We told you earlier this year about Stiletto, an upcoming horror movie from director Samuel Gonzalez Jr. (The Retaliators) that’s being described as a throwback to the early slashers of the 1980s. We now have an exclusive first look at the film’s villain, “The Stiletto Killer.”
The killer’s mask was created by Jason Baker, famous for designing the mask that Ethan Hawke wore in The Black Phone, and owner of Callosum FX Studios, which is the creative brainchild of legendary special effects master Tom Savini and renowned artist and effects creator Jason Baker himself.
Baker tells Bloody Disgusting in a statement, “Creating the killer’s mask for Samuel Gonzalez Jr. & Gigi Gustin on Stiletto was an absolute blast. I personally drew so much inspiration from the script. The film is a morbidly beautiful mixture of beauty and carnage. And that was the mindset we used in the design.

We told you earlier this week about Stiletto, an upcoming horror movie from director Samuel Gonzalez Jr. (The Retaliators) that’s being described as a throwback to the early slashers of the 1980s. Bloody Disgusting has now exclusively learned that makeup effects legend Tom Savini and his creative partner Jason Baker designed the killer’s mask for the film!
The duo most recently designed the mask for Ethan Hawke’s sinister “The Grabber” in box office hit The Black Phone, which is getting a sequel from Blumhouse in Summer 2025.
Something elegant and terrifying at the same time.

Plot: After bailing on her wedding, a former bride-to-be must fight off her ex-groom and seven angry killer groomsmen in order to survive the night.
Review: I always love a good revenge story. Ever since Kill Bill, even having a character named The Bride automatically evokes the imagery of Uma Thurman in that yellow and black jumpsuit. So I went into Til Death Do Us Part expecting something with a lot of personality. Sure, it was never going to live up to the Tarantino classic but that’s okay. Few do. And while the characters don’t hit quite as hard as I’d have liked, there’s a fun mystery present that elevates the film. Because the question of why this woman ditched out on her wedding doesn’t have an answer that you may expect. And that’s why I ended up enjoying myself, despite its many flaws.

Stars: Cam Gigandet, Natalie Burn, Ser’Darius Blain, Jason Patric, Nicole Arlyn, Orlando Jones, Pancho Moler, D.Y. Sao | Written by Chad Law, Shane Dax Taylor | Directed by Timothy Woodward Jr.
As Til Death Do Us Part opens The Best Man sits in a pew working on his speech as upbeat music plays in the background. That’s followed by similar glimpses of other wedding party members prepping for the ceremony. A flashback to The Bride and Groom, nobody in this film has a name, on vacation serves to reinforce the happy image.
But Til Death Do Us Part isn’t a Hallmark Channel rom-com or Lifetime Channel thriller. Because when The Bride gets cold feet and bails on the wedding, we find out everyone involved in the ceremony is a highly skilled assassin. Now the stood-up Groom wants more than just his ring back, and their employer doesn’t take resignations well.

Love him or hate him, Rob Zombie has become one of the prominent and unique voices in the modern horror landscape. His style is immediately recognizable, his choices in aesthetics, casting, and music practically codified. I say this not to criticize Zombie; he’s one of my favorite current filmmakers, and I like or love nearly every single one of his movies.
With two of his films celebrating an anniversary this year – Lords of Salem turns 10, House of 1000 Corpses turns 20 – it seemed like the right time to revisit his filmmaking career so far.
Today we’re ranking Rob Zombie’s entire live action filmography to date…
8. 31 (2016)
If I’m being totally honest, this is the one movie on the list I’m not entirely crazy about because, after the relative box office disappointment of Zombie’s experimentation with The Lords of Salem, it feels like he retreated artistically back...

There’s something very interesting about the characters musician turned filmmaker Rob Zombie creates. If I’m being perfectly honest, the movie I was most anxious about for 2019 was Rob Zombie’s 3 From Hell. I’ve been a huge fan of Zombie’s for decades now, in terms of his music as well as his directorial efforts, and I consider The Devil’s Rejects to still be amongst the greatest horror movies we’ve seen in the last 15 years. So, how on earth does one even begin to follow up something like The Devil’s Rejects, which ended on such a pitch-perfect note? I wasn’t sure, but thankfully, Zombie seemed to have a few ideas, and we now get to enjoy another round of murder and mayhem with the gang in 3 From Hell.
And while it may not reach the same tension-fueled heights of Devil’s, or fully tap into the off-kilter anarchy on display in House of 1000 Corpses, 3 From Hell...

Bill Moseley’s career in horror has spanned decades, but he’ll probably always be best known as Otis B. Driftwood from the murderous Firefly family. The prolific actor first took on the iconic role in Rob Zombie’s House of 1,000 Corpses back in 2003. The directorial debut from the renowned musician quickly gained a cult following and led to the even more popular sequel The Devil’s Rejects.
The chaotic film stars Moseley as the most sadistic member of a depraved group of criminals who seem to enjoy nothing more than causing pain and destruction. Now, after many, many years, the Firefly family is finally back and ready to wreak more havoc on unsuspecting victims.

Nearly 15 years after the release of The Devil’s Rejects, writer/director Rob Zombie has resurrected the Firefly clan for the highly anticipated sequel, 3 From Hell, which follows Otis (Bill Moseley), Baby (Sheri Moon Zombie), and Captain Spaulding (Sid Haig) after their bloody standoff with police, as they’re held accountable for their heinous crimes and are sentenced to live out the rest of their days behind bars. Because this is the Firefly family that we’re talking about, they eventually make their escape from prison, but as they make plans for their futures, they're unaware that vengeance is hot on their trail, and there are forces out there who want to make them pay for their murderous misdeeds.

We’ve got a trailer for a new indie Halloween-themed horror film for you to check out today called Candy Corn. I like the creepy vibe of the film as it tells the tale of a group of freaks who are out for blood and revenge in a small town during the Season of the Witch.
Here’s the film’s official synopsis:
It’s the eve of Halloween in Grove Hill, Ohio. A traveling carnival is in town for the weekend and local outcast, Jacob Atkins, has been hired as one of the freaks in the event’s main attraction, “Dr. Death’s Side Show Spook House Spectacular.” Meanwhile, a group of local bullies are planning their annual public hazing of Jacob, but this year, things go too far.
I enjoy these kinds of horror movies that are set during Halloween. I just love the season and everything that goes with it,...

Rob Zombie's Firefly family returns for a real day of the dead in the 3 From Hell trailer.
Free the three! Now we can have a real day of the dead. Just when you thought there was no justice in this world, the first full-length 3 From Hell trailer promises a bloodbath and a devil of a time. The odds were a million to one against Capt. Spaulding (Sid Haig), Otis Firefly (Bill Moseley), and Vera-Ellen "Baby" Firefly (Sheri Moon Zombie) surviving their standoff with the police at their last rampage, but with a little faith, nothing is impossible.
3 From Hell is a family movie. The Firefly family has a deadly tradition going back to 2003, with Rob Zombie's directorial debut House of 1000 Corpses making way for the 2005 sequel The Devil's Rejects. Written and directed by Rob Zombie, the trilogy tells the story of Dr. Satan and his merry band of murderous misfits.

"Now we can have a real 'Day of the Dead.'" First there was House of 1000 Corpses. Then there was The Devil's Rejects. Now, from writer/director Rob Zombie comes the next blood-soaked chapter in the most violent crime saga in history... 3 from Hell. Get ready for more horror carnage!! Captain Spaulding played by Sid Haig, Otis played by Bill Moseley, and Baby played by Sheri Moon Zombie will all be "returning from the dead in 3 From Hell, after being shot hundreds of times in the final moments of Rejects." We still don't know much about what is going on in this sequel, but it looks gnarly - Rob Zombie letting loose again, topping himself with more violence. The film's full cast includes Richard Brake, Danny Trejo, Kevin Jackson, Wade Williams, Jeff Daniel Phillips, Clint Howard, Pancho Moler, Daniel Roebuck, Emilio Rivera, Austin Stoker, Dot-Marie Jones, and Tom Papa.

Rob Zombie has officially blown the lid off 3 From Hell, and we couldn’t be more excited.
Kicking off the week in style, Zombie sent horror fans into a tizzy just yesterday with the delightfully gruesome teaser trailer, which offered a sneak peek into the twisted world of his follow-up to The Devil’s Rejects. And though many are already sold on the idea of 3 From Hell, the musician-cum-filmmaker has since announced that a new, extended preview will be released next month – just in time for the film’s theatrical release in September.
That’s right; we can expect 3 From Hell to hit the big screen in three months’ time, by which point we should have a better understanding of Zombie’s master plan for Captain Spaulding (Sid Haig), Otis (Bill Moseley), and Baby (Sheri Moon Zombie).
Here’s a little status report, courtesy of the director’s Facebook...

"I suggest you get ready to burn." They're back for more! Horror filmmaker Rob Zombie revealed the first official teaser trailer for his next film, titled 3 From Hell, and it's now available to view (in high def) below. 3 From Hell is a sequel to Rob Zombie's first two movies - House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects. We've received word that Candy Corn, from Josh Hasty, has been picked up by Epic Pictures and will be distributed through their Dread label. A fall theatrical release is planned for the Us, while the movie is being taken to Cannes next week to seek international distribution. Here's what Josh Hasty had to say about his project being acquired:
"For the last three years of my life Candy Corn has been a labor of love that’s consumed my every waking moment. I had the most incredible team of filmmakers that stood behind my ambitious goals through a very trying and stressful production. When you spend this much time with something you had to consistently keep alive against all odds, the thought of handing it off to a distributor can be horrifying.

It was only a matter of time before someone named a horror movie after FrightFest. Unfortunately, this dismal effort (also known as American Fright Fest) from director Anton Novakovic isn’t worthy of the festival that bears its name. In fact, it’s so bad that it makes the similarly themed, similarly titled and similarly not very good Blood Fest (also released this year) look like a masterpiece by comparison.
Set in smalltown Somerton, Pennsylvania (“The safest small town in America”), Fright Fest centres on washed up, drug-crazed horror director Spencer Crowe (Dylan Walsh), who’s hired to create a live action Halloween event by vote-hungry Mayor Fowler. Just when you think Rob Zombie has completed his casting spree for 3 From Hell – which, for those who don’t know, is the in-development sequel to The Devil’s Rejects – he adds yet another familiar face. This time, it’s Richard Riehle, who you may recognize from his role as Jim Permatteo in Hatchet but who’s also worked with Zombie on Halloween II, where he played Buddy the Night Watchman.
And so, following the back-to-back addition of Pancho Moler (31) and Machete star Danny Trejo, 3 From Hell‘s casting docket is now full – or so it seems – boasting Riehle, Clint Howard, whose Mr. Baggy Britches is all set to become the second tortured clown of Ruggsville, Austin Stoker (Assault on Precinct 13), Dee Wallace (The Howling, Cujo), Jeff Daniel Phillips (Halloween II), Dot-Marie Jones (American Horror Story) and Tom Papa, (who’s perhaps best known as El Superbeasto). If there’s been one common denominator of Rob Zombie’s 3 From Hell casting spree, it’s that the filmmaker has cherry-picked his cast from a pool of frequent collaborators, given the horror threequel has opened its doors to Sid Haig and Bill Moseley and everyone in between.
But thanks to the director’s lively Instagram feed, today brings word of a genuine newcomer: Richard Edson, the genre veteran best known for his performances across Strange Days, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and Vietnam war drama, Platoon.
Further character details weren’t disclosed at the time of writing – ditto for all of 3 From Hell‘s other fresh faces – though we understand Edson will bear witness to the resurrection of Captain Spaulding (Sid Haig), Otis (Bill Moseley) and Baby (Sheri Moon Zombie), the Firefly Family of House of 1,000 Corpses and The Devil’s Rejects.

When it comes to Rob Zombie as a filmmaker I’ll admit I have something of a soft spot for his work. He knows his horror and never bows down for the constant calls to conform to the politically correct society that seems to dominate the entertainment world now. With the release of 31, the question is, has he managed to pull off another The Devil’s Rejects or is this more of a Halloween 2?
The first thing you’ll notice with the story of 31 is that it is in very familiar territory. A group of carnival employees (including of course Sheri Moon Zombie) are travelling cross-country on Halloween. They are soon kidnapped and are entered into...

Immediately after my 31 screening, Rob Zombie revealed how it only took a matter of seconds for his film’s wicked competition to materialize as an idea. This explains the chewy, undercooked nature of Zombie’s The Most Dangerous Game homage, which delivers buckets of grossness and a story that lacks a single spec of conviction. It’s death for death’s sake if you will, perverted by misogyny and told through rotting teeth. No one is safe, nothing is a sacred and life is belittled by Zombie’s bleakest endeavor yet, which is far from a pulpy-but-still-kinda-fun grindhouse experience. Think characters you don’t care about being hunted by villains you don’t understand – hate both the player and the game, you won’t be the only one.
