Du skal ære din hustru (1925)
Magnificent!
One of the best silent films I've seen, Dreyer was truly a master of cinema and this movie is a great example of his brilliance. Excellent script, kept me interested all-around. Stellar performances by pretty much the whole cast, especially Mathilde Nielsen that assumed the role of the nanny, "Mads". Her face expression shifts were outstanding. Astrid Holm was also astounding as the mistreated wife, so kind and beautiful. Most of the plot happens in one house, and the movie's simplicity is one of its finest traits. Movie explores moral values in family and does an astonishing job at that. I loved the occasional shift from sad to funny, a couple of hilarious one-liners. At the end of this review I'd like to add that the musical score is also first-rate. Highly recommended!
The Lodger: A Story of the London Fog (1927)
Remarkable!
Hitchcock is a master of cinema, his movies never let me down. I was sure this one won't either, but I didn't expect very much since it is one of his earlier movies.
Well, I'm glad to say that not only was it great, but astonishing, blew all my expectations. It has delightful camera work, enchanting musical score and intriguing story.
I loved the chemistry between the two leads. From the name of the movie, I didn't expect anything with romance in it. To top it off it has a nice surprise ending. Highly recommended!

Dreyer is one of my favorite directors and his debut is one of the best debuts I've seen. The story is captivating, sometimes pretty brutal. Genuine tear-jerker.

Nattvardsgästerna (1963)
Amazing movie!
As gloomy as can be, extremely touching cinema, gives you a lot to think about afterwards. Astounding cinematography, Sven Nykvist proves himself to be a master. Highly recommended.
Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer (1986)
Highly disturbing!
When I saw Cannibal Holocaust, I thought that I'd never see a more disturbing movie. Than I saw Pasolini's Salò and it took that spot. Today I saw this movie and it blew my mind. So harrowing, depressing. All in all, it took Salò's place mainly because of the realism, no Nazi libertines, just people who had bad childhood. Highly recommended!
Körkarlen (1921)
