Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you have not watched “Timing Is Everything,” the March 15 finale of “How I Met Your Father.”
The finale of “How I Met Your Father” didn’t reveal who the father is — but it did give fans a cameo from the original show they’ve been waiting for. During the Season 1 finale, Sophie (Hilary Duff) and Jesse (Chris Lowell) finally get together, in a relationship so brief that, by the end of the episode, they’re already done.
After Jesse tells Sophie that he ended things with Meredith (Leighton Meester), the pair spend the night together and he mutters “I love you” in his sleep. When she playfully brings it up ahead of her gallery debut, he explains that it’s not a big deal because he turned down going on tour with Meredith for her — something that is a bit scary for her. After she expresses that,...

Hey, "Blue Bloods" fans. Unfortunately, it's one of those times again where we have to inform you that your favorite show is about to take a small hiatus. However, this one won't last for too long, especially since we're close to the end of season 9. So, here's the deal. We have been informed that the next, new episode 20 will not be airing next Friday night, April 19,2019. No, no, no. Instead, CBS has scheduled it to air on Friday night, April 26, 2019 in its same 9pm central standard time slot. So, be sure to mark that very important date down on your TV show calendars. We don't have an exact reason for why they're doing this. We just know that they are. We're guessing it probably has something to do with scheduling. CBS probably wants the season finale to land on a certain night in May 2019. So, they're skipping a week to make sure that happens.

NBC's remake of the UK police drama, Prime Suspect, was one of the most anticipated new series of the new fall season. Unfortunately, it hasn't lived up to expectations. It'll surely be cancelled and now, it's just a question of when. Has NBC even tried to save it?
Prime Suspect revolves around tough-as-nails Detective Jane Timoney (Maria Bello) as she works in the male-dominated homicide department of the NYPD. The show also stars Aidan Quinn, Brian O'Byrne, Tim Griffin, Kirk Acevedo, Joe Nieves, Damon Gupton, and Peter Gerety.
The series debuted on September 22nd to a 1.8 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 6.05 million total viewers. Most new series at least get solid ratings for their debut but Prime Suspect was a disappointment right out of the gate and was in a distant third place in its timeslot. NBC's "Prime Suspect" has added a new face to its cast, one who knows his way around crime shows.
Kenny Johnson ("The Shield," "Saving Grace") has been cast in the new series, but not as a cop: He'll play Detective Jane Timoney's (Maria Bello) boyfriend, according to The Hollywood Reporter. He replaces British actor Toby Stephens, who played the part in the pilot.
Johnson is also set to continue his recurring part on "Sons of Anarchy" this season. "Soa" creator (and former "Shield" writer-producer) Kurt Sutter tweeted late Thursday that Johnson would appear in four more episodes as Kozik, a member of a different Sons of Anarchy chapter.
"Prime Suspect" also stars Aidan Quinn ("Unknown"), Kirk Acevedo ("Fringe"), Brian F. O'Byrne ("Mildred Pierce"), Joe Nieves ("How I Met Your Mother") and Peter Gerety ("Rubicon," "Brothers & Sisters"). It's scheduled to premiere Thursday, Sept. 22 on NBC.

The Fall TV Season presentations for all the new network shows take place this week with the first announced today. Here's a full breakdown of which concepts have made the final list over on NBC.
With Bob Greenblatt having replaced the outgoing Jeff Zucker, NBC is looking to turn around its dismal fortunes and has started by significantly cutting back on a bunch of shows which were simply not performing. This schedule takes some big risks with some new shows needing to perform if they're to survive, while two two-hour reality show blocks early in the week have certainly raised eyebrows.
There are twelve new shows in all, half of which are being held until mid-season. In the Fall, the biggest gamble is "Prime Suspect" - the U.S. remake of the iconic British police drama. With only the rarest of exceptions, American remakes of British shows have generally failed...

Here are clips from NBC's 2011-2012 drama lineup. The shows include Prime Suspect, The Playboy Club, Smash, Grimm, Awake, and The Firm. Earlier we shared the comedy clips and the schedule. I have been interested in The Playboy Club since when it was first announced. Smash looks pretty cool as well. Check out the clips below and share your thoughts!

It's that time again, and NBC has revealed it's 2011-2012 schedule. A couple of things have been kicked to the curb, and a host of new shows are coming to fill things in. I have a preview of the new fall shows, and the full schedule for you. There are a few surprises on the cut and not cut side of things, and the new shows have a bit of something for everyone. As usual, some of the ones that look the best to me are reserved for mid-season. And, NBC has apparently given up on Saturday altogether.
It's a whole lot of info, so let's just jump in.
NBC has introduced its 2011-12 primetime schedule, showcasing six new dramas and six new comedies from a roster of renowned hit-makers that includes Steven Spielberg, Lorne Michaels, Brian Grazer, Tom Werner, John Grisham and Peter Berg, among many others.

"Prime Suspect" started as a police procedural in the United Kingdom, airing at various times between 1991 and 2006 and starring the inimitable Helen Mirren. NBC is taking their swing at the crime drama in 2011 with Mario Bello as the tough-as-nails Detective Jane Timoney (Jane Tennison in the U.K. version).
The show has been redeveloped for American audiences by writer Alexandra Cunningham ("Desperate Housewives," "NYPD Blue") and director Peter Berg (NBC's "Friday Night Lights"). Bello's Timoney is a newly-transferred New York City homicide detective having to deal with being the new woman in a male-dominated department.
"Prime Suspect" also stars Aidan Quinn ("Unknown"), Brian O'Byrne ("Flash Forward"), Tim Griffin ("Star Trek"), Kirk Acevedo ("Fringe"), Joe Nieves ("How I Met Your Mother"), Damon Gupton ("The Last Airbender") and Peter Gerety ("Blue Bloods"). It will air Thursday nights at 10 p.m. Et/Pt, following NBC's Thursday comedy lineup.

Chicago – The slow trickle of news regarding NBC cancellations and renewals has finally burst the dam and we have the entire Fall schedule to present along with descriptions of the new programs and time/day changes for several of your favorites.
Chuck

NBC will aggressively try to right a ratings-challenged ship by programming 12 new programs over the year — 6 new dramas and 6 new comedies. Many of them won’t premiere until mid-season and “30 Rock” won’t return until then either, running uninteruppted from that point (not unlike “Parks and Recreation” did this year). In other major news, the final, 13-episode season of “Chuck” will air on Friday nights.
The returning shows for the network include “Parenthood,” “Harry’s Law,” “Chuck,” “Community,” “Parks and Recreation,” “The Office,” “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” “The Voice,” “The Sing-Off,” “The Celebrity Apprentice,” “The Biggest Loser,” “30 Rock,” and “Dateline NBC.”

The latest round of pilot casting includes a familiar face returning to CBS, Fox casting a lead in "I Hate My Teenage Daughter" and NBC adding three actors to its "Prime Suspect" pilot.
These updates come courtesy of Deadline Hollywood, which, we must admit, has pretty much been owning the casting news this pilot season. Here's the rundown:
- Former "Without a Trace" star Poppy Montgomery is returning to CBS in a drama pilot from one of that show's exec producers, Ed Redlich, and co-writer John Bellucci. She'll play an NYPD detective who's blessed/cursed with the ability to remember absolutely everything.
- Jaime Pressly will star opposite Katie Finneran in Fox's comedy "I Hate My Teenage Daughter." The "My Name Is Earl" Emmy winner will play a mom who fears she's raising a Mean Girl.
- "Prime Suspect" has added Kirk Acevedo ("Fringe"), Joe Nieves ("How I Met Your Mother...

Exclusive: Former My Name Is Earl co-star Jaime Pressly has been tapped as the lead opposite Katie Finneran in Fox's multicamera comedy pilot I Hate My Teenage Daughter. The project, from Warner Bros. TV and writers/executive producers Sherry Bilsing-Graham and Ellen Kreamer, centers on two women, Annie (Pressly) and Nikki (Finneran), who now have daughters just like the girls who picked on them in high school. Pressly, repped by CAA and Luber/Roklin, won an Emmy for her role as the ditsy Joy Turner on NBC's Earl. Kirk Acevedo (Oz), Tim Griffin (Fair Game) and Joe Nieves are set to co-star opposite Maria Bello in NBC's drama pilot Prime Suspect. The remake of the iconic British series centers on Jane Timoney (Bello), an iconoclastic female detective who has to make her bones in a tough New York precinct that is dominated by men. Acevedo, repped by Fortitude and Abrams,...
