Doesn't/Didn't Deserve to Be On Television Because it's Ridiculously Stupid & Bad

by SpaceOctopus | created - 19 Jun 2013 | updated - 13 Jul 2016 | Public

I probably hate you if you like these, since you are the reason they keep airing terrible television shows like these, and why really GOOD shows rarely get past 1-3 seasons if they're lucky. You are the reason why television is becoming more and more awful every day and why I have to constantly find shows that were made before the 2000's if I want to have a better chance of finding anything worth my time. :(

Stars: Khloé Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Kris Jenner

Votes: 31,470

This list is in no particular order, but if it was, this would be #1. This is every single thing wrong with people today and why I refuse to watch television on cable or anywhere else where I might accidentally be subjected to this drivel. I sincerely wish these people would all die in a fire.

2. Dexter (2006–2013)

Stars: Michael C. Hall, Jennifer Carpenter, David Zayas, James Remar

Another show that would be good if HBO had made it, but it didn't. Instead, Showtime made it and it sucks really bad. I can't stand the fact that most people I know actually like this pile of crap. The writing is atrocious, most of the acting is bad (although it could be the writer's faults), even the story is ridiculously stupid and bland, especially since Showtime does this to everything they make. The only exception Showtime ever had was Penn & Teller;Bullsh*t (because they pretty much did everything themselves and didn't let Showtime screw it up). I don't want to hear about how much you like Weeds either. It's just another great example of a good idea ruined by Showtime. Showtime is like the cheap knock off of HBO, made in some other country for a small fraction of the price, and passing itself off to all the idiots as the real thing. Most people just aren't intelligent enough to recognize it. It's quite sad. Don't get me wrong though, I love the star actor of Dexter, he was amazingly awesome in Six Feet Under, but he's just completely wrong for this part. It doesn't work.

It seriously irks me that this show has had as many seasons as it does, while I can think of at least 20 amazing shows that never made it past 2 or 3, even though they had more substance in one little scene than Dexter has the entire show. What's even more upsetting is the shear amount of people I know who oh-so-love it & think it's sooooo cool. All I have to say about that is, it's unfortunate you're suckers.

You are the reason why TV rarely has substance anymore. It's just all about shiny, "cool", glamorous, plastic garbage with really stupid lines masquerading as "badass" when they're just a bunch of posers. Look at Deadwood, and you'll see a badass show that is so cool, and it's because they weren't trying so ultra-hard to be cool, and it wasn't their goal. They just wanted to make a good show & they succeeded very well at it.

I'm not even going to start explaining how bad this is.... All I'm going to say is that if you like this, SHAME ON YOU. You are what's wrong with television.

Take it from someone who has seen every episode, this show is garbage. It's a soap opera wrapped in an enigma of puke. Every bad kind of writing is in it & every song is a horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE cover/rip-off of a good or decent song, so bad it makes you want to pee in the singers eyes. This show gets more ridiculously over-the-top stupid dramatic every season, I'm surprised anyone is still even alive. The end of every season results in some hardcore, traumatizing & horrible event that nobody would survive emotionally & just continue working after. Seriously, one would be enough for 99% of people to be completely destroyed as people & unable to work anymore, but a damn shooting, a plane crash, a ridiculous storm that kills people complete with an overturned bus & explosion, a bomb in a body cavity, a drowning and on and on and on.

I seriously regret the day I started watching this, because unfortunately as stupid as it is & how much I hate it, it's one of those things I need to see through to the end, and it seems like this is never going to have one. Why the hell is it still airing? WHY?! Are they trying to torture me? Just end it already! Put it out of our misery!

Stars: Greg Kinnear, John Ortiz, Miranda Otto, Necar Zadegan

Votes: 3,358

Why would you take something that was already perfect & ruin it like this? The original, Australian "Rake" is one of the best shows ever, and it's good because of the actor & the writing. Two things this show doesn't have. It's just plain garbage. Way to go, America, we've succeeded in destroying another wonderful & already watchable thing because we were too talent-less to come up with something original ourselves. The original is in English, and there's no reason you shouldn't be able to watch it unless you're lazy...

I liked this when I was 13. Then I grew up.... Peter is frankly one of the most annoying characters ever & this show is just lame. I do like American Dad, but unfortunately some of the Family Guy ickiness is starting to bleed into it a bit & infect the show. However, it's still pretty funny.
