Lily Collins reminds me so much of Sarah Jessica Parker. They’re both as fashionable as the characters they portray in their hit TV shows—Lily Collins as Emily Cooper in Emily in Paris and Sjp as Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City.
With the second part of the fourth season of Emily in Paris underway, Collins has been emulating her on-screen persona’s chic styles, embracing corporate core and edgy romanticism!

Cheers actress Kirstie Alley passed away on December 5, 2022, after a battle with cancer. And now, it appears that items from her homes are for sale — including some of her beautiful outfits from Dancing With The Stars.
It’s a great opportunity for long-time DWTS fans who enjoyed watching Kirstie compete in two different seasons of the show. She never brought home the Mirrorball Trophy, but she did bring a lot of fun and life into her performances.
Read on and learn more about the estate sale.

Remember to eat your veggies, everyone! After seeing Emily Blunt‘s most recent red-carpet appearance, you might—or might not—get a craving for sweet potatoes, turnips, and radishes.
Following her regal look in Berlin, Emily Blunt made a quirky appearance at Tuesday’s Paris premiere of her latest action-comedy movie, The Fall Guy. She wore a vegetable-print ensemble that instantly attracted attention. I was charmed by her whimsical outfit, which her stylist Jessica Paster selected from Loewe’s Fall 2024 collection.
Inspired by the works of reclusive artist Albert York, the collection features bright themes that include picturesque rural landscapes, feminine florals, and vegetables. I love how these creative, innovative designs are infused in the collection’s avant-garde silhouettes.

Dakota Fanning is starting her week by making the rounds on the media circuit in elegant white spring outfits, anticipating the April 4 spring premiere of her Netflix psychological thriller series, Ripley.
With the eight-episode limited series coming to Netflix in black-and-white, I think Dakota Fanning’s all-white selections for the press tour make perfect sense.

I love the white shirt dress Fanning wore to her Tuesday appearance on Good Morning America. It’s elegant but not dull, perfectly encapsulating her signature edgy and classy style.
The I Am Sam star chose the $645 “Samba” dress by Simkhai, a Los Angeles-based fashion label known for providing modern women with exquisite ready-to-wear creations that combine feminine sensuality and masculine edge.
I particularly like how Fanning’s dress creates the illusion of a shirt tucked into a midi skirt.

We’re just one month away from the 2024 Oscars and all of the nominees stepped out to celebrate their achievements together at the Oscar Nominees Luncheon!

“It’s a party in there,” The Holdovers star Da’Vine Joy Randolph said upon making it backstage to the press room after becoming the first Golden Globe winner of the night. She was right, too, as Hollywood’s party of the year went down inside the Beverly Hilton, and a proper bash translates to an overload of action both onscreen and behind the scenes as Golden Globe winners, nominees and guests mingled inside the hotel’s international ballroom by the hundreds. Though the telecast aired for a first time on CBS and Paramount+, cameras could not capture all the noteworthy moments. Below is a wrap-up of some things you didn’t see on television.
Keeping Up With Timothée and Kylie
Timothée Chalamet, nominated for his starring turn in the big-screen musical Wonka, turned up at the big show alongside girlfriend Kylie Jenner in a showing that marked the couple’s first awards show appearance together.

Is the male peacock trend over? The prevailing menswear trend at the 2024 Golden Globes was that most guys seemed to have left their ties behind at home or in the Uber — a perilous decision that in some cases created a look that felt a bit too nonchalant for the evening.
But the women more than made up for the men’s collective relaxed attitude with their glamorous looks, from the shimmer of Taylor Swift’s lime-green Gucci sequined gown to the flurry of roses on Jennifer Lopez’s romantic pink wrap with matching gown. And speaking of pink, Margot Robbie is in no hurry to abandon Barbie‘s favorite color, instead working with a legendary couturier on her Golden Globes look.

The announcement of And Just Like That…, the Sex and the City reboot, in 2020, was initially met with excitement by fans of the original series. Then, a series of disappointments came their way. First, Kim Cattrall was not asked to reprise her role as Samantha Jones, and then it was revealed Patricia Field would not return as the stylist on the show. Field had served as the stylist for the original series and both movies. After Field opted out, the show’s fans assumed a feud was going on. As it turns out, that wasn’t the case. Field opted out of serving as a stylist on the reboot for a completely mundane reason. She was already booked.

‘And Just Like That’ Season 2 Embraces Chaos and Forsakes Sanity in an Encouraging Finale — Spoilers
[Editor’s Note: The following review contains spoilers for “And Just Like That” Season 2, Episode 11, “The Last Supper Part 2: Entrée.”]
“If you feel love, run after it.”
Carrie’s latest personal credo doesn’t just linger over the Season 2 finale; it’s spoken aloud to kick off the episode. In case viewers forgot how head over Manolo Blahnik heels our former Shoe Gal is for Aidan (John Corbett), episode writer and director Michael Patrick King features Carrie’s words of advice in the introductory “last time on…” montage. (Wisely left out: Aidan’s egregiously weepy phone call about his hospitalized son.) Fresh off the death of her first husband, Carrie is strapping on her most supportive flats and sprinting after whatever brings her joy. A five-bedroom apartment valued at the Gdp of Albania? She buys it. A teense kitten sure to destroy her Sjp-brand wallpaper (not to mention the cat’s namesake: all of Carrie’s shoes)? She adopts it.

This week’s episode of And Just Like That… picks up where we left off twenty years ago: Carrie Bradshaw and Aidan Shaw are in bed together in a fancy hotel. They can’t seem to get room service delivered, but it seems like they’re having a lot of sex. Later on, Carrie confides in Miranda that she’s having the best orgasms of her life. (No wonder she’s smiling so much).
In true Carrie Bradshaw style, I couldn’t help but wonder… What kind of sex are they having?...

The BFI has set a major U.K.-wide film celebration of one of the greatest and most enduring filmmaking partnerships in the history of cinema: Michael Powell (1905-1990) and Emeric Pressburger (1902-1988).
The du are best known for iconic films including “The Red Shoes” (1948), “A Matter of Life and Death” (1946) and “Black Narcissus” (1947), the latter of which premiered on Wednesday at Bologna’s Piazza Maggiore as part of Il Cinema Ritrovato, screening from a new 35mm print made by the BFI.
From Martin Scorsese to Matthew Bourne, Kate Bush to Tilda Swinton, Powell and Pressburger have influenced creatives for decades and this is the largest and most wide-ranging exploration ever undertaken about the work of the legendary writer-producer-director team. The celebration will kick off this fall with the BFI Distribution re-release of “I Know Where I’m Going” (1945), recently restored by the BFI National Archive and The Film Foundation.

In 1998, the groundbreaking HBO series Sex and the City changed the face of TV as four successful women candidly discussed relationships, careers, dating, children, and of course, sex. Set against the backdrop of New York City, the women made a fashion statement in every episode, dazzling viewers with beautiful clothes and iconic Manolo Blahnik and Jimmy Choos shoes.
Sarah Jessica Parker led the cast as Carrie Bradshaw, a New York City columnist who openly explored her sexuality with her avid readers. She was joined by Kim Cattrall (Samantha), Kristin Davis (Charlotte), and Cynthia Nixon (Miranda) in the long-running, successful series.
Parker, who had an impressive list of film and television credits before accepting the role on Sex and the City, was thrilled to find out that Nixon, who she had known for years, would be joining her in the innovative new series.

The fashion that is seen on Sex and the City still holds up today. The series began airing on HBO back in 1998. The series followed writer Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) as she and her friends navigated their lives as women working and trying to find love in New York City. Fashion was one of the major themes on the show, especially when it came to Carrie.
Here’s how many shoes the character owned in the series.

Today, Manolo Blahnik is a household name. Anyone with even a passing interest in footwear has most likely heard of the luxury shoe brand. In the mid-1990s, that was not the case. Back then, Manolo Blahnik was a far more niche brand. So, how did the niche shoe brand end up on Sex and the City? The world has costume designer Patricia Field to thank. Sex and the City was just as much about fashion as it was about friendship and sex. The HBO Max reboot, And Just Like That… is no different. Over the years, the fierce foursome’s fashion choices have been heavily discussed. Recently, Carrie Bradshaw was spotted in Birkenstocks, and fans can’t stop talking about them. They weren’t just any old pair of the brand’s iconic Boston clogs, though. Carrie’s Birks were wrapped in the famous Gucci monogram. So, are the shoes real and can we buy them? Unfortunately, the answer is no.

“Salvatore: Shoemaker of Dreams,” Luca Guadagnino’s winning documentary delving into the life and career of legendary Italian shoe designer Salvatore Ferragamo, begins appropriately enough with a pair of high-heeled ruby slippers in the process of creation. The sparkling red objects pass through various checkpoints and construction moments in a seamless integration of people and machines, wearable art both handmade and mass-produced.
These opening shots, satisfying and methodical — presented without explanation, suggesting that Guadagnino might be assuming a fly-on-the-wall approach for the duration — quickly give way to traditional documentary practices, and pleasingly so. This is history not widely known outside the world of fashion, and Ferragamo’s story is a complex intersection, touching on early-20th-century immigration, youthful ambition, the dawn of Hollywood, passionate artistic hunger, tenacity, foot fascination and wild innovation. Thus Guadagnino’s carefully and lovingly detailed history lesson, free of stylistic flourishes, is as satisfying and methodical as that red shoe–making.

Four years after his last feature, Luca Guadagnino will be returning this November with not one, but two features. Ahead of his cannibal love story Bones and All, arriving just in time for your Thanksgiving meal, his documentary Salvatore: Shoemaker of Dreams will land in theaters. With narration by Michael Stuhlbarg and appearances by Martin Scorsese, Manolo Blahnik, Christian Louboutin, Grace Coddington, and Wanda Ferragamo, the film charts the life of Salvatore Ferragamo, from a poor teenage shoemaker to creating a dynasty. Ahead of the release, the first trailer has arrived.
Rory O’Connor said in his review, “The film is the latest from Luca Guadagnino, the celebrated Italian filmmaker behind Call Me By Your Name and I Am Love and perhaps the best director of fashionista movies working today. Salvatore is a passion project through and through and fully enamored with its subject, bordering on mythologizing. Many of those interviewed...

It feels like every year, there’s another Luca Guadagnino joint around the corner. Whether his upcoming cannibal love story “Bones and All” or his tennis-world love triangle “Challengers,” the Oscar-nominated Italian filmmaker is never for want of a new gig. But what’s more, he has another completed film that’s been sitting on the shelf since its Venice Film Festival premiere in September 2020: “Salvatore: Shoemaker of Dreams.”
Guadagnino’s latest documentary feature (because he makes those too) is a loving salute to fashion icon Salvatore Ferragamo. In tribute, he’s rounded up a terrific group of luminaries: Martin Scorsese, Manolo Blahnik, Christian Louboutin, and Grace Coddington among them. Exclusively on IndieWire, watch the trailer for the film below.
Eagle-eared Guadagnino fans will note the film’s narrator as heard in the trailer: one Michael Stuhlbarg, otherwise known as Elio’s father Mr. Perlman in “Call Me by Your Name.

This year alone, John David Washington had a full slate of films including Reinaldo Marcus Green’s Monsters and Men, where he played a conflicted police officer as well as the Anthony Mandler-directed drama Monster based on the novel by Walter Dean Myers. He also appears in Robert Redford’s (supposed) last acting hurrah The Old Man & the Gun and also has a role in HBO’s Ballers. And last — but certainly not least — he steps into the lead as the real-life Ron Stallworth in Spike Lee’s BlacKkKlansman. The man has been busy. He deserves a vacation.
But before taking that vacation, Washington stopped by the New Hollywood Podcast to talk about Monsters and Men, Monsters and BlacKkKlansman and how they tackle issues that have been significant for decades within the black community.
We then switched gears as he joked about his “benchwarming” days in the NFL, his road to acting, and one question he doesn’t like being asked in interviews (I think you can take a wild guess at what that is). We also spend a good chunk of time talking about one of his favorite TV shows which involves a Manolo Blahnik-loving sex columnist and her three friends living their fabulous lives in Manhattan. Needless to say, we had a lot to discuss — and laugh about.

Meghan Markle made headlines after she wore a navy sweater and pleated skirt by Givenchy to her walkabout of Rotorua, New Zealand with Prince Harry on Wednesday. Royal admirers noted that her skirt was see-through—giving well-wishers a glimpse at her undergarments. It's unclear whether the fashion choice was a wardrobe malfunction or simply just an intentional, bolder look. While the royals have been known to dress conservatively for official engagements, Meghan hasn't been afraid to break royal protocol. Either way, Meghan looked gorgeous as she smiled and greeted fans in the crowd. She accessorized her outfit with navy suede Manolo Blahnik Bb pumps and Boh...

Sneak Peek new images of "Mad Max: Fury Road" actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in the March 2018 issue of "Harper's Bazaar" (UK) magazine, wearing Saint Laurent, Manolo Blahnik, Altuzzara and a whole lot more, photographed by Agata Pospieszynsk:
"...young girls out there are really feeling insecure about their image," said Huntington-Whiteley, "and they scroll through and see this image of a supermodel looking amazing, reclining on the beach in a completely unrealistic pose or environment.
"And I can see how that would make people not feel good about themselves. I mean, I can't say that I'm immune to that. Sometimes I'm like, 'Fuck!' You know? That doesn’t make me feel great..."
Huntington-Whiteley's first modeling work was with lingerie retailers "Victoria's Secret" and "Agent Provocateur", then as a rep for "Burberry" cosmetics.

Jennifer Garner's latest look proves that less can be more!
On Tuesday, the 45-year-old actress showed up to a screening of her upcoming movie, The Tribes Of Palos Verdes, and opted for a black slip dress by The Row and classic Manolo Blahnik heels.
Keeping the style as simple as possible, Garner paired the dress with a dainty necklace. The mother of three was joined at the screening by J.J. Abrams -- who created Garner's wildly popular series, Alias -- and the film's director Brendon Malloy, who were both dressed in a casual fashion.

In The Tribes of Palos Verdes, which hits theaters on Dec. 1, Garner plays the mother of two teenagers, Sandy Mason, who is on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Medina (Maika Monroe), Sandy's daughter, turns to surfing as an escape when things get volatile at home.

Manolo Blahnik in the documentary Manolo: The Boy Who Made Shoes For Lizards. Courtesy of Music Box Films.
There is a quote near beginning of the documentary Manolo: The Boy Who Made Shoes For Lizards from Marilyn Monroe: “Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world.” Designer Manolo Blahnik seems to have taken that message to heart.
Manolo Blahnik, white-haired, sharp-tongued, fussily dressed, with round black frame glasses, seems to barely tolerate being photographed, telling him the film is “taking as long to make as Gone With The Wind.” The scene which sets up a snapshot of his personality – funny, sharp-witted, not suffering fools gladly – and restless nature. A quick montage of celebrities touting his shoes is capped by the filmmaker coaxing Manolo to tell an oft-told tale. When he was a boy growing up in Spain’s Canary Islands, he would make shoes for lizards.

The maestro of mules comes across as a modest, giggly sweetheart in a film that handles his achievements with the seriousness they deserve
‘Never take yourself seriously, or you’re finished,” says shoe designer extraordinaire Manolo Blahnik in this documentary about the maestro himself. But the best thing about this bijou, perfectly proportioned fashion doc (a sub-genre in its own right these days) is that, for all its zippy graphics and jaunty music, it actually takes Blahnik seriously, and rightly so. Sure, there are plenty of headshots of famous fashionistas, from Vogue’s Anna Wintour and André Leon Talley to Rihanna and Karlie Kloss, hymning the perfection of his pumps, mules and kitten heels, but there’s also a proper appreciation of his craftsmanship, skill and depth of historical knowledge.
Blahnik is one of the last great hands-on designers who carves heels himself and sculpts the lasts (3D shoe templates) himself.

Amazon Studios, which is releasing about a film a month, led the fall season specialized release barrage with Mike White college comedy “Brad’s Status,” starring Ben Stiller. Annapurna’s second release scored $25,000 per theater in two cities for a credible start.
“Brad’s Status” was one of four Toronto International Film Festival 2017 titles released while the festival is wrapping up (compared to only one last year). The others include Darren Aronofsky’s “mother!” (Paramount), which flopped in wide release with $7.5 million and a rare F Cinemascore (they poll mass-audience theaters and the scores don’t reflect all reactions). Frederick Wiseman’s library documentary “Ex Libris” (Zipporah) got a decent result in its exclusive New York run, and Angelina Jolie’s “First They Killed My Father” debuted on Netflix along with a smattering of theatrical dates (grosses hidden per usual).

Manolo Blahnik, the world’s most famous shoe designer, sits at his desk, a little fussy and a little grouchy, next to a taxidermied alligator, sighs about the “nonsense” of spending two years making a documentary and, in voice over, describes director Michael Roberts as a “disaster.” But this film isn’t going to be a warts-and-all affair. Monstrous personalities are not on the menu of “Manolo: The Boy Who Made Shoes for Lizards,” and there is no enmity between the two men; it’s fashion writer Roberts’ first documentary feature, but he’s known Blahnik, his friend and subject,...

An affectionate and sometimes vibrantly imaginative biographical sketch, Manolo: The Boy Who Made Shoes for Lizards could have used more shoes and fewer people. (It has just the right quotient of lizards.) The usual assortment of high-fashion talking heads offer their recollections and tributes, with only a few comments rising memorably above the effusive but vague encomium. But when director Michael Roberts zeroes in on his subject's handcrafted footwear — shoes that Blahnik calls "creatures" and his admirers breathlessly call "Manolos" — the case for Manolo Blahnik's unparalleled artistry comes into focus.
