There were so many stars in attendance at Thom Browne‘s event held during New York Fashion Week!

Cole told Vogue at the event, “I still can’t wrap my head around why people want me to wear their clothes. It means a lot that this is coming from my play; I wrote this play and this character that is very much my voice and that other artists whose work I admire are responding to it and wanting to include me in their world, it’s everything.”

At the 2024 Republican National Convention, the cover band Sixwire set up shop covering rock classics, like Steely Dan’s “Reelin’ in the Years.” Now, Steely Dan themselves have responded to the performance, suggesting the band play Donald Fagen’s anti-Trump song, “Tin Foil Hat,” instead.
The response came in the form of a Comic Sans text image posted on Facebook, almost like the Steely Dan equivalent of a shitpost. It reads, “Hey! Sixwire: If you want to play our music, how about playing The Man in the Tin Foil Hat?”
The song in reference is actually not a Steely Dan song, but a Todd Rundgren song featuring Fagen, released on Rundgren’s 2017 album White Knight. With mentions of “coming down the escalator,” draining the swamp, alternative facts, tiny hands, and more, the lyrics are a circa-2017 condemnation of Trump, describing his taking office as feeling “like a coup d’état.

If you thought season one of Hulu’s limited series Nine Perfect Strangers gave a new definition of locked up, there’s going to be plenty of cabin fever come season 2.
We caught up with the series star and EP Nicole Kidman last night on the red carpet for her AFI Life Achievement Award to ask how the next season is coming along.
“Swiss Alps And Crazy! Hold on tight!” exclaimed Kidman. She was talking about the series’ setting which switches up from the Tranquillum House retreat in the fictional town of Cabrillo, CA to the Swiss Alps. Kidman plays the wellness resort’s founder Masha Dmitrichenko who has it out for her guests by dispensing to them a psychoactive drug, namely Psilocybin. Masha is arrested, cradling her hallucinated late daughter in her arms. However, she appears to have beaten the rap as the Tranquillum House guests covered for her illegal actions during police interviews.

Robert Douglas Spedden’s grave is located in his family plot, usually surrounded by freshly cut grass. The headstone is incredibly small and stub-like, so no matter how many times you’ve been to Brooklyn’s Green-Wood Cemetery, you’ve probably never noticed it before. You were maybe there to visit Leonard Bernstein, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Samuel Morse, or any of the other 600,000 graves.
Spedden was a child who survived the sinking of the Titanic, famously depicted in Francis Browne’s photograph, where he’s standing on the ship’s deck playing with a spinning top.

King Princess is not impressed by wealthy people who take big risks. The singer (real name Mikaela Straus) is the great-great-granddaughter of Idisor and Ida Straus, who died when the Titanic sank in April 1912, and she has offered up an opinion about the Titan submersible, which killed five people when it imploded.
“I think there is a cycle of bajonga-jillionaires wanting to explore shit and then dying,” King Princess said on TikTok in a video that has since been taken down (via Entertainment Weekly). “Like, look at my fucking family,...

Musical tag-teaming doesn’t have results much more fruitful than what came about when the showrunners of “A Small Light” picked Ariel Marx to compose the score for the limited series and Este Haim to serve as executive music producer. Neither Haim nor Marx was in a position to take anything about the job lightly, given that the eight-episode series for National Geographic and Disney+ tells the story of a Dutch woman, Miep Gies, who helped hide Anne Frank and her family from the Nazis. Yet, in their very separate roles, both found ways to bring musical light or even levity into a drama that inevitably skews toward tension.
Este Haim took on the Emp job for the first time with “A Small Light” after previously scoring or co-composing “Maid” and “Cha Cha Smooth” — on top of her day job as one-third of the rocking sister trio Haim. For “A Small Light,...

When it comes to group fitness, few studios have nailed the vibe quite like SoulCycle. Founded in 2006, the company has expanded its presence from a small space in Manhattan to almost 100 studios around the world. When the pandemic hit in 2020, SoulCycle quickly pivoted to outdoor classes, taking over patios, parking lots and even malls to keep the rides going strong. And for riders who were — and still are — hesitant to go back into a group setting right now, SoulCycle launched its own at-home spin bike in partnership with Equinox last...

Being a leader for a young and likeminded audience is something that King Princess takes very seriously, but there's no underestimating the mainstream appeal the enigmatic pop star...

Just in case you need a pick-me-up during the week before the election, Tenacious D has you covered with a positively delightful cover of “The Time Warp” from “The Rocky Horror Picture Show.” Just in time for Halloween! Watch it above.
Of course, those of you reading this know what we’re talking about — it’s the fourth song in the cult classic movie musical, and the one sung by Riff Raff, Magenta and Columbia just as Brad and Janet have entered Dr. Frank-n-Furter’s creepy castle. The song is a glam rock tribute to the many rock and roll songs about dance crazes and mainly just describes a dance called The Time Warp with very, very easy to follow instructions: Jump to the left, step to the right, put your hands on your hips, bend your knees in time, then pelvic thrust a whole bunch of times.

The famous red lips haven’t turned blue in the newly adapted “Rocky Horror Picture Show” imagery because they’ve spent too much time on the slab. The color scheme is emblematic of Tenacious D’s goal in doing an all-star remake of “The Time Warp” that has a “Rock-y the Vote” message — specifically, to vote blue or, as the revised lyrics have it, make “a jump to the left and not a step to the right.”
Beyond incorporating clips from the original 1975 movie musical, Jack Black and Kyle Gass enlisted a couple of key Democratic politicos for the new music video — former presidential candidates Elizabeth Warren and Pete Buttigieg — as well as a range of celebrities including George Takei, Phoebe Bridgers, Jamie Lee Curtis and King Princess.

On the new song that was produced by King Princess and Mike Malchicoff with additional production by Mark Ronson, the singer reflects on a heartbreak that she can’t quite shake. “And it sucks that I think about her/’Cause thinking ’bout her leaves me lonely,” she sings above an icy Eighties synth track. “And it’s not that I wanna suffer/But thinking of her keeps me going.
