Drew McIntyre and Cm Punk feud has always been filled with twists and turns even before Punk was medically cleared to appear in a match with The Scottish Warrior. But prior to their in-ring match, the duo has been teasing each other, with Punk even costing the other a match.

The former GOP speaker, Newt Gingrich, offered advice for House Speaker Mike Johnson on how he can deal with the “narcissists” in the GOP.
Gingrich attacked hard-right disrupters, calling them “narcissists” and “selfish idiots” while also praising the way Johnson handled an unmanageable caucus.
“[Johnson] has the narrowest majority in modern times, and it’s not a true majority because he’s got six or eight narcissists – people who think that they individually get to screw up everything,” the former GOP speaker told Politico.
He also called out Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Florida) during this interview.
“I think they self-define,” he said of the GOP members. “I’d start with Gaetz, but I would say the list goes on. He’s the super narcissist.”
Gingrich attacked Gaetz for ousting former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy on October 3, 2023, and the continued dysfunction.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has not given up her quest to oust House Speaker Mike Johnson, demanding he either “resign” or “be vacated” after ushering through legislation to send military aid to Ukraine on Saturday.
“Mike Johnson’s speakership is over. He needs to do the right thing to resign and allow us to move forward in a controlled process. If he doesn’t do so, he will be vacated,” Greene told Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo on Sunday.

In a demonstration of her opposition to House Speaker Mike Johnson’s proposed foreign aid package, controversial Rep.Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia) presented a series of amendments to the bills on Wednesday. Among these amendments was a peculiar suggestion to allocate funds for the “development of space laser technology on the southwest border.”
Greene, whose political reputation was tarnished in the early stages of her congressional term when Media Matters exposed her claim in a social media post that “Jewish space lasers” were responsible for a wildfire in California, proposed a plan to utilize such space lasers to safeguard the southern border of the United States.
On Wednesday, Greene posted to X, “I’ve previously voted to fund space lasers for Israel’s defense. America needs to take our national security seriously and deserves the same type of defense for our border that Israel has and proudly uses.”

As the House moves to vote on Ukraine aid this weekend, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia) suggested, without any evidence, that House Speaker Mike Johnson might be being “blackmailed.”
“Mike Johnson has made a complete departure of who he is and what he stands for,” Greene told conservative commentator Tucker Carlson during an interview on his show, Tucker Carlson Uncensored. “And to the point where people are literally asking — is he being blackmailed? What is wrong with him? Because he’s completely disconnected with what we want.”
Carlson asked her if she believed that Johnson was being blackmailed.
“I have no idea,” the Georgia Representative responded. “I can’t comprehend, Tucker.”
During the interview, Greene listed off more policy areas she feels that Johnson has not paid attention to, such as border security, anti-abortion and anti-trans legislation.

Marjorie Taylor Greene has gained an ally in her crusade to oust House Speaker Mike Johnson from his position as head of the Republican caucus. On Tuesday, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) announced that he has signed on to co-sponsor Greene’s motion to vacate against Johnson.

For the roughly 100 workers who have recently joined Condé Nast’s “central editorial group,” work has taken a bizarre turn in the past few months.
In November, 94 Condé Union staffers at the glamorous media company behind Vogue, GQ, Vanity Fair and Bon Appétit — across editorial, video and audience development — learned that they had been earmarked to be laid off as part of a companywide cost-cutting push. (Workers at Condé Nast titles The New Yorker and Wired belong to separate unions.) But the cuts wouldn’t happen immediately: Because the NewsGuild of New York-affiliated union didn’t yet have its first contract in place, which would include terms and conditions for job cuts, the labor group maintained that the proposed layoffs had to be negotiated as part of the talks over the agreement and the employees remained in limbo at their brands, waiting to learn their fate.

House Republicans opposing sweeping reforms to the nation’s immigration law tried — and failed — to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on Tuesday over his handling of border security.
Republicans, who hold a razor-slim majority over Democrats, could only afford to lose two votes on the resolution accusing Mayorkas of presiding “over a reckless abandonment of border security and immigration enforcement, at the expense of the Constitution and the security of the United States.” The vote was 214-216.

The House GOP leadership spent $40,000 on brand-new congressional lapel pins for each of its members.
Every two years, all 435 members of the House of Representatives and the six non-voting members, get new congressional pins which are a security measure.
Ever since 1975, the U.S. Capitol Police have been recognizing members by those pins since they serve as a memento of their time on Capitol Hill.
Spouses and family members are allowed to get similar, though not identical, pins to identify them.
“It’s a thing,” Rep. Sean Casten (D-Illinois) told HuffPost. “It’s a memento for members and spouses.”
Even though House lawmakers received new pins in 2023, they were still given new ones on January 10.
Democrats were fast in publicly calling out Republicans for wasteful spending.

The big bipartisan border reform deal is all but dead, thanks to Maga Republicans obeying Donald Trump’s wishes to kill it. The legislation delivered many of the immigration measures conservatives have long wanted, but the former president and his allies in Congress worry progress on the issue would make Joe Biden look good ahead of the presidential election. Therefore, addressing what Republicans say is the most pressing crisis facing America today is going to have to wait until a later date when the party feels it’s more politically expedient.

Donald Trump is furiously attempting to sink a bipartisan border and immigration package that the Senate unveiled on Sunday — so much so that he’s outright lying about having endorsed the bill’s author, Sen. James Lankford (R-Okla.).
During an interview on Monday with right-wing radio host Dan Bongino, the former president claimed that he had never endorsed Lankford, one of the chief architects and advocates for the legislation. “Just to correct the record, I did not endorse Senator Lankford, I didn’t do it,” Trump said. “He ran and I didn’t endorse him.

The Senate has finally released its long-discussed, much-debated, bipartisan border package. Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) said that it was “really appalling” that former President Donald Trump would lobby against the passing of a bipartisan border security bill being negotiated in the Senate.

Romney made his comment after Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell cooled to the bill after Trump voiced his opposition.
“It was hard for me to see what Leader McConnell was suggesting,” Romney told CNN. “He seemed to be of two minds in the conversation.”

Twice a month Joe Lipsett will dissect a new Amityville Horror film to explore how the “franchise” has evolved in increasingly ludicrous directions. This is “The Amityville IP.”
With Amityville Vanishing Point unavailable to stream or buy in Canada, I’ve had to leap frog over it and go directly to 2016’s The Amityville Legacy (aka Amityville Toybox).
Co-written and co-directed by Dustin Ferguson and Mike Johnson (file away the former: he’ll return several times in the future), the 15th Amityville film is another low-budget, independent effort. All of the characters have the same first name as the actor playing them, and the performances are often amateurish. Namely the film’s visual aesthetic is flat and the audio quality is poor, particularly in early scenes set in cars. The plot recycles the events of both the original and the remake, with a father who goes mad and kills his family,...

Paramount+'s rebooted Star Trek franchise has done an incredible job growing its audience, message, and genre over the last five years.
Besides the five -- count 'em, Five -- series which will air this year, Simon & Schuster Audio has just released an all-new adventure, "Star Trek: No Man's Land," as an audio drama co-written by Kirsten Beyer and Mike Johnson.
Both authors are well-seasoned Star Trek experts.
Beyer has played a large part in the creation and evolution of the many current Star Trek television series, serving as writer and producer on all the live-action series as well as a co-creator on Star Trek: Picard.

Star Trek’s relationship with tie-in media, specifically books and comics, is one of the largest and most expansive in the history of science fiction. Before the explosion of the Star Wars “expanded universe” of novels in 1991, Star Trek had been putting out at least four novels every year since 1980. This output hasn’t really changed much since the ‘80s, and though the official canonicity of Trek novels remains intentionally vague, there’s a long tradition of the writers of books and comics making every effort to make what tie-in media match with what you see on screen. But hardcore fans want to know, what counts and what doesn’t? Does what happens in the comic books, novels, and now, audio drama adventures, really count?
Co-writers of the new audio drama Star Trek: Picard – No Man’s Land — Kirsten Beyer and Mike Johnson — want fans to know one thing: They think it all counts.

The final year of the starship Enterprise’s five-year mission has long been speculated about, but never before been given such descriptive and reverential treatment as in Idw’s Star Trek: Year Five, a comic written by Jackson Lanzing and Collin Kelly. Yet, it too must come to an end as the intrepid crew of The USS Enterprise complete their final year of exploration in this true-to-The-Original-Series story that wraps up this summer. Den of Geek was able to sit down with Lanzing and Kelly to talk about the journey, its challenges, and how they managed to bring the Enterprise home in this epic comic series that gives the final year of James T. Kirk and the crew of the Enterprise’s mission the proper examination it deserved.

Rachel Lindsay, former star of “The Bachelorette,” is departing her “Bachelor Nation” podcast, effectively ending her contract with the franchise.
Lindsay’s decision to exit the podcast comes after years of criticizing “The Bachelor” franchise for its lack of diversity efforts, continuously holding the dating show accountable for lack of representation both in front of the camera and behind the scenes.
Lindsay’s final episodes of the “Bachelor Happy Hour,” the podcast she co-hosts with fellow former “Bachelorette” Becca Kufrin, will air as a two-part celebration starting on Tuesday and concluding on May 4, coinciding with the 100th episode of the podcast.
The next two episodes will feature Lindsay and Kufrin reminiscing about their favorite moments, while bidding adieu to Lindsay. “Bachelor Happy Hour” will announce a new co-host at a later date.

This season of The Bachelor has been jam-packed with drama – both on and off the screen. When fans of the show uncovered photos of Rachael Kirkconnell attending an antebellum plantation-themed party back in 2018, host Chris Harrison dismissed the allegations in a shocking and disappointing interview with former Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay. Days later, Harrison announced he would be temporarily stepping back from the franchise, though the entire season had mostly been filmed. All that was left to shoot was the traditional post-finale special, After the Final Rose.
ABC has announced that the episode will be hosted by former Cleveland Browns linebacker and author Emmanuel Acho - here's everything you need to know about the man who is more than equipped to handle the conversation that The Bachelor has been avoiding for years.
He has a multifaceted career in both sports and TV.

It's official: The Bachelor has found its host for the "After the Final Rose" special. Though fans speculated that Rachel Lindsay would take on the role since she has an extensive history of hosting, the job has gone to former NFL player Emmanuel Acho, another public figure well-known for his hosting chops. Acho dropped the news himself, writing out an announcement on his Instagram page on Feb. 27.
"I've accepted the Rose and am honored to be hosting the @bachelorabc After the Final Rose this year," he captioned the photo. "It's been a pivotal season, and this episode will hopefully be one of the most storied shows in TV history. Empathy is needed and change is coming. Share the news! I'll see y'all then!

You can of course never have enough of a good thing. With Blade Runner, this is most definitely true. The ongoing Blade Runner 2019/ 2029 book has been superb, building a world that is pure living and breathing dystopian heaven. The central character of Blade Runner Ash has been a treat, but for me the real star has been the world building. We can see what this world is, the dirt, the squalor, the crime riddled streets. Every story so far has just oozed atmosphere. So, a natural question would be how did it get like this. The Blade Runner movie, set in 2019, hinted at the things that came before, as has the Blade Runner comic series, but someone has decided we need to shine that particular spotlight a little more brightly. I, for one, say yes please.

In honor of Black History Month, E! is talking to Black reality show contestants to reveal what it's really like being a minority on TV. The interviews with Tayshia Adams and Mike Johnson were conducted prior to recent events. The revolution might not be televised, but it will be tweeted. Because after Bachelor host Chris Harrison's questionable defense of Rachael Kirkconnell's past missteps, Matt James' frontrunner having attended an "Old South" plantation-themed party while in college in 2018, something unprecedented happened in Bachelor Nation: The other women competing for James' heart banded together, sharing a joint statement on social media saying they were "deeply...

Was last issue a happy ending? I think so. It took 8 issues and several years in-story, but Cleo finally got her happy ending, a new start with her ‘mother’ Cleo on Arcadia. Ash’s story was more of a mixed bag. On the plus side she regained her Blade Runner badge and status and her powered back brace that allowed her to walk again, and got to return to her old mean streets stomping grounds. On the bad, she’s still technically a wanted person, for kidnapping, her name is mud with her former colleagues, and she’s lost Cleo, the protection of whom gave her a sense of purpose and a human connection. She’s back home, but can you really go home again?
What’s the first thing anyone does, when they go home again?...

The next season of ABC’s “The Bachelor” will feature the franchise’s first Black star in 25 seasons with leading man Matt James. However, a few seasons before James was selected, the network had been eyeing fan-favorite contestant, Mike Johnson, who appeared on Season 15 of “The Bachelorette” and then on “Bachelor In Paradise.”
Johnson was ultimately not selected to be “The Bachelor” for the season that ended up starring Peter Weber, even though fans had started an online campaign for Johnson to be the first Black Bachelor.
Though Johnson doesn’t rule out becoming “The Bachelor” in the future, he is now turning his attention to writing, as a first-time author of “Making the Love You Want” (out on Oct. 2 from The Self Publishing Agency Inc.). The book is not a memoir, but goes into great detail of Johnson’s life experiences, as an inspirational self-help book for readers.

It stood to reason that Congress might, at some point, ask someone from the Trump administration to answer for the recent push to invade American cities with armed federal troops. On Tuesday, that person was Attorney General William Barr, who appeared before the House Judiciary Committee to answers questions about the Justice Department’s move to, as Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-n.Y.) put it, “actively seek out contact” with American citizens demonstrating for their civil rights.
Since assuming the top spot in the Justice Department in February 2019, Barr essentially has...

Incredibly, the last issue of this book that came out was back in March. Wonder what caused the delay…
As pleased as I am that the book is back up and running, it was definitely not a welcome break. Writers Green and Johnson construct their story arcs like a thriller, so each issue ratchets up the tension for the payoff. By having that 4 month delay between issues, that won’t be happening here. I guess the last issue will have to stand or fall on its own merits which, going by the previous seven issues of this book, shouldn’t be a problem.
What may be a problem is remembering just the heck where we reached up to before Covid-19 rudely interrupted us. In a nutshell Ash and Cleo had been separated, with Cleo reluctantly tagging...

The finale to Elvira: Mistress of the Dark is here and has two sides. We are happy to read the conclusion in issue #12 to this very well-written/illustrated series, but sad to see the Mistress of the Dark's adventures end in this comic's run. Also in today's Comics Corner: the first issue (of two) of Hellboy and the Bprd: The Return of Effie Kolb, as well as Death to the Army of Darkness #1 and Blade Runner 2019 #6.

Second story arcs are always tricky, maintaining that initial enthusiasm and buzz, but the new story arc Green and Johnson started last issue was a doozy. They took all the things that everyone really enjoyed from the first 4 issues, and there was a lot to enjoy, and…threw it all out. Yep. No coasting on their watch. Although Ash and Cleo are still our main protagonists, this is several years on and they are very different, and in a very different place, both physically and mentally. After the events of the first four issues, they had gone on the run, ending up on a lunar ore-mining station staffed by Replicants, where they eked out a living. However, seismic changes had come in 2022 when all Replicant production was banned, with already existing units allowed to live out their life spans.

When J Mascis thinks about all of the albums Dinosaur Jr. put out in the Nineties, he says his favorite is the one most people know the least: Hand It Over. The record came out in 1997, as the alternative-rock boom was fading away, and the LP barely made it onto the Billboard 200, peaking at Number 188. The only song from that period to chart anywhere was the ultra-poppy “Take a Run at the Sun,” and that was in the U.K.; the song wasn’t even on Hand It Over. The...

It's been a particularly anxious wait to find out who will be the next Bachelor after that incredibly dramatic finale of Hannah Brown's season of The Bachelorette. We had our personal favorite contenders - with some Bachelor Nation stars picking their favorites as well - but between the two men in the running (Peter Weber and Mike Johnson), only one is heading back to Bachelor Mansion. Say hello to the new Bachelor, Peter Weber!
Considering how fervently fans have been petitioning for their favorites since the end of The Bachelorette, it's not shocking that it's taken this long for ABC to announce their 2020 pick for The Bachelor. Despite rumors that fan-favorite Mike Johnson would be the next Bachelor - and making history as the first black Bachelor in the show's 17 years - the 28-year-old Delta pilot was given the official title.

Two issues in, this book has been as wild a ride as the one Ash finds herself in at the beginning of this issue. Her Spinner, you may recall, was crashed into in mid-air on the final page of last issue, leaving her plummeting down to those dark, rainy streets of Los Angeles. Was that a consequence of her report back to Selwyn on how the investigation was going? Was it a direct result of her confrontation with the artificially aged Replicant? Had someone got wind of things in the more corrupt than not Lapd? Whatever the reason, things weren’t looking promising. Which, to be fair, in the world of a Blade Runner is a pretty average day.

ABC named its newest star of “The Bachelor” this week, officially making Peter Weber the leading man for Season 24 of the long-running dating show.
Social media backlash ensued following the announcement due to ABC’s selection lacking diversity, yet again. Since the dating franchise began in 2002, there has been only one “Bachelorette” of color with Rachel Lindsay in Season 13, and there has never been a black “Bachelor” in the series’ 17-year history.
ABC has long faced criticism for its lack of diversity, but this year, the critiques were heard even louder because the network had a fan-favorite option with contestant Mike Johnson, who appeared on Hannah Brown’s season of “The Bachelorette” alongside Weber, and then again on this summer’s season of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
