4 hours ago | Popsugar.com | See recent Popsugar news »

Just a few short days after making a very rare, very adorable public appearance with his wife, Leighton Meester, Adam Brody is at it again in New York City. The actor was spotted looking good enough to eat on two separate outings on Tuesday, first leaving the Today show, then stopping by The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. The dad of daughter Arlo is busy making the TV rounds to promote his new movie, StartUp. Between his very Seth Cohen-esque smile and those sexy shades, we're almost as overheated as The O.C. »

Kevin Smith is having more fun than ever with “Yoga Hosers”

30 August 2016 9:03 AM, PDT | Hollywoodnews.com | See recent Hollywoodnews.com news »

I think it’s safe to say at this point that most people have a pretty firm opinion about the films of Kevin Smith, as well as the filmmaker himself. Personally, I think he’s a hoot and actually is one of my favorite artists out there. This week, Smith unleashes Yoga Hosers into the world after a debut earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival. As someone who enjoys his various podcasts, hearing the idea sort of birthed during one, much like with Tusk, had me eager to see it. Frankly, it doesn’t disappoint, though I freely admit this won’t be for everyone. It’s a strange beast, but kind of a perfect fit for Smith’s current interests at this point in his career. Again, the movie is, like the aforementioned Tusk, based off of a conversation Smith had with Scott Mosier on SModcast, one of his podcasts. »

Crackle’s ‘Startup’ Promises to Compete With Netflix, Hulu Originals

24 August 2016 6:36 AM, PDT | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

Crackle is spicing up its lineup with a new player, “Startup.” The series, starring Adam Brody, Edi Gathegi, Martin Freeman, and Otmara Marrero, follows a group of unlikely allies in the quest to launch a bitcoin-like venture. But how will this newcomer do against heavyweights like Hulu and Netflix originals?

“I think there’s room in the market for a lot of players. There’s no one silver bullet solution, but as people start to create their own new bundle of streaming services, there is room for high quality content that is free,” said Eric Berger, exec VP of digital for Sony.

The Emmy nomination Crackle received (for Jerry Seinfeld’s “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee”) served as a stamp of approval for the content they’re producing. Berger added that “it’s a great feeling to be supported in that way by your peers.”

The show takes place in Miami — not your usual location for startups »

Forget Ryan Atwood and his casual man choker; Cohen was your imaginary husband, and there was nothing you or anyone could do about it. Why?
