Bill Skarsgård, known for enticing viewers with his chilling performance in It, continued to exhibit his remarkable versatility with a recent string of compelling roles. In 2022, he enthralled us as Keith in Zach Cregger’s Barbarian and seamlessly stepped into the shoes of a villain in Chad Stahelski’s John Wick: Chapter 4.
With a mastery that thrills, the actor, 33, then carried the action-packed narrative in Moritz Mohr’s Boy Kills World. Now, Skarsgård is set to dazzle us once again as he embodies the enigmatic Count Orlok in Robert Eggers’ highly anticipated gothic horror, Nosferatu. This is not all; the actor will soon grace our screens as the iconic antihero in the upcoming reboot of The Crow, releasing in a couple of months.

The very idea of a new version of The Crow sparked plenty of outrage online, with fans of the Brandon Lee original saying no one could possibly replace him. Things only got worse when images of Bill Skarsgård as Eric Draven dropped, prompting negative responses from fans and even the original’s director, Alex Proyas. As we await The Crow’s August release, Skarsgård himself has his own thoughts on the movie…and they’re not exactly positive, either.
In a new profile in Esquire, Bill Skarsgård said that the ending of The Crow is far from satisfying, declaring, “I personally preferred something more definitive.” This would suggest that Rupert Sanders’ movie teases something more open-ended, quite possibly attempting to set up a sequel to fully reboot the franchise. Did Sanders not see the other Crow movies…?

When The Crow emerged thirty years ago, it changed how audiences could perceive graphic novel adaptations. It was dark, gritty, violent, and well ahead of its time. On top of that, it had one of the best soundtracks of the decade. However, it also spawned some pretty bad sequels. After the release of the last one two decades ago, it seemed just as long for a remake of the original to come to fruition, with multiple actors and directors coming and going. Finally, after all that time, we got to see exactly what The Crow would look like in 2024. The reactions have been, well, let’s just say a little more less than enthused. But what if I told you there was one you probably forgot about? One that has the most bonkers casting out of the entire franchise. One that misses the mark by such a wide margin that...

It’s been a long time coming, but a remake of the 1994 film The Crow (which was based on the comic book series created by James O’Barr) will finally be making its way out into the world on August 23rd, which is when Lionsgate will be giving the film a theatrical release. With that release date swiftly approaching, we figured we should gather together all the information we have on this movie… and here it is, Everything We Know About The Crow Remake:
Development Hell
When the original The Crow was released, it was successful enough to spawn a franchise, with three sequels following over the next eleven years. We got The Crow: City of Angels in 1996, The Crow: Salvation in 2000, and The Crow: Wicked Prayer in 2005, with several other potential sequels (including one that would have been written and directed by Rob Zombie) being developed and scrapped along the way.

Brandon Lee’s The Crow is considered a cult classic today, but the film was plagued with massive problems starting with the tragic death of the lead star in the middle of filming. Lee’s unfortunate demise was caused by an accidental firing of a gun which had a routine dummy bullet that unfortunately ended up killing him.

This horrific incident ultimately led to a domino effect of troubles which included finding a replacement for the lead actor to complete the film. This disaster on set prompted Hollywood director Chad Stahelski to take major precautions while handling firearms in his blockbuster film John Wick. The former stuntman also exposed the uncomfortable truth behind the use of guns in the industry.
How Brandon Lee‘s Death Influenced Chad Stahelski
While any form of death is tragic, the worst kinds are the ones that could have easily been avoided.

Rob Zombie has said that for every one film project of his that moves forward, there are five potential projects that fall by the wayside. We haven’t heard of quite that many unmade Rob Zombie movies, but we have heard of several over the years that never got off the ground… and unfortunately, most of them sounded pretty interesting. A little over a year ago, Zombie had said he didn’t know what his next movie is going to be, but he did know what it’s not going to be: he won’t be continuing his Firefly franchise, and he doesn’t want to make a sequel to The Munsters (which was poorly received). So while he figures out his next cinematic move, we we have put together a list of Rob Zombie Movies We Want To See!

This June, a long-gestating remake of the 1994 Brandon Lee comic book film “The Crow” will finally be released following various false starts over the years with versions meant to star actors like Jack Huston and Jason Momoa. The Rupert Sanders-directed (“Ghost In The Shell”) version stars rising actor Bill Skarsgård (the spitting image of the original artwork from James O’Barr’s comic book) as a new take on the undead vigilante Eric Draven.

One could say that the reboot of The Crow (1994) was simply cursed. Going through ups and downs ever since its announcement, no one knew if the film would even come to fruition. However, after years and years of setbacks, the reboot will finally be released this year, albeit without Jason Momoa. Actor Jason Momoa was all set to play the lead in the reboot, which he stated was his dream role.

The protagonist of the comic book-based The Crow saga, Eric Draven is one of the most iconic fictional antiheroes of all time. Created by James O’Barr back in 1989, he was initially played by the late Brandon Lee in the 1994 film of the same name, which became a massive cult classic.
Over the years, it spawned three more installments in the film series till 2005. But then the franchise was once again announced to be resurrected in 2008, and Jason Momoa became the final contender to play the lead in the remake by 2016.

The Crow, the forthcoming movie directed by Rupert Sanders, has been the talk of the town since its announcement in 2022. The action-thriller is a reimagining of the same-titled 1994 Alex Proyas film, featuring Brandon Lee in the lead role. With its top-notch cast and storytelling, the $94 million movie was a huge box-office success and struck a chord with the audience. Now the official trailer for Bill Skarsgård’s upcoming flick has further piqued the viewer’s interest.
However, some of the most disturbing information regarding the movie—which will hit theaters on June 7—has just recently come to light. In just one day, the trailer garnered a whopping 53,000 dislikes on YouTube, in contrast to just 42,000 likes. Bill Skarsgård, son of Swedish actor Stellan Skarsgård, has proven his talent as an actor with his performance in numerous projects. He made his first professional notable appearance as an actor in the lead role of the Swedish movie Simple Simon, released in 2011. His acting proficiency won him the European Film Academy’s Shooting Stars Award in 2012 when he was only 21 years old.
Different people have different talents. Although Skarsgård’s talent is undoubtedly acting, some might argue that he is good at it because it is in his blood since he is Stellan Skarsgård’s son. However, if there is one thing that remains undisputed about the actor, it is that he specializes in the horror genre.

In fact, Wahlberg revealed how his first meeting with Leonardo DiCaprio turned out, which is certainly worth making a film about.

Mark Wahlberg is famous for quite a few films such as Ted, Mile 22, Planet of The Apes and so many more. Nevertheless, he is more known for his comedy roles right now and perhaps that’s for his best as well.

Bill Skarsgård’s upcoming film, The Crow, just released its trailer, and unfortunately, the response from the audience seems to lean more toward the negative than the positive. The film is a remake of a 1994 film of the same name, which happened to be one of the most beloved and iconic movies of all time.
Bill Skarsgård’s The Crow
The story is quite interesting, following Eric Draven and his fiance, who are brutally murdered. Mysteriously, a crow helps him return from the dead. However, he comes back a vengeful man and now will stop at nothing to get his revenge.

The comic book "The Crow," created by James O'Barr in 1989, should be considered a seminal work in the then-growing Goth movement. The comics were about a man named Eric who was engaged to a woman named Shelly. One evening, Eric and Shelly are savagely beaten and assaulted. Eric is shot in the head but remains alive long enough to witness Shelly's horrible murder.
His story doesn't end there. The titular Crow appears over Eric's body and magically resurrects him, sending him on a quest for blood revenge. The unspeaking crow seems to want Eric to kill the punks that murdered Shelly, but also seemingly chastises him for brooding and remaining hung up on Shelly's death. Be angry, brood, but do not brood, and do not be angry. It's super-Goth. The comic was popular enough to warrant a celebrated film adaptation in 1994 starring Brandon Lee and directed by Alex Proyas. The film was ultra-stylized,...

“I killed you,” says a man. “Yeah, you did,” says the Crow, played by Bill Skarsgård, as he cocks a gun at the man’s head in the trailer for the upcoming remake of the phantasmagoric revenge movie from 1994.
A trailer for The Crow, due out this summer, shows Skarsgård in the role of Eric Draven, a restless spirit hellbent (literally) on avenging his own death, as well as that of his lover, Shelley Webster, played by FKA Twigs.

Based on the comic book series created by James O’Barr, the first version of The Crow was released in 1994 and told the tragic story of goth rocker Eric Draven and the love of his life, Shelly Webster. Later this year, we’ll be getting a remake of The Crow, with the story of Eric and Shelly being told all over again. It seems kind of strange to do a remake and revisit characters in a franchise that lends itself to the anthology format, where each film can be focused on a different vengeful, undead person… but it does make business sense, because The Crow remake is getting more attention than the three Crow sequels ever got. But those Crow sequels do have their fans, and Scream Factory is about to celebrate one of them – The Crow: Salvation from 2000 – with a limited edition Blu-ray release on March 26th.

Lionsgate has debuted the trailer for Rupert Sanders’ remake of “The Crow,” starring Bill Skarsgård and FKA Twigs. The film is set for release on June 7.
Both the 1994 version starring the late Brandon Lee and the upcoming remake are based on the graphic novel by James O’Barr. In Sanders’ iteration, Skarsgård plays Eric Draven, who is killed alongside his girlfriend Shelly (FKA Twigs). In a limbo between life and death, Eric makes it his mission to avenge their murders.
The new trailer shows Eric come back from the dead to get his bloody revenge. Alive once more, he’s imbued with supernatural powers and can withstand gunshots, shotgun blasts and stabbings. The anti-hero goes down a dark path to avenge Shelly’s death at the hands of their mysterious killers. The trailer shows a montage of brutal violence, including a scene where Eric shoots through his own chest to take down a surprise attacker,...

It may be downright difficult to believe, but "The Crow" remake has finally happened. Yes, happened, not happening, as had been promised for so long. Lionsgate has now dropped the first trailer for the long-awaited new adaptation of the comic book by James O'Barr. After all these years, we are, at long last, going to see what Eric Draven looks like in a modern context a full 30 years after the first film arrived in 1994. Check it out for yourself above.
This time around, it's Bill Skarsgård, best known for his role as Pennywise the clown in the "It" movies, taking on the role of Eric Draven. Noticeably, his look is, well, different than what we've seen previously, most notably when the late Brandon Lee originated the role in director Alex Proyas' version of "The Crow." Whether that look is better or worse is a matter left to individual opinion, but...

FromSoftware is at the top of its game nowadays; everywhere you go, there’s someone talking about them. It makes sense too; the developer has worked from nothing to what it has become today. It’s a real Rags to Riches story; they have gone from making obscure Mech combat games and super-hard medieval fantasy games to Elden Ring. And it does not look like they have any intention to stop.
There’s much that FromSoftware has achieved since 2009, when they launched their first soulslike Demon Souls. They have given the world a whole new genre, and they have also pushed it to the limits by combining that genre with an open-world formula. But some of its fans are stuck on one game to this date, a game that even director Hidetaka Miyazaki fails to forget.

If you're an Og comic book fan and one of the lucky people born in the 1900s, you likely remember the frenzy revolving around the '94 film adaptation of the comic book The Crow, starring Brandon Lee.

The Crow is receiving a 2000s remake with a new face behind the supernatural being and an extended plotline suited to the current century. Here's everything we know about the 2024 version of The Crow.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has been released for over a month and fan opinions are split in the middle, while the graphics make it look like a next-gen triple-a game, the story and repetitive gameplay, however, were a major downgrade from the previous Batman Arkham series also made by the same developer, Rocksteady Studios.
While the premise was quite promising having to control anti-heroes and fight against major characters like Batman and Superman, the optional co-op provided by the live-service aspect, bugs, and other issues held it back.

The way the Suicide Squad handled the League was confusing and ridiculous.

In the recent past, we have seen a lot of remakes of many original cult-classic films from the 21st century but most of them have ended up being a massive failure. It seems like a remake of Brandon Lee’s iconic, The Crow movie is all set to meet a similar fate after we saw the first look of Bill Skarsgård’s portrayal of Eric Draven.

Whether you consider The Crow: City of Angels cursed or simply made in bad taste by a studio (Dimension Films) that couldn’t care less, a rewatch more than twenty years later is a real eye-opener in terms of the film as a standalone experience.
I remember being a kid who thought Brandon Lee as The Crow was one of the coolest things I’d ever witnessed in my life. For the record, I still feel that way. For years we donned black and white face makeup on Halloween night. Hell, the wrestler Sting is still doing it. I don’t know how adults reacted to The Crow at the time but I know us eleven-year-olds were rocked by it.
I bring this up because two years later I would leave the theater immensely bummed out after witnessing The Crow: City of Angels.

Ballerina is departing 2024, with the John Wick spinoff now opening June 6, 2025. In a twinned move, The Crow will fly into Ballerina‘s previous date of June 7, 2024.
The year-long delay for Ballerina is sure to turn heads, but Lionsgate insiders say it is because the film will be filming additional action sequences under the guiding hand of director Chad Stahelski, the mastermind behind the John Wick franchise. He will be working closely with Ballerina director Len Wiseman on the sequences. The studio feels that because its upcoming The Crow film is ready for theaters, it does not need to rush Ballerina into cinemas if they can make it better.
Ballerina stars Ana de Armas star as an assassin trained in the traditions of the Ruska Roma. The film also stars Anjelica Huston, Gabriel Byrne, the late Lance Reddick, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Norman Reedus, with Ian McShane and Wick lead Keanu Reeves also among the cast.

We recently heard that Lionsgate has picked up the distribution rights to the reboot of the classic film The Crow (get it Here), which was released by Miramax back in 1994. Before Miramax acquired it, The Crow had originally been set up at Paramount. They decided to let go of it due to the controversy surrounding the on-set death of star Brandon Lee and the amount of violence in the film. So when Paramount acquired Miramax back in 2020, gaining the rights to The Crow in the process, it was like the film had gone full circle. It came back to Paramount. Recently, cinematographer Dariusz Wolski, mentioned a 4K restoration of The Crow would be on the Paramount Plus streaming service soon. While it hasn’t hit streaming yet, Blu-Ray.com announced that the 4K Blu-ray is set to come out on May 7th to mark the film’s 30th anniversary.

Movies are one of the most common forms of entertainment nowadays. However, the audience is rarely aware of how difficult the process of making a movie is, and it can potentially even endanger the people present on the movie set. Although the action sequences and stunts are usually done by trained professionals, and the studios assure us of good security measures on movie sets, the accidents are still happening, unfortunately.
In the history of Hollywood, many movies remained infamously known for tragedies and unfortunate situations that happened on the movie set. We still remember when Brandon Lee was fatally wounded while filming ‘Crow’ back in 1993. Joi Harris, a stuntwoman, tragically died while performing a motorcycle stunt while filming ‘Deadpool 2,’ and let’s not forget the most recent tragic event when Halyna Hutchins, a cinematographer, was shot dead by a prop gun on the set of ‘Rust.’

McAvoy is familiar with starring in films based on comic book properties. He’s well-known for portraying the iconic Professor X in the rebooted X-Men franchise for instance. But before X-Men, he starred in another comic book adaptation by lending his talents to Wanted. The movie saw him starring alongside Angelina Jolie as an office worker who discovers he’s the son of a super-assassin.
It was a film he’d gotten the traditional way through auditioning. But McAvoy wasn’t sure for the longest time that he’d landed the gig.
