Perhaps in fear that it would be overshadowed by a little-known Marvel property called Avengers: Infinity War, it seems Universal quietly scrapped plans to unveil the first trailer for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom on Thursday evening.
Earlier this week, we caught wind of the studio’s timeline, after Trailer Track unearthed a now-pulled teaser that suggested Fallen Kingdom‘s inaugural preview would drop during the Cowboys vs. Redskins NFL game. Now, as we approach the week’s end, there’s still no sign of Universal’s premiere. But a trailer is coming – and soon, according to director Juan Antonio Bayona.
Via Twitter, the Spanish filmmaker has now posted a screengrab of the iconic MPAA splash screen, along with the caption, “almost there.” Surely it’s only a matter of days before Universal blows the lid off Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom? We’ll be a keeping a close eye on the...

Jenna Jameson‘s new little one is here!
The 42-year-old star welcomed her third child, a daughter, on Thursday, April 6, with fiancé Lior Bitton.
“I am so proud to introduce everyone to my newborn daughter! Her name is Batel Lu Bitton,” Jameson captioned a Friday Instagram snap of her new baby girl snoozing against her mom’s chest. “She was born at 8lbs exactly and 21 inches long. She is so calm and graceful it’s hard to look at her not feel overwhelmed.”
“I had a very long labor (12 hours) and pushed for an intense 22 minutes,” the new mom continued.

‘La La Land’ (Courtesy: Lionsgate)
By: Carson Blackwelder
Managing Editor
If you’ve been paying attention to the 2017 Oscars race, you’ve likely heard of a little movie titled La La Land. The Damien Chazelle-directed romantic musical features numerous tunes throughout but Lionsgate is pushing hard for just two — “City of Stars” and “Audition” — in the best original song category. One question remains: does having multiple pieces nominated help or hurt a film? Let’s take a look back at what history seems to indicate.
La La Land — while likely a frontrunner for many categories at the upcoming Academy Awards, even the coveted best picture — we’re going to be focusing on the musical side. Both of the film’s stars, Ryan Gosling (jazz musician Sebastian) and Emma Stone (aspiring actress Mia), lent their vocal chops to these two numbers with him owning most of “City of Stars” and her dominating in “Audition.

Foreign, domestic, independent, big budget: What better way to hone your skills as a thoughtful moviegoer than by deconstructing these little pieces of advertising? This week […]

If you've never heard of Kartemquin Films, that's okay. Although they've been around for half a century, and they produced such classics as Hoop Dreams, as well as one of the most acclaimed releases of 2015, Almost There, they aren't a household name unless your household is filled with documentary filmmakers and fans. It's also okay because you now have a good reason to make it up to them and become acquainted with their work: they're streaming all their films online for free. Not all at the same time, however, and not for very long. Instead, every week this year, in celebration of Kartemquin's 50th birthday, the Chicago-based company is debuting another of their documentaries, in chronological order starting with the recently restored...
