"I didn't think this is what we were doing?" "What were we doing?" Paramount has debuted the full-length trailer for the new Fatal Attraction series arriving later in April. Described as a "fresh take" on the 1987 erotic thriller film of the same name that starred Michael Douglas and Glenn Close. “In the film, Alex is the villain of the story, and Dan is the hero and there is no gray area,” Caplan states. This Paramount+ series is a "deep-dive" reimagining of the classic 80's thriller, twisting things around, but also exploring the timeless themes of marriage and infidelity through the lens of modern attitudes toward strong women, personality disorders and coercive control. Joshua Jackson & Lizzy Caplan star in Fatal Attraction, with Amanda Peet, Alyssa Jirrels, Toby Huss, Reno Wilson, Brian Goodman, Wanda De Jesus, and Jessica Harper. "So what do you think would happen?" Paramount has revealed a first look teaser for a streaming version of Fatal Attraction, out to watch at the end of April. Described as a "fresh take" on the 1987 erotic thriller film of the same name that starred Michael Douglas and Glenn Close. “In the film, Alex is the villain of the story, and Dan is the hero and there is no gray area,” Caplan states. "Now, audiences have changed so much, we are no longer primed to believe in this villainous woman story. She's clearly mentally ill and that's not something that is really touched upon at all in the movie." A new episode of the Wtf Happened to This Horror Movie? video series has been released this morning, and in this episode we’re looking back at one of the least popular films to be directed by the legendary John Carpenter: the 2001 release Ghosts of Mars (watch it Here). Why didn’t Ghosts of Mars turn out to be another Carpenter classic? We try to figure that out in the video embedded above.
Directed by Carpenter from a script he wrote with Larry Sulkis, Ghosts of Mars has the following synopsis: Long inhabited by human settlers, the Red Planet has become the manifest destiny of an over-populated Earth. Nearly 640,000 people now live and work all over Mars, mining the planet for its abundant natural resources. But one of those mining operations has uncovered a deadly mother lode: a long-dormant Martian civilization whose warriors are systematically taking over the bodies of human intruders.

Last week's episode of Sons of Anarchy was even deadlier than usual. Between Eli's (Rockmond Dunbar) wife Rita's (Merle Dandridge) death to Carla's (Wanda De Jesus) sudden and shocking suicide—in front of Gemma (Katey Sagal) and Nero (Jimmy Smits)—a lot of stage blood hit the ground. All that, and Samcro has agree to traffic more drugs for Pope–which is good for the bank account, but obviously comes with risks. So much for getting out of the muling game. Last night's episode continues the neck deep story telling that Kurt Sutter is so good at. Gemma is at a crossroads and she's medicating at the local dive bar, which of course is never good, especially for lone females. Today we have a couple more Sons of Anarchy season 5 primers, one just to sent to us by FX and another from last week that slipped my mind that I’m adding on for a double dos of Samcro love now. Both are part of the “Before the Anarchy” featurettes FX has been releasing leading up to the upcoming new season, offering insights into characters, old and new, as season 5 draws nearer. These two focus on Maggie Siff’s Tara and the Sons of Anarchy boss himself (and on-screen Otto) Kurt Sutter.
Siff talks about her new darkside and her status as the new Samcro first lady with Jax’s ascension, with Sutter sprinkling other general tidbits about Tara. The second video is about Sutter trying to establish a sense of off-camera camaraderie – citing his experience with Shawn Ryan on The Shield – with his cast and crew and how it translates for the audience on-screen.

Among the host of new faces rolling into Sons of Anarchy in the upcoming 5th season on AMC, and perhaps the most interesting on paper, is Ashley Tisdale, former Disney girl turned into Samcro setting high roller escort for Kurt Sutter next season. Tisdale is set to play Emma Jean and appear in at least two episodes of season 5, and we now get a fresh look at the former Hellcat via a still featuring her with Charlie Hunnam’s Jax, the new Samcro boss.
TVline debuted the image, adding to a set of images featuring Tisdale released in June, that presented a scene that looks like she was getting roughed up. Jean and Jax look tight in this image, and one wonders if there will be any Maggie Siff/Tara drama stemming from this, though it would seem somewhat trite now, and Tisdale’s facial expression doesn’t exactly spell comfort.

FX sent us over another featurette for the upcoming Sons of Anarchy season 5, continuing their “Before the Anarchy” pieces. This one strikes to the heart of the show, focusing on the Samcro rides: the bikes themselves. We get an inside look to some of the thoughts regarding the unique design and models of the Samcro (or rather, The Mayans) stable, introduced by Emilio Rivera, or as you probably know him, Marcus Álvarez, the Mayan’s boss, as they film a scene in Long Beach.
You may have seen some of the previous releases of ”Before the Anarchy”, which have included one that offers us a glimpse behind the scenes of season 5 newcomer Damon Pope (Lost’s Harold Perrineau) and Unser, and another that focused on the duo of Chucky and Gemma. Any insight on the new characters are welcome, as FX and Kurt Sutter has loaded up the new faces...

We got a look behind the scenes of Sons of Anarchy upcoming fifth season earlier this week from the vantage of Chucky (Michael Ornstein) and Gemma (Katey Sagal), and now another Sons of Anarchy duo is next up in this Before the Anarchy video sent to us by FX. Current fans already know about Dayton Callie’s (who I loved in Deadwood) Wayne Unser, whose been with the show almost since the beginning (the second episode), but this tease offers us a look at one of the new faces Samcro is going to have to deal with, one Damon Pope.
Harold Perrineau, who most people know from Lost, signed on to Sons of Anarchy last May to portray Pope, an ex-drug kingpin in Oakland. What’s Pope’s angle with Samcro? Remember Laroy’s girl who got hit in Tig’s hit and run intended for Laroy? That was Damon Pope’s daughter,...

FX sent over this new featurette made to prep us for the upcoming 5th season of Sons of Anarchy. Titled “Before the Anarchy: “Chucky and Gemma” it, as you’d expect, features Michael Ornstein and Katey Sagal (whose Gemma was also central to a recent season 5 teaser) talking about the paths of their characters for the upcoming season. Some of the major changes I think are rather plainly, and effectively, illustrated in the poster above that was released earlier this month, perfectly illustrating the Samcro reality as it stands now.
You already know both Gemma Chucky, but Sons of Anarchy does have some new players lined up for us next season, including Chuck Zito, Wanda de Jesus, and Ashley Tisdale (who we’ve already seen pics of in the mix and drama), and a very cool story involving new Samcro member, Greg the Peg.

The latest in the recent mob of Sons of Anarchy season 5 promos is a poster illustrating division, Samcro style. Charlie Hunnam’s Jax – the new president, he has the patch – has the circle of trust huddled around him, leaving Ron Perlman’s Clay rolling solo. The new pecking order – something Hunnam has talked about – isn’t the only new thing fans have to look forward in the upcoming season, with new faces like Harold Perrineau (of Lost), Jimmy Smits (of why were you in the Star Wars prequels?), and Chuck Zito, Wanda de Jesus, and Ashley Tisdale, of whom we’ve already seem some shots of in her Sons of Anarchy style.

It’s a pretty bad ass poster and I’ve come to realize that just about anything Samcro set in black and white or grey scale is going to look pretty hard.

Sons of Anarchy is rolling back into to town and FX this September, and the list of new actors and characters awaiting fans come the Fall keeps mounting up. The latest is that Billy Brown, who you may have caught on episodes of last season’s Dexter, will be on the other side (or at the very least used to be) of the law in Sons of Anarchy. Brown is set to play August Marks, who will play the right-hand man to another new face in the upcoming season, Lost’s Harold Perrineau.

Chicago – It’s that time of year again when studios look deep into their catalogs and pull out a few lucky titles for potential consumers to give dear old dad on Father’s Day. What got the HD upgrade for the 2012 holiday? Warner Bros. has released one underrated gem and two mediocre “manly movies” in “A Perfect World,” “Blood Work,” and “U.S. Marshals.”
Rating: 3.5/5.0
Clint Eastwood’s “A Perfect World” is a very, very good film, the true gem in this trio of holiday releases and the one that I would recommend well above the other two titles. However, one could do a lot worse than “Blood Work” (also directed by Eastwood) or the sequel to “The Fugitive,” “U.S. Marshals.” I suppose if I needed to pick a second place, it would be Eastwood’s flawed-but-entertaining thriller. “U.S. Marshals” just doesn’t hold a candle to the Oscar-winning film that inspired it.

With all the crazy new characters already being cast for Season 5 of Sons of Anarchy, I’m surprised they’re still finding room for more, with the latest being Wanda de Jesus. Unfortunately, I’ll be able to go through everything we know about who she will be playing in a single sentence. However, while there isn’t much information regarding what role de Jesus will play, you can bet it will be impacting when we consider one other already revealed character: Neron “Nero” Padilla.

Wanda de Jesus is about to start her engines. She's been cast on Sons of Anarchy Season 5.
The actress (CSI: Miami, All My Children) will appear on multiple episodes of the FX drama as Carla, an associate of Neron “Nero” Padilla, the shady mentor for Jax who will be played this fall by Jimmy Smits.
Production has already started on season five, with creator Kurt Sutter revealing little about what lies ahead except to say the focus will be on Jax as the new Samcro President.
Harold Perrineau has also landed the key role of Damon Pope, who will seek revenge against Tig after the outlaw's daughter was run over on the season four finale.
Deadline first reported the casting of de Jesus.

As part of a creative overhaul of the Law & Order spinoff, co-stars Regina Hall and Megan Boone are departing the series. Hall plays Ada Evelyn Price, who works for Ada Morales (Alfred Molina); Boone plays Dda Lauren Stanton, who works under Joe Dekker (Terrence Howard). Boone is exiting completely, while Hall may return for a couple of episodes. The departures follow the early exit of series regular Wanda de Jesus who left in early September, before Lola had premiered. I hear Lola's casting director has been reading actresses for a potential new female Ada role on the show, which is now filming episode 12 and is returning with originals next month. NBC and Wolf Films have been discussing tweaks to Lola since its launch, with conversations still underway.

Count me as one of the people who rolled their eyes when NBC made the decision to axe the reinvigorated Law & Order right before it made TV history, only to replace it with this West Coast spinoff in the same timeslot. Why, I thought, do you get rid of a show that’s getting its second wind…and then why do you replace it with a version of itself? It seemed a slap in the face to Law & Order fans.
The show didn’t do itself any favors with its unorthodox opening sequence, which threw out the beloved Steve Zirnkilton narration in favor of just putting the show’s logo over a black-and-white map of the Los Angeles area and the beat of some pop music. In fact, it makes the unfortunate choice to bypass an opening sequence altogether, going for the now-commonplace tactic of running credits over the first act.

If you read the title "Law & Order: Los Angeles," you know pretty well what to expect from the TV show, right?
And you'd be right, because while the original "Law & Order" is no more and the new show -- which debuts at 10 p.m. Et Wednesday -- is set on the opposite coast, it's still part of the "Law & Order" brand, which means the cops are smart, the prosecutors dogged and the perps doomed. That, and you'll hear the "chung-chung" sound several times per episode.
On all those counts, "L&O: La" delivers. There's a baseline of quality -- well-produced, plot-driven, generally smartly cast and acted -- to all the "L&O" shows, and it's evident here as well. Starting from there, we're going to look at the individual elements in the new show and how well they measure up to the standard set by 40-plus previous seasons of the various "Law & Orders.

Exclusive: Law & Order: Los Angeles co-star Wanda De Jesus is exiting the upcoming NBC series. De Jesus filmed two episodes of the Law & Order spinoff playing Lieutenant Arleen Gonzales, the cool and authoritative captain of the LAPD Robbery Homicide Division. I hear after two episodes, the producers realized that things were not working out in terms of the dynamic they were looking between her character and the rest of the ensemble and decided to recast the role. De Jesus' scenes will be reshot, and producers from the Wolf Films/UMS crime procedural are already meeting with potential replacements. Series regularly do recastings after the pilot. Since LOLA went straight to series, the show's producers have to make adjustments as they go. NBC is said to be interested in possibly casting De Jesus, who is the significant other of Jimmy Smits, star of NBC's new fall series Outlaw, in another project.
