As if you didn't already think Reese Witherspoon, Oprah Winfrey and Mindy Kaling were ethereal beings, they had to go ahead and straight up stun in Time.
Along with their A Wrinkle in Time co-star Storm Reid, the trio graced the cover of the magazine's latest issue in what are destined to become iconic photos. All four were photographed wearing black shirts and pink lipstick, their hair slicked back as they stared thoughtfully into the beyond.
The film's director, Ava DuVernay, was all about it, tweeting, "I can't even... It's just too beautiful."
The stars chimed in as well. Witherspoon wrote, "Thank you @Time for this...

As one of the most anticipated movies of 2017, everyone has been buzzing about Star Wars: The Last Jedi, including the fashion industry. Not only did the stars include winks to the film (from little details, like Daisy Ridley’s star brooches at the film’s London photocall, to cosmically huge nods) in their red carpet style, but tons of designers were inspired by the film to recreate special capsule collections dedicated to a galaxy far, far away. In a new interview following the news that the Comedy Central mock-game show would be ending after 600 episodes, the show's host opened up about the amicable behind-the-scenes process that preceded the decision to bring everything to a close.
"Oh, I’m fine. I know it sounds strange, but it wasn’t like the cold axe of the network dropped down and shattered our world," the 45-year-old comedian told Variety. "This is something we’ve been discussing with Comedy Central for a bit and have been trying to figure out how we fit in with everything because so much has changed, particularly in the last year, at Viacom and Comedy Central. But the late-night landscape has changed even since we started and I think we got to a point where we felt like you know, maybe now’s not a bad time to go out on a high note...

When J.J. Abrams delivered Star Wars: The Force Awakens last year, he essentially brought life back to one of Hollywood's most beloved series. The movie was a critical smash, and would go on to become the all-time champion at the domestic box office. While some have chastised the film for relying too heavily on the legacy of the original trilogy, few can argue that the The Force Awakens didn't bring Star Wars back in a major way, and was a genuine crowd-pleaser for both longtime fans and newcomers to that galaxy far, far away.
The next film in the franchise, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, may actually eclipse The Force Awakens because of a few key factors. Today, we'll explore why Rogue One is so huge, and why its performance is one that we'll have to pay close attention to.

Alright guys and ghouls, strap yourselves in. I’m gauging expectations here, so if we`re to bump occular uglies, I need you to understand that I’m not going to spend the night and there will be no cuddling after. Fantasia 2015 is in town and I’m buried, face deep. Late with reviews, late with screenings, early with heart palpitations. Let’s get right to it shall we?
Now, I don’t know what the topic de rigueur has been at your last family get together. Frankly, I don’t want to know. The creepy thing is that I’m pretty sure it involved 1) discussion regarding a recent mortgage refinancing that go-getter Frank was lucky to get, 2) that new health insurance product snagged by Bubbie, 3) teenage pregnancies perhaps? or even 4) That strange smell coming from neighbor George.
One thing’s for certain though,...

Godzilla
Directed by: Gareth Edwards
Cast: Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Bryan Cranston, Ken Watanabe, Sally Hawkins, David Strathairn
Running Time: 2 hrs 2 mins
Rating: PG-13
Due Out: September 16, 2014
Own “Godzilla” on Blu-ray 3D Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack, 2-Disc DVD Special Edition, and Digital HD on 9/16
Plot: Monsters invade the world. Humans try to save the day, but they may need the help of a giant lizard named Godzilla.
Who’S It For? Those who like a slow build up, big screen excitement, and can overlook some ordinary humans since there is an extraordinary reptile.
Movie:
Godzilla reminds us that we like to be teased. That is something most blockbusters have forgotten. I’m not saying one is always better than the other, but there is something pretty spectacular about sitting through Godzilla and wondering, worrying, and hoping that we’ll finally get the Godzilla action we paid for.

The Big G returns in Godzilla.
Godzilla, the Big G himself, returns to stomp on big cities and kick the ass of any other super-sized baddies that may be hanging around in the 2014 science fiction action thriller Godzilla.
In this latest film featuring the overgrown, nuclear halitosis-challenged lizard, Godzilla (who’s been doing what he does since his 1954 self-titled Japanese debut) rises from the depths to do battle with a pair of malevolent creatures that, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance, threaten the planet’s very existence. The larger-than-life battle takes him to the U.S. mainland this time around, specifically San Francisco.

For nearly fifty years Star Trek fans around the globe have been entertained and inspired by a vision of the future full of sights and sounds to astound the mind. From Vulcans to Klingons, Tribbles to Ferengi, the starship Enterprise to station Deep Space Nine and beyond, the universe begun by Gene Roddenberry and continued by a host of producers and writers continues to thrive well into the 21st century.
Star Trek has enthralled its legions of fans with some of the most intriguing and thought provoking stories of the past five decades. Unfortunately, during its lifetime, it has not always been able to go back and further explore some of the best stories of the bunch.
For every appearance of the Borg over the years (and there have certainly been quite a few, thank you Voyager) fans have been left to wonder “Whatever happened to…?” or...

Lovebox festival just got a whole lot more provocative...
Us hip hop queen Lil Kim has joined the line-up for the East London music event.
In the first of her announced UK festival appearances in 2013, the 'Jump Off' rapper will play the Sunday night of Lovebox.
On the same bill as Lil Kim is one of the female rap stars for whom she paved the way, Azealia Banks. It will be the first time she has played a show in London since 2001, on her Notorious K.I.M world tour.
Of course, you may not recognise Lil Kim from the days when she had her big break during the '90s. To get up to speed, join us on a surgical journey as we turn back the hands of time on a voyage across Lil Kim's ever-changing face...

The Vancouver International Film Festival is my baby. In its 29th year, this is the event I look forward to every year. The lists I've kept through the year come out and I eagerly look through the list of titles in search of those little gems and every year Viff responds with a huge assortment of titles. This year's festival is no different.
Some of the titles we're most eagerly anticipating include Tsumetai Nettaigyo’s Cold Fish (trailer), Gareth Edwards’ Monsters (trailer, review), Jo Sung-Hee’s apocalyptic road movie End of Animal, Carl Bessai’s Repeaters (trailer) and Xavier Dolan's Heartbeats (trailer, review).
There's loads more so be sure to check the titles (so far) after the break. Many more to be announced in the coming days.

Rachel Weisz in The Whistleblower The Toronto International Film Festival has added even more films to their line-up today as the complete line-up was announced, which ended up causing the festival's server to crash, but I was lucky enough to get in and get out before missing out on the information.
First off, the festival's Mavericks line-up is quite interesting, which includes a series of guest presentations and this year will see Edward Norton interview Bruce Springsteen, NBA All-Star and native Canadian Steve Nash will present his hour-long film Into the Wind, Apichatpong Weerasethakul will talk with the audience as his Cannes Palm d'Or-winning film Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall his Past Lives was just added to the Masters programme, Ken Loach and Paul Laverty will be interviewed by Michael Moore on politics and cinema and Philip Seymour Hoffman will have his own panel. Also on hand will be Bill Gates,...

The organizers at the Toronto International Film Festival have put together one hell of an impressive line-up that has grown significantly since my first list announcing the Galas and Special Presentations, a pair of lists that have also grown since then.
The lists have grown to include Massy Tadjedin's Last Night starring Keira Knightley, Sam Worthington, Eva Mendes and Guillaume Canet, which will serve as the closing night film.
It's also grown to include Danny Boyle's 127 Hours starring James Franco. Boyle recently spoke about the film at Movie Con and told the audience there it may be a challenge to watch saying, "It's a lovely way of doing a new kind of filmmaking, really. We want it to be a challenge to you [the audience] to see if you can sit and watch it."

Toronto -- Canadian distributor Entertainment One (E1) has acquired the local rights to Sturla Gunnarson's "Force of Nature: The David Suzuki Movie" from the National Film Board of Canada and E1's production arm.
The documentary about the iconic Canadian biologist and broadcaster David Suzuki is set to bow at the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival ahead of platform theatrical release starting Oct. 1.
The biopic features Suzuki recalling his early internment along with his family in a Second World War Canadian internment camp, and growing up in rural Ontario before becoming a broadcaster with the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. in 1970 and eventually an environmental activist.
Suzuki in 1979 began hosting the CBC nature series "The Nature of Things," which still runs on the CBC and airs in 50 markets worldwide.

The Toronto Int Film Festival have added tons of Canadian content sprawling across several sections and this year's Midnight Madness opener will be a rowdy one in Michael Dowse's Fubar II. Among the notable world premieres we have Jonathan Sobol's A Beginners Guide to Endings grabing a Gala screening and in the Special Presentations we'll have a green carpet premiere for Sturla Gunnarsson's Force of Nature: The David Suzuki Movie - she follows the 75 year-old environmentalist during his time outs, and Jacob Tierney will make it a back to back years of preeming at Tiff, after The Trotsky he'll show off Good Neighbours which stars Scott Speedman, Emily Hampshire and Jay Baruchel. Other world preems come from Carl Bessai, Bruce McDonald, Robin Aubert, Ingrid Veninger and Terry Miles, while French Canada is well-repped by the likes of films that have been presented elsewhere: Denis Villeneuve's...

On Tuesday (June 15), the most definitive set of hits from now-defunct English stadium-fillers Oasis hits stores. The two-disc Time Flies ... 1994-2009 brings together 27 tracks, all of which could theoretically be referred to as "hits." If there's anything that this particular compilation drives home, it's that Oasis were one of the most bipolar acts in recent rock history. They seemed to either be creating era-defining epics or sub-filler terribleness, with scarcely a point in between. Truly in the world of Oasis, not all hits are created equal.
That's why we've taken those 27 tracks, ranked them and broken them up into tiers, so when you pick up your copy of Time Flies, you know exactly which songs to keep and which songs to trash.
Tier One
"Supersonic"
"Wonderwall"
"Some Might Say"
"Live Forever"
"Don't Look Back in Anger"

Marcel Vigneron, known as the bouffant-haired molecular gastronomist on Bravo's "Top Chef," is staying with the NBC Universal family.
The chef is developing a reality series, "Marcel's Quantum Kitchen," for Syfy, it was announced at the network upfront Tuesday (March 16).
The docu-series by executive producers Kevin Dill and Mechelle Collins will center on Vigneron's new catering and event company that will combine imagination and culinary arts to create avant-garde delights for picky clients. Some of the inspiring events include a Goth-rock fashion show, a fairytale graduation party and the ribbon-cutting for a subway line.
How many foods can you turn into foam? We'll find out.
Besides the kooky cooking series, Syfy is also heating up a few more reality dishes:
"Force of Nature" - Following Feng Shui master Ariel Towne apply the mysterious discipline to various clients, situations or spaces. "The Latimer Project" - Jason Latimer, a three-time World Champion of Magic,...

The latest ventures of our much beloved but always bemoaned The SyFy Channel is a slate of "docu-soaps, competition/elimination, and investigative reality series." Already airing several reality shows each week (Destination Truth, Ghost Hunters), SyFy is developing these new unscripted shows to flesh out its schedule and to "...push the envelope of speculative, alternative worlds and lifestyles."
Cutting to the chase, this means the channel is developing what amounts to a cooking show, a home decorating show and a travel show. Seriously. To elaborate, the cooking show is called "Marcell's Quantum Kitchen" and it's about a "molecular gastronomist" who caters goth parties. Seriously. Another on the development slate is "Force of Nature," about a Feng Shui home director. You know, the guys who hang crystals over toilets to positively channel the flow. Seriously. And that travel show? It's currently untitled, but it'll follow a couple of guys who scour...

What if the popular time travelers of cinema and television history existed on the same timeline? David McCandless created this crazy visualization as part of his upcoming book The Visual Miscellaneum ($18 preorder on Amazon). The chart tracks all the action between 800 Ad and 4000 Ad, and the tracking is color-coded by method of time travel: Alien Technology, Force of Nature, Time Machine, Deep Freeze, or Unknown. McCandless also imagines what possible paradoxes might occur when multiple time travelers converge on the same date. Check out the full chart after the jump.
