They are generally pessimistic visions and show man's unpreparedness to deal with natural disasters and their insignificance towards nature. These visions make us reflect on the origin, the meaning and the future of the human race. Despite some distorted views, some scenarios are interesting for us to meditate on the existence of a Creator who has protected and guarded the human race and prevented its self-destruction. If man is really alone the prospects for the future they are dark and lead us surely to extinction.
