Although I don't like the idea of someone having some kind of a psychic power that allows him to go back in time(It's totally unrealistic, isn't it?), I liked the thrilling story. The hair-raising suspense this one provided is just Wow! - December,2017

[Note: This show dragged me into anime series. When I watched Pokemon and other animes back in my childhood, I didn't know they were actually 'Anime']

Okay, here's the update for season 2. It's about a game that is Gun Gale online and we see the characters in the Alfheim online once again at the later part. The series started of interestingly and turned out to be thrilling and had a lot of hearts even though there was fan-services and lot of other silly stuffs. Very interesting from the beginning and enjoyable too. Already finished 12 episodes... But then I asked myself, where is this going? So I did some study on this anime... It seems like that there is still no explanation about how elder tale and real world is connected! even after season 2!! No explanation on how real world and game world switched places... Is it magic or what?!? Sorry, I'm okay with SAO and nerve-gear. - March,2018

Stars: Mamoru Miyano, Asami Imai, Kana Hanazawa, Ashly Burch

Votes: 73,404

Learnt a lot of things watching this one... I also studied some topics like time-paradox, time-relativity, John Titor 'The Time-Traveler' and so on later on... This anime connected all facts related with time-traveling of present time and headed it toward a fiction. Mad scientist Rintaro Okabe is an amazing character... Afterall, it felt like the execution of the concepts in the later part of the series could have been better. Then again, this is one of the best execution of 'Time-Travel' in fiction. 7/10 - April,2018

Stars: Satoshi Hino, Chris Guerrero, Yumi Hara, Masayuki Katô

Votes: 13,682

Another series related to DMMORPG. watched 5 episodes and continuing... Characters are lovely. Update: Not continuing anymore! Looks like our main guy is stuck in the game forever and he will continue to live in that mystery driven world! (2022) Another Update: Picked it up again and done with season 1. For me the peak was until episode 9. After that, our MC's plan on spreading his name in this new world through helping others for a chance on contacting any other 'Real Player' who might have also got trapped like him in the last day took a huge hit. And as it seems, he drops his morality a lil bit for the sake of survival as he starts overlooking atrocities committed by some of his NPC guardians. (March, 2024)

Stars: Jessie James Grelle, Bryce Papenbrook, Trina Nishimura, Yûki Kaji

Votes: 510,814

To be honest, I'm not okay with the alternative timeline setting where Giant Humanoid Monsters known as Titans roamed the earth a long long time ago.

But the emotions are solid in this series. No arguing that! I'm already in love with one of the main characters... Mikasa! - 03 may, 2018

After watching season 1, all I can say is... this series is good on its own way. I was very much amused from episode 21 to 25. That action-packed heart-breaking sequences were awesome! Before that, I was mainly passing time. Not a masterpiece, but very much enjoyable show.

Though the violence, blood and gore gives the show a mature appeal, some silly things give a feeling that this is more geared toward teenagers. Watching season 2 now... - 20 may, 2018

Done watching season 2. This show is steam hot! and it's getting better. Again, it has its flaws. What makes it come over it is its strong plot and emotion. I don't want to give away any spoilers... but I can give you this... Steam is hotter than water but its origin is also water! Waiting for season 3 to come... - 29 may, 2018

My comment on season 3 is here. Well, it's a mixed feeling for me about this season. Part 1 was really good with a political plot. Not to mention the actions are always topnotch. Part 2 started with a blast! All the fightings and strategies were amazing with awesome animation. Then, there is this BIG 'Plot Revelation' which brought me down to ask, Since when 'The Devil' is our friend?!!!!!!!! And also a 'Jewish Propaganda'? Like, Seriously??!! At a time like this when they are the Oppressors in Palestine!!!!!!! C'mon man, There is no way one can support and justify the acts of Hitler against them. At the same time, their atrocities against Palestine cannot be supported either! Their sympathy gain from me is 0 and I'm not sorry. - 31 July, 2019

Alright, It's January 2024 and the Long season 4 has come to an end with the English dub release. What I can say is that it was a mixed feel season as well as an ending for me. While the plot answered a lot of unanswered questions, the CGI animation was very off-putting at places. Specially in the earlier episodes. And when the animation improved in the final chapter, it ended with some loopholes.

28. Monster (2004–2005)

TV-14 | 24 min | Animation, Crime, Drama

Tenma, a brilliant neurosurgeon with a promising future, risks his career to save the life of a critically wounded young boy. The boy, now a charismatic young man, reappears 9 years later in the midst of a string of unusual serial murders.

Stars: Hidenobu Kiuchi, Liam O'Brien, Mamiko Noto, Karen Strassman

Votes: 44,583

It's 17th may,2018. I've started to watch this interesting series and already completed 2 episodes. To be honest, this is the most realistic animation I'm experiencing... I mean the art-style(plot is also believable). It's all happening in a real world, no fantasy. Anyway, I'll update this review after completing all 74 episodes.

Update: It's December 20th, 2023 and I've finally finished this Masterpiece of work by Naoki Urasawa which is ''Monster''. At the time of writing this, I've seen & rated more than 4000 entries on IMDb. With that being said, I've to say that this show is the best work of fiction that I've seen not only in Animation but also across any form of live action media. An Absolute 10/10!

PS: To any of my kind reader who might be wondering what took me so long finishing the series, Let's say that I have my own approach in watching things. Specially for 'slow buildup' shows like this, I also like to take it slow. As there's only a handful of episodes with cliffhangers, it was easy for me to take breaks after arcs. I would watch something else in the meantime until I decide to come back and watch a few more episodes. This way, I made the experience last longer. I actually never wanted the show to end. But that had to happen at some point and standing at that point now, all I can say is that I'll probably rewatch it while preparing for my BCS exam. Such a great show!

Director: Tetsurô Araki | Stars: Yûki Kaji, Yui Ishikawa, Marina Inoue, Kishô Taniyama

It's mainly the story of episode 1-13 from the main series season 1. If you don't have time for the series then go for it. It'll save you two-third of your time.

After watching the series, I found this one very very well made connecting a lot of things from the series. It's time to get buzzzzzy with steins;gate and load some Deja vu! I'm keeping my review short. So... El sai congroo... dismiss. 8/10

Recap of season 1 by the characters sharing experiences inside the game with others in real life while teaching Sugoha how to swim(and there goes fan-service). In the mean time Kazuto meets with someone investigating the incidents happened inside the game and we get to know the guy inside the government who told him about Asuna's whereabout at the first place. A little adventure inside ALO in the end for Yui for which Sugoha was learning to swim. Not bad. But, I would really like to know what happened with Racoon and Sugoha?

Best production in history of anime! What an animation! Beware, This isn't your typical cute anime. Neither the animation nor the plot... medieval theme, kingdoms fighting each other, mercenaries, demons, sword fighting, politics, espionage, gore and dark sides of humanity... everything is out there! Man the music also suits its purpose! I couldn't watch the original 1997 series because of the old animation... Thanks to this one that I've experienced the golden age arc. I personally think, this is better than Game of Thrones. Highly recommended for mature audience. - August, 2018

Excellent movie! The animation is top notch. The perfect depiction of a part of Japanese history, the Meiji era. This is how Rurouni Kenshin should have been. But the series is kinda silly in some points. I dropped the series after 4 episodes. Anyway, this movie is basically the before story of Kenshin, the protagonist of the series. It's a must watch for both anime and samurai fans.

My Goodness!! I don't think I have to say more! Even James Cameron praised it stating it's a landmark in animation. The backdrop is, it's short. There are more to be told. At which spot, the blood+ series comes in. Let me explain the low IMDB rating. This is an uderrated movie which is avoided by most of the sensible viewers, the community who could have praised the true work of art. In the other hand, silly and cute anime lovers get by it browsing for silly animes and they are like, "is it even an anime? So ugly... Yuck!" And they throw a bad rating at it without even watching!! Just watch this one, you'll thank me later.

Votes: 8,983

Normally I found the movies of different series better but here's an exception! Surely the animation is upgraded but it can't be everything, right? Plot also matters... So the story starts off well... There's nostalgia and introduction to new system Augma. An AR(Augmented Reality) device. The concept and execution is pretty cool even though the device design seemed goofy. But hey, it's sci-fi! So it doesn't have to be 100% accurate. There's tension between relations due to some fishy things going on in the AR game platform. The problem is the revealing of everything at the end, there are things that doesn't make sense or might seem impossible. All in all, a good ending to the series if not the best. Bye bye Kiridude! Bye Asuna & Sugoha! Bye everyone! - January,2019.

I must say this anime has a very edgy art-style! Which is good by the way because it gets your attention right from the word 'Go'. The voice acting didn't sound too cringe considering this is an 80's anime. Some techniques used in switching frames were unique! The real problem for me was the plot!!

You see, Amano-Jyaku is a character from Japanese mythology who can be summarized as 'Devlish'. If we try to look back in history, there is a sudden change of phase occurring from the last century. Which is to bring infamous negative characters from fiction and sometimes real life, to a more positive light! 'Dracula' is a very good example. And now we're living in a time where the Anti-Heroes are the Heroes! Say 'Deadpool' for an example. So, this Amanu-Jyaku guy is no different here! I've already seen two work of fiction including this[First one is Gakkô no kaidan (2000)] where he is presented positively. This is bad and concerning. This new trend is an indication that we're indeed, in The End Times. -April,2020.
