Will Chris Mazdzer do as well on ‘Dancing with the Stars: Athletes’ as he did at 80 mph on the luge track?

Will Chris Mazdzer do as well on ‘Dancing with the Stars: Athletes’ as he did at 80 mph on the luge track?
Chris Mazdzer made history at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea, by winning the silver medal in men’s luge. He was the first American ever to medal in that event. Now he’s making history again as the first luger to compete on “Dancing with the Stars.” He’s one of the 10 sports stars who were announced for the upcoming four-week “Athletes” edition of “DWTS” starting on April 30. But will his skills on the luge track translate well to the ballroom? Let’s consider the pros and cons.

Pros:

Though luge athletes keep their bodies rigid as they hurtle down the track, the sport requires significant coordination and balance in order to maintain control at speeds exceeding 80 miles per hour on a narrow sled. That kind of bodily control could translate well to learning and executing intricate dance steps every week.

His outgoing personality will likely win him

Emmys 2018: Experts say Iain Armitage (‘Young Sheldon’) could become youngest Comedy Actor nominee in history

Emmys 2018: Experts say Iain Armitage (‘Young Sheldon’) could become youngest Comedy Actor nominee in history
Will Iain Armitage (“Young Sheldon”) make Emmy history with a nomination for Best Comedy Actor? He turns 10-years-old this year, so if he makes the cut this summer he’ll be the youngest nominee in the history of the category and the second youngest nominee in Primetime Emmy history. Now a couple of the Expert journalists we’ve polled thus far are predicting exactly that.

To date there have only been two Comedy Actor nominees under the age of 18: Fred Savage contended for “The Wonder Years” in 1989 when he was 13, and Frankie Muniz was up for “Malcolm in the Middle” in 2001 when he was 15. The Primetime Emmys have long been hesitant to recognize child actors, with a few exceptions. Roxana Zal (“Something About Amelia”) became the youngest champ when she prevailed for Best Movie/Mini Supporting Actress in 1984 at age 14. And Kristy McNichol (“Family”) won Best Drama Supporting Actress

‘Dancing with the Stars’: Should Winter Olympics stars Gus Kenworthy, Nathan Chen & more trade in skis and skates for dancing shoes? [Poll]
The 2018 Winter Olympic Games in PyeongChang, South Korea officially begin with the opening ceremony on Friday night, February 8, launching two weeks of competition that will showcase the world’s best skaters, skiers, snowboarders, hockey players and more. But of course the most important question is, how well can they cha cha?

Dancing with the Stars” returns on April 30 for its 26th season, but it will be an irregular competition in more ways than one. First, the season will last only 4 weeks, far shorter than the 10 to 12 weeks we usually get. Second, the season will consist entirely of athletes, which means the show will be well positioned to recruit some Olympians fresh off their glorious victories — or perhaps their tragic defeats. And this wouldn’t be the first time. Ice dancers Meryl Davis and Charlie White both competed on “DWTS” (season 18) immediately after winning gold medals in the 2014 Winter Olympics in
