In 1983 after she took Hindi lessons, director K. Vishwanath relaunched her in Hindi films, with Kaamchor where she spoke Hindi fluently for the first time.
She is hailed as one of the most iconic, influential and highest paid actresses in both Telugu and Hindi film industries in late 70s, 80s and early 90s.
Jaya Prada was highest paid Hindi actress from 1985-89 with Sridevi and 3rd highest paid Hindi actress with Rekha from 1990-92 and 3rd highest paid actress along-with Parveen Babi in 1982-84.
Jaya Prada is the recipient of three Filmfare Awards South and has starred in many Telugu and Hindi films along with several Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali and Marathi films.
Jaya Prada was paired opposite Jeetendra in 25 films and 19 of them were Hits ie 76% Success ratio. It is a rare Record for any pair in Bollywood.
