anheuser-Busch.” Kid Rock’s response to a beer partnership and the surrounding ruckus elicited a 200-word statement issued by the brewing company’s Chief Executive Officer Brendan Whitworth on Friday.
The declaration reads like a carefully crafted piece of crisis PR, in which Whitworth seems to be attempting to placate conservatives boycotting Anheuser-Busch products.

Some men need things spelled out for them in the simplest terms possible, as to avoid confusion at all costs. It’s why body wash brands like Raw Sugar and Dove have men-specific lines. The products don’t clean their bodies any better than if the word “men” wasn’t printed on the packaging, but maybe the idea of smelling like tires and testosterone makes them feel at ease. Update: In his first interview since revealing earlier this year that he has stomach cancer, Toby Keith says he is “thinking about getting back into fighting shape.”
While acknowledging that his illness is “pretty debilitating, Keith added, “as long as everything stays hunky-dory, then we’ll look at something good in the future.”
Keith spoke to CMT Hot 20 Countdown on his condition. He said that “I need a little bit of time to just rest up and heal up.”
Keith made his illness public in June, canceling dates as he took time for treatment. But he’s done a few public appearances, including one performance in November at the Jeff Ruby Steakhouse in Lexington, Ky, where he performed “I Love This Bar” and Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Sweet Home Alabama.”

If you’re in the media or entertainment business, you need to have some exposure to the live event space.
Disney and NBCUniversal have their theme parks, of course, and others like Netflix have created their own live activations (Stranger Things, The Bridgerton Ball, etc). Still others have taken it a step further by trying out their own fan conventions, hoping super-fans will pony up for access to talent, merchandise and other offers. Consider WarnerMedia’s DC Fandome, or Bravo’s BravoCon.
Can a cable news channel make it work too? Fox News thinks so.
In 2019, Fox News’ streaming service Fox Nation launched an awards show for regular people called The Patriot Awards, honoring people in categories like the Most Valuable Patriot Award, the Heroism Award, and the Service to Veterans Award.
On Thursday, it will host the 4th iteration of the awards show.

Spoiler Alert: Do not read ahead if you have not watched “The Masked Singer” Season 6, Episode 10, “Group B Semi-Finals,” which aired November 17 on Fox.
There has perhaps never been a more on-the-nose costume on “The Masked Singer” than “Duck Dynasty” star Willie Robertson as the Mallard. In a reality TV heavy night for “The Masked Singer,” Robertson was unmasked as Mallard, and “Queer Eye” star/interior designer Bobby Berk was revealed to be the Caterpillar, as seen on the tenth episode of Season 6, “Group B Semi-Finals.”
“I was just hiding in plain sight, I guess,” said Robertson — who pointed out that technically the character he was dressed as is not actually a mallard. “That thing was awesome, and I let them know it’s not a mallard, it’s a wood duck. I knew the difference, but then we thought it would be a funny throwoff clue.”
For Mallard, no one got Robertson right.

“To be a part of a show where it’s this kind of alternate, wonderful world was just thrilling,” declares Anthony Rich about the new Fox sitcom “Call Me Kat.” Rich directed three episodes of the freshman comedy, which stars Mayim Bialik as a thirtysomething single proprietor of a local “cat cafe,” which was just renewed for a second season. The series marks a reunion of sorts for Rich and Bialik — Rich worked with the actress for 12 years on “The Big Bang Theory.” Watch our exclusive video interview with Rich above.
Rich came to the show through his connection to Bialik and her fellow “Big Bang” star Jim Parsons (both are executive producers of “Call Me Kat”). Rich prepared for his interview with creator Darlene Hunt by binge-watching “Miranda,” the acclaimed British sitcom upon which “Call Me Kat” is based. “I fell in love with it,” he exclaims. “I was...

More than two years after CBS Studios was sued over the current MacGyver series, the company has hit back, claiming that the case “suffers from fatal, incurable deficiencies.”
Back in December 2018, Hanzer Holdings and Arlita Inc. filed a lawsuit claiming that CBS’ update of the drama series entitled them to payments based on a deal dating from the original series. Both plaintiffs are described as “successors in interest” to Major Talent Agency, the packaging agent for the original 1985-92 MacGyver series that was exec produced by Henry Winkler and John Rich.
According to the original suit, Mta was a third-party beneficiary of the 1984 deal with CBS Studios’ predecessor in interest, Paramount Television, that spawned the series. That pact included a “package commission” agreement between Mta and Paramount that the suit says covered “each series produced under the 1984 Agreement.”

The Fox Nation streaming-video service has long been touted as a new option for super-fans of the Fox News Channel.
