‘Avengers: Endgame’ was released 5 years ago, it was the biggest MCU event to date which left fans delighted but also heartbroken, since Iron Man ultimately lost his life to defeat Thanos once and for all.
Ever since Iron Man died, fans have been holding out hope that he is not truly gone, especially if we take into account that we are currently in the Multiverse Saga. However, Feige commented on quite a few occasions that Iron Man’s return is absolutely out of the question and his death won’t be touched since it would undo most of the emotional impact that ‘Endgame’ had on fans.
Recently, Robert Downey Jr. talked about his possible return to the MCU. He commented how he would gladly return since the role is integral to his DNA. This left some fans both confused and hopeful, especially since a good chunk of fandom believes that...

Since his demise, fans have clung to the hope that he might return, especially with the Multiverse Saga unfolding. However, Feige has repeatedly stated that Iron Man won’t be making a comeback, as it would diminish the emotional impact of ‘Endgame.’
Robert Downey Jr. recently discussed the possibility of coming back to the MCU, expressing his willingness as the role is deeply ingrained in him. This stirred a mix of confusion and hope among fans, especially since many believe Iron Man could help steer the MCU’s current direction. In 2022, Netflix released The Grey Man, an action thriller film starring Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Jessica Henwick, Regé-Jean Page, Wagner Moura, Julia Butters, Dhanush (in his Hollywood debut), Alfre Woodard, and Billy Bob Thornton. The movie received mixed reviews, with critics praising the cast and action but criticizing the “clichéd script.” The movie was directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, with Joe Russo contributing to the script alongside Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.
But, despite the mixed reviews, Netflix was seemingly satisfied with the movie as a sequel was ordered, and based on what the Russo Brothers recently said, The Grey Man sequel seems to be their top priority at this moment, although they do have a lot of upcoming projects.

"No amount of money ever bought a second of time." Those are the words uttered by Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark in "Avengers: Endgame" during a pivotal scene after he traveled back in time to save the world, only to run into his own father. It's true, money can't buy time. But in 2019, audiences shelled out money in record-breaking amounts to spend lots of time in movie theaters all around the world to see the conclusion to the Marvel Cinematic Universe up to that point. Money, in this case, bought something like 10,800 seconds of shared experience the likes of which hasn't been seen before or since.

Anthony and Joe Russo seem to think that the chapter on Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man is closed after his heroic sacrifice in Avengers: Endgame. When they learned that Downey Jr. hinted at his potential return to the MCU role, they were confused by the idea. The Gray Man directors revealed that they have no clue about how the cinematic universe would bring back the character.

With Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame being such box office successes, many fans assumed that the Russo Brothers (Anthony and Joe Russo) would return to direct Avengers: Secret Wars. But in the years that followed, a lot changed.
During that period, the Russo Brothers helmed a few flicks through their Agbo company. Among them are the crime drama Cherry, starring Tom Holland and Ciara Bravo, and the action thriller The Gray Man, featuring Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans.

Some people conjectured that the brothers might choose to return to Marvel following The Gray Man’s failure and Cherry’s comparatively unimpressive reception. However, in a recent interview, Anthony and Joe Russo stated adamantly that they are ready to move on from playing in someone’s franchise sandbox and instead focus on developing their own original franchises.

After creating the heartbreaking yet truly magnificent exit of Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man from the Marvel Cinematic Universe via Avengers: Endgame, the Russo Brothers — Joe Russo and Anthony Russo — are all set to bring new action to the screens. And this time, this peak entertainment would not be through Rdj or the MCU, but rather, ostensibly through Chris Evans and Ryan Gosling.

As it turns out, the dynamic duo recently hinted at wanting to work with Evans and Gosling once again. The project they would be collaborating on is the sequel to the masterpiece from 2022, The Gray Man. But that’s not all because Evans isn’t the only Chris the mastermind filmmakers are looking forward to working with: They also want Chris Hemsworth to reprise his iconic role!

Hollywood star Robert Downey Jr. has expressed interest in reprising his role as Iron Man.
However, there is one problem, the character died at the end of ‘Avengers: Endgame’.
Speaking with GamesRadar at the Sands: International Film Festival, the film’s directors, Joe and Anthony Russo, seemed baffled at the notion of a Downey return.
“I don’t know how they would do it. I don’t know what the road to that would be,” Anthony Russo told GamesRadar, reports deadline.com.
“I mean, we closed that book, so it would be up to them to figure out how to reopen it,” Joe Russo added.
Marvel head Kevin Feige refuted the claim that it was mulling over bringing Iron Man back.
He had earlier said Marvel Studios could not “magically undo” Tony Stark’s death in ‘Avengers: Endgame’.

The Russo Brothers are one of Hollywood’s busiest duos in an industry that moves at the speed of light. With an alarming amount of projects heaped onto their respective plates, two stand out among the crowd for action fans: Extraction 3 and The Gray Man 2.
Speaking with GamesRadar+ at the Sands: International Film Festival in St. Andrews, Scotland, the Russos said The Gray Man 2 is actively developing. The 2022 original starred Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans as a skilled CIA operative (Gosling) and a psychotic former colleague (Evans) who triggered a global manhunt led by international assassins. Despite getting the shaft from critics, casual audiences loved watching two of Hollywood’s biggest stars square off against one another while explosions light their destructive path.

The recent ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ trailer has been released, showcasing nods to comic storylines and numerous cameos set to appear in the movie.
The film follows Deadpool as he returns to his crime-fighting ways after being recruited by the Tva to prevent his reality from collapsing. Wade tries to convince Wolverine to join him, but judging by the trailer, Wolverine is hesitant. The movie will introduce Cassandra Nova as the main villain, and continue the Multiversal Theme of the MCU.
The movie supposedly occurs in the Void, a realm outside space and time introduced in the ‘Loki’ series. Among various references and Easter eggs, fans have noticed another recurring issue – this marks the eighth movie to overlook a glaring omission: the massive Celestial hand protruding from the planet.
Marvel has faced criticism for repeatedly ignoring the fate of the Celestial Tiamut, which was destroyed and trapped in the ocean in the 2021 film ‘Eternals.

‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ trailer recently dropped, and we’ve seen everything from nods to comic storylines to an overwhelming amount of cameos about to appear in the movie.
The movie sees Deadpool as he is set to return to his crime-fighting tendencies after he is recruited by the Tva to stop his reality from collapsing. Wade will attempt to talk Wolverine into helping him, but judging by the trailer Wolverine will be more than reluctant. The movie will introduce Cassandra Nova to the MCU as the primary villain as well as continue the Multiversal Theme of the MCU.
The movie apparently takes place in the Void, a realm outside of space and time introduced in the ‘Loki’ series, and among other references and easter eggs, fans noticed one more thing – this is the eighth movie not to address the giant, literally giant elephant in the room – massive Celestial hand sticking out the planet.

Being the threequel in the Deadpool film series and the sole MCU release for the year, there has been significant anticipation surrounding Deadpool & Wolverine. However, despite the anticipation, fans are expressing dissatisfaction with the upcoming Marvel film for overlooking a significant aspect of the MCU.

Marvel has consistently ignored the fate of the Celestial Tiamut, destroyed and trapped in the ocean in the 2021 film. Despite the massive celestial body protruding from the ocean, it has received little mention in the previous films, leading to fan dissatisfaction with the studio’s persistent neglect of this aspect of the franchise.

The scars given by Avengers: Endgame will not heal for a long time to come. Not only did we lose Black Widow and Iron Man to the ultimate sacrifice, but things went downhill for the Marvel Cinematic Universe soon after. Regardless, the film is one of the finest to exist in the superhero universe and its ending is going to stay with the fans forever.
Black Widow’s sacrifice in Avengers: Endgame
However, there was a slight chance that Avengers: Endgame would have been even more devastating than it was. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige had initially pitched to kill off all the original Avengers and not just Black Widow and Iron Man. The ‘unremarkable sequel’ was something the Marvel Cinematic Universe found difficult to shake off in its initial phases. Thinking back to films like Iron Man 2 and Thor: The Dark World could bring back memories of botched character arcs and poor commercial and critical scores. However, all that changed when Anthony and Joe Russo presented their Captain America sequel to the world, leaving the MCU worse than they found it if recent criticisms are to be believed.
Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson in Captain America: The Winter Soldier
By no means is Captain America: The Winter Soldier, now 10 years old, a bad film. Not only did the film break the sequel curse for the MCU, but it was also a solidly directed film, with an airtight script and a characterization of Captain America that changed a lot of people’s perspective of the character, especially after his outings in Captain America: The First Avenger...

Described as “Indian John Wick,” the action-thriller film follows the story of a young underground fighter who goes on a rampage against the city’s elite to avenge the injustices done by them to his mother and village. Monkey Man also stars Sobhita Dhulipala, Sikandar Kher, Adithi Kalkunte, Makarand Deshpande, Sharlto Copley, Brahim Achabbakhe, Ashwini Kalshekar, Pitobash Tripathy, and Vipin Sharma. So, if you loved the action and heartfelt story told in Monkey Man by the first passionate first-time director Dev Patel, here are some similar movies you should check out next.

It’s been a decade since Chris Evans’ Captain America: The Winter Soldier hit theatres and turned into a major success. Helmed by Joe and Anthony Russo, the MCU movie starred Frank Grillo in the villainous role of Crossbones, alongside the likes of Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, and Scarlett Johansson.

While looking back at the movie, it seems like the perfect ensemble of cast. But Frank Grillo wasn’t supposed to appear in the film. Sharing an inside detail about the actor’s casting in the movie, Joe Russo recently shared a tweet disclosing how an accidental email helped Grillo find his way to the MCU.

Chris Evans is one of the few people credited for uplifting the Marvel Cinematic Universe. From playing the Human Torch in the Fantastic Four duology to adorning the shield of Captain America, playing a superhero comes almost naturally to him. Despite the fame and fanbase he invited to the franchise, his inevitable parting in Avengers: Endgame was heartbreaking, to say the least.

Since then, the possibility of him returning has been a heavily discussed topic. While many wish to see him return as Captain America, there is an entire roster of heroes and perhaps even villains that would best suit him.
Suggested“Something I really hate for him to know”: Not Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan Begrudgingly Credited One Avengers Star to His MCU Success
Out of these, the Russo Brothers themselves have stated their wish to see the actor as Wolverine.

The third installment of the Sands: International Film Festival of St Andrews has set its slate, and that will include director Steven Soderbergh engaging in a conversation with directors Anthony and Joe Russo. I will moderate that discussion, which will touch on the preposterously unlikely way that Soderbergh discovered and godfathered the career of the duo that directed Hollywood’s all-time highest grossing film, Avengers: Endgame. The festival runs next month from April 19-21.
Soderbergh’s own career took off with sex, lies, and videotape, the film that just celebrated 35 years since the filmmaker turned Sundance into a lucrative independent film hatchery. It went on to win the Palme d’Or at the 1989 Cannes Film Festival, followed by Soderbergh’s first Academy Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay. He has gone on to direct films as diverse as Traffic, for which he received the 2000 Academy Award for Directing—the...

It doesn't mean anything to say a movie is "perfect" in any objective sense. Unless Rotten Tomatoes says it does, of course.
The website that Martin Scorsese considers "hostile to filmmakers" and which would have you believe that Rick Alverson's excellent "The Comedy" is a complete dud, is to many people the be-all and end-all of movie analysis. The site occupies such a vaunted position within film discourse that it has an inordinate sway over our own viewing habits. We've all been scrolling through some streaming service only to skip over a film because of a low Rt score that is, for some reason, baked right into the interface. Likewise, if Rotten Tomatoes says a movie is "Fresh" then people are going to pay attention.
Look, it doesn't matter that last year a Rotten Tomatoes hacking scandal emerged, or that movie studios and streamers rely far too much on...

Dan Harmon has established a pretty neat little entertainment empire, creating the beloved cult hit "Community" before co-creating "Rick and Morty" and overseeing Apple TV+'s "Strange Planet" and Fox's "Krapopolis." But it's been a rocky road to success for Harmon, who was previously kicked off his own show before being rehired, and in 2018 had to publicly apologize for his prior mistreatment of "Community" writer Megan Ganz — and those are just a couple of examples of the man's controversies. Despite these debacles, however, Harmon has been an entertainment mainstay for well over a decade at this point, and during that time he's not only managed to create several of his own successful shows, but he's also apparently been fairly influential in perhaps the biggest Hollywood success story of the modern era: the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Credit: Marvel Studios/Disney Chris Evans has appeared in 11 films within the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Steve Rogers and his superhero alter ego, Captain America. And, out of all those films, he’s chosen one clear favorite: On several occasions, he’s named Captain America: The Winter Soldier as the one he likes best. And one of the primary reasons he cites for that is the directing team of the Russo Brothers — Anthony and Joe Russo — who made their MCU debut with that film. Evans spoke about why he loved working with the Russos on Winter Soldier and the three other MCU movies they directed. Josh Brolin was the main center of attraction in Avengers: Endgame as the big bad guy that the entire Avengers team must defeat in order to restore humanity. The film ended up becoming a phenomenal box office success, culminating eleven years of Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Josh Brolin as Thanos / Marvel Studios
It was clear from the beginning that Brolin’s character would become an important figure in the superhero saga, and so his appearance in the two-part final movies was a long time coming for the fans.
Director Joe Russo Briefly Played Thanos In Avengers: Endgame
A fun fact about Josh Brolin’s Thanos was shared by Karen Gillan during her appearance at Comic Con Paris. The actress who played Nebula said that director Joe Russo would stand in place of the villain to help shoot her scenes when Brolin was not around (via ComicBook):

Joe Russo gained enough cache with "Avengers: Infinity War" and "Avengers: Endgame" that he's been able to pump out generic streaming action flicks unimpeded ever since. Not to be needlessly negative, but I've seen "The Gray Man" and I don't remember a single thing that happened in "The Gray Man." Russo has also penned two "Extraction" movies, which shot to the top of Netflix's most-watched charts but similarly felt as if they came and went without making all that much of an impression. All of which isn't too egregious, but Joe is also ready to welcome an AI-driven garbage future in which our films are produced entirely by machines.
In other words, I'm far from the biggest Joe Russo fan. But that doesn't mean I can't give the man his due when it comes to his Marvel work. Alongside his brother, Anthony, Joe is responsible for some of the...

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is a lot of things, but gory is not one of them. Despite being an incredible tale of zealous and righteous superheroes saving the day from some or the other deadly enemy, the franchise has largely managed to remain far from what most would associate as ‘gory’ and ‘ghastly’.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe
While there have been movies and series with extreme and incessant violence, these have largely remained confined to the general display of gruesomeness. Even Avengers: Endgame, which featured one of the biggest showdowns in the entire MCU, remained largely gruesome-less. However, all this would have changed had one scene too dark for the family-friendly MCU had made it to the movie.

2019’s Avengers: Endgame has left a deep impression on the fans for several reasons, and the major ones were Natasha Romanoff and Tony Stark’s deaths. It was an emotional affair for the fans as an era ended. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is the great franchise experiment of modern times. It is an expanding universe telling different stories in a large movie continuity, converging in crossover events like the comic books that inspire them, with dozens of characters across dozens of movies.
Before the MCU became the creatively bankrupt and commercially unviable husk it is today, it dominated the pop culture conversation. Today, it is easy to forget that a decade ago it was unthinkable for a movie about a talking raccoon and a giant tree to be a huge commercial hit, but somehow we got a whole trilogy starring them.
That success climaxed in "Avengers: Infinity War," an unprecedented cinematic crossover that brought dozens of heroes together in a single movie, and then (briefly) killed half of them. Though these deaths were meant to be arbitrary, a throw of the cosmic dice, there was a bit of...

Francis Ford Coppola's 1982 musical "One from the Heart" opens with the rattle of a roulette pill over a black screen. The shouts and dings and hopes and hopes and lamentations of the casino are nowhere to be heard. It's just that damn ball clattering across that spinning wheel, daring bettors to pick a number and a color. When the rotation slows and the pill finds its slot, the red-light logo of Zoetrope Studios cuts through the dark of the theater.
