Content Warning was released on April 1, 2024, as part of Landfall’s tradition of releasing a game on April Fool’s Day. The game managed to attract the attention of a large fan base by climbing to the top of the Steam charts. The studio did not have great expectations that this survival horror game would become a big trend, but its rapid success made it one of the most successful indie games of this year.
Content Warning received its first major update a while back, bringing a ton of features and fixes, which has further increased fan satisfaction with it. Moreover, there will be some potential collaborations on the studio’s calendar, which may be something that will make the title even more popular than it is now.

When Content Warning was released on April Fool’s Day (as part of its studio’s yearly tradition), its reception was crazy. Sure, the game was released for free for the first 24 hours, but think about the free games, which are still free and aren’t talked about at the same magnitude. This was different.
We were lucky to get an interview with a team member of Landfall Games, and they gave us great insight into some of the game’s aspects. One of the highlights is their answer regarding the future of the game, showing us Landfall isn’t here to waste players’ time and milk them for profit.

A month ago, as the world was preparing to prank one another, Content Warning made its entrance into 2024’s gaming scene as the perfect April Fools’ joke. Landfall has a tradition of dropping its games on April 1, but this time, the drop turned out to be a hit on Steam, continuing the trend of gamers getting blessed with amazing indie titles this year.
What started off as a little bit of humor turned into something bigger as the game was launched for free, attracting many players towards it, and it became more successful than anyone could’ve imagined.
Despite Being Free on Day 1, Content Warning Is Performing Beyond Expectations
Not only was Content Warning a great April Fools’ joke, but it put a fresh spin on the survival-horror genre.

Green Day songs are some of the most essential classic rock tunes of the 1990s and 2000s. However, the band drew significant influence from The Who, one of the most iconic bands of the 1960s and 1970s. Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong revealed The Who’s “Pinball Wizard” was the inspiration for one of Green Day’s singles. He feels he made some major missteps on that song’s parent album.
How The Who’s ‘Pinball Wizard’ inspired Green Day’s ‘Minority’
During a 2020 interview with Rolling Stone, Armstrong revealed the origin of Green Day’s “Minority.” After ‘Time of Your Life,’ I started getting into playing more acoustic guitar, and I really wanted to have more for [the album] Warning,” he said. “And there was also a lot of kind of bad pop-punk that was starting to happen, and I wanted to go against that genre.

“Home Improvement” actor Zachery Ty Bryan has pleaded guilty to felony assault but has cut a deal to avoid jail time.
“He believes this is the manner he could best resolve this to avoid further trauma to his family,” the actor’s attorney John Kolego told TheWrap on Wednesday.
Bryan, who played the eldest son in the Tim Allen sitcom “Home Improvement,” was arrested in July in Eugene, Oregon. He was charged with felony assault in violation of the Abuse Prevention Act because the victim had already filed a restraining order against him for a previous incident of domestic violence.
Instead of spending 19 to 20 months in Oregon Department of Corrections, Bryan will given 36 months of supervised probation. He must also serve seven days in jail.

Zachery Ty Bryan appeared in an Oregon court Wednesday afternoon to face charges stemming from a July arrest, which marked the latest in a string of legal issues for the troubled former child star best known for Home Improvement.
During today’s proceedings, Bryan, 42, pled guilty to felony assault in the fourth degree constituting domestic violence. As part of a negotiated resolution, a second count was dismissed and, rather than spend 19 to 20 months in Oregon Department of Corrections, Bryan will receive a “downward dispositional departure” to 36 months of supervised probation, seven days in jail and he must abide by a set of conditions typical of domestic violence cases.
Those conditions call for no contact with the victim without the probation officer’s approval, alcohol and substance abuse treatment, and no alcohol and drug use moving forward. Should he violate any of the above conditions, Bryan would be subject to serving...

Duff McKagan has announced his third solo album, Lighthouse, due October 20th. In advance of its release, the Guns N’ Roses bassist has unveiled the title track.
The 11-song effort ends with three tracks boasting notable guest musicians: “Hope,” featuring McKagan’s Gn’R bandmate Slash; “I Just Don’t Know,” featuring Alice in Chains’ Jerry Cantrell; and “Lighthouse (Reprise)” featuring punk godfather Iggy Pop.
On the title track, McKagan sounds like a punk-rock Bob Dylan as he sings the initial verses over an acoustic guitar line for the first minute or so of the tune. From there, the song kicks in with multi-track vocals and pounding drums for the soaring chorus.
McKagan says of the new album and its theme, “The crashing…. the cresting waves, the falling through of all that surrounds you. Life sometimes tosses us around, and we feel the want of comfort and the pull of home.

Guns N’ Roses have been gradually rolling out re-tooled versions of previously unreleased songs, and another new (old) song might be making its way into the band’s setlist in the near future.
Ahead of Guns N’ Roses’ show Monday night (June 5th) in Tel Aviv, Israel, the band soundchecked what appears to be the shelved Chinese Democracy-era song “Perhaps.” Astute fans who stood outside the venue during soundcheck were quick to bust out their phones and record the rehearsal — with Setlist.fm even noting that the band performed the song during the soundcheck.
Like Gn’R’s 2021 single “Hard Skool,” the song hails from the infamously lengthy writing/recording process for Chinese Democracy. And like many of those tunes, a rough demo version has been leaked and uploaded to YouTube (triggering debate between fans about whether Robin Finck or Queen’s Brian May played guitar on that particular recording...

The Warning have released a new stand-alone single called “More,” which veers a bit away from the band’s hard rock sound with more of an alt-rock vibe.
The trio of sisters from Mexico acknowledged the sonic shift in a statement, explaining, “We feel ‘More’ is a natural transition to our musical evolution where we get to express our taste in music in a fresher cooler sound maintaining The Warning’s core rock sound. ‘More’ is a song about relationships push and pulls and wanting ‘More’ out of life.”
The band co-wrote “More” with Anton Delost, who also produced the song, and Niko Rubio. An accompanying music video was directed by Ivan Chavez.
The Warning are currently in the midst of a headlining US tour in support of their 2022 album, Error. Tickets to the remaining dates are available here.

By April 1956, Elvis Presley was one of the most popular singers in rock and roll music. Just two short years earlier, he began his career in the music industry. He left behind a working-class lifestyle and quickly became a national sensation due to his music and on-stage performances. Therefore, when he entered Nashville’s RCA Studios to finish some new tracks in the spring of that year, Presley was looking to piggyback on his runaway success. That day, Presley was pleasantly surprised with a gold record for his January 1956 release, “Heartbreak Hotel.”

By 1956, Elvis Presley had morphed from a struggling rock and roll musician to a bonafide superstar. He first laid down the tracks that would propel him to superstardom at Memphis’ Sun Studios in 1954.

Last night, Angelenos enjoying Bob’s Burgers on Fxx saw an unusual bit of animation, even for those accustomed to the unexpected antics of the Belcher family. A chyron appeared across the bottom of the TV screen that read “Blizzard Warning.” It continued with a message that even longtime L.A. residents have never seen before: “The National Weather Service has issued a Blizzard Warning for the following California Counties: Ventura, Los Angeles. Effective until February 22, 3:56 Am Pst.”
According to the National Weather Service, it’s one of the only Blizzard Warnings ever issued for the area, and the first in more than three decades. The alert presaged a dusting of snow in the Antelope Valley and Acton reported at about 10:40 p.m. by NBC4 meteorologist Melissa Magee. Other programming was interrupted by the warning as well, including the L.A. Kings-Minnesota Wild game on Bally Sports West.

Warning: this Happy Valley review contains spoilers.
Well, this is embarrassing. Every acting award for this year has already been engraved with the name Sarah Lancashire, but now someone’s going to have to take a sharp screwdriver to a couple and scratch ‘James Norton’ over the top. He deserves one for his guileless delivery of the line “I’ve never been abroad,” and at least one for that episode-ending voice chat.
That was some scene – ultra-tense and skilfully done. We hung on every word, pained by each step Ryan seemed to take closer to the lion’s mouth. Listen carefully though, and it was far from a straightforward exchange. They both sidestepped the other’s questions, changing the subject and withholding their locations. Dodge and feint, dodge and feint.
They played it with real skill, but it was Norton who shone, taking Tommy Lee Royce from smug euphoria...

Green Day unleashed a heavy helping of rarities — including some songs the band hasn’t played in over 20 years — during their semi-surprise, Lollapalooza aftershow gig Friday at Chicago’s Metro.
Free from the shackles of their just-ended leg of their Hella Mega Tour — where Green Day performed largely the same concert nearly 30 times — Billie Joe Armstrong and company dug deep into their catalog for Friday’s show, unearthing songs like Warning’s “Church on Sunday” and that album’s title track for the first time since 2001.

Warning: this Inside No. 9 review contains spoilers.
Without question, that episode featured the worst dialogue, the most clichéd plot threads, and the most thinly drawn, hackneyed characters Inside No. 9 has ever produced. Which, of course, was entirely the point. This was metadrama: four characters in search of a rubbish author.
Unlike with most of Inside No. 9’s surprises, who bets the show’s creators were hoping the penny would drop sooner rather than later with this one? If regular viewers didn’t smell a rat when they heard Sophie Okonedo’s flawed-detective-with-inner-demons gutsily snarl, “I know how to dig my heels in, and let me tell you, size eight stilettos dig in deep,” Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith should worry. The stink was quite deliberate.
There was more where that came from, ‘Kat’ spoke only in affected barbs and emphatic monologues about not having a cock...

Exclusive: Patrick Schwarzenegger (The Staircase), Sean Patrick Thomas (The Tragedy of Macbeth) and Marco Pigossi (Invisible City) have been tapped for high-profile recurring roles in Prime Video’s college-set spinoff of The Boys. Character details are being kept under wraps. but I hear that Schwarzenegger will play Golden Boy, Thomas will portray Polarity and Pigossi will play Dr. Cardosa.
From showrunners Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters, the as-yet untitled spinoff, which is now in production, is set at America’s only college exclusively for young-adult superheroes (run by Vought International). The spinoff is described as an irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities. It’s part college show, part Hunger Games— with all the heart, satire, and raunch of The Boys.

Alice Eve is set to headline the “Early Edition” reboot pilot at CBS, Variety has confirmed.
In the rebooted version, ambitious but uncompromising journalist Beth (Eve) starts receiving tomorrow’s newspaper today. She then finds herself in the complicated business of changing the news instead of reporting it.
Beth is further described as the executive producer of Ksea, a local Seattle TV news station. A journalist/investigative reporter since she was a kid, Beth is very focused on getting the story no matter what, which sometimes puts her at odds with her beloved mentor, Tommy, who believes that the most important thing about a story is the people and its human toll.
Eve most recently appeared in the Epix series “Belgravia” and the feature “Warning.” Next up, she will be seen in the films “The Infernal Machine,” “Freelancers,” “The Queen Mary,” and the series “The Power” for Amazon. Her past...

Logging into Shudder can be taken nonchalantly just like any other streaming site, but there’s something extra to the movies that it features, as well as the shows, that sets it apart from so many others. Movies such as Warning: Do Not Play are the types that might bore those that don’t see the point of them or terrify others that see past the thin to skin-deep veneer that’s there to give the feature its appeal. This movie in particular is one of those that needs to be watched in its entirety and also needs to be given the type

Living in the Czech Republic, the Holocaust and its aftermath feels far more present than it ever did while I was growing up in the east of England. There, many people still indulge themselves in a weird nostalgia for the half-imagined World War II of Vera Lynn crooning about bluebirds over the white cliffs of Dover; dashing fighter pilots in blazers scrambling to their Spitfires to thwart the Luftwaffe; and bravely battling insurmountable odds until the Americans decided to show up.

Offering a different kind of near-future dystopia, “Warning” lets the clock run out on humanity’s stint in the background, while in the foreground we examine ways technology might usurp our lives in the guise of “improving” them. This first feature for music video director Agata Alexander, credited as “a film by” producer Cybill Lui Eppich, is a refreshingly offbeat series of faintly interlocking stories that hang together better than most omnibus-type constructs.
This is sci-fi cinema of a relatively subtle, intriguing stripe, without the usual emphasis on fantastical or action imagery. Still, it’s slickly engaging enough to please more open-minded genre fans, and brainy enough to attract those who want something other than another laser shoot ’em up. Lionsgate is releasing the Poland-shot, English-language production to limited U.S. theaters as well as digital and VOD formats on Oct. 22.

Warning: the Handmaid’s tale season 4 episode synopses below contain plot spoilers
The Handmaid’s Tale isn’t the kind of TV show that suits a binge-watch. Its heart-heavy dystopian story about a brutal theocracy that enslaves and rapes fertile women benefits from a little fresh air between episodes. On-screen torture and suffering are best delivered in small doses.
It’s good news then, that after its first three episodes are released on Hulu in one batch on Wednesday April 28th, the remaining seven episodes of season four will be released weekly each Wednesday until June 16th, giving US viewers all time to digest.
For UK viewers, season four is confirmed to be airing on Channel 4 as usual, but the broadcaster has yet to confirm a start date. As soon as one is announced, we’ll pass it on. The imported show traditionally airs weekly on the terrestrial channel. Seasons...

Exclusive: Magic Mike and I Am Number Four star Alex Pettyfer is attached to star in The Chelsea Cowboy, based on the colorful life of Brit actor, tough guy and lothario, John Bindon.
The project will chart the rise and fall of underworld hard-man turned actor Bindon, who despite a successful acting career and passionate romantic liaisons with various socialites, was unable to leave his criminal past behind.
Ben Cookson (Waiting For Anya) is directing. World sales are being handled by Moviehouse Entertainment which is introducing the title to buyers at this week’s virtual European Film Market.
Bindon was frequently in trouble as a youth for getting into fights and spent time in borstal. He was spotted in a London pub by Ken Loach who asked him to star in his film Poor Cow in 1967 and went on to play a violent mobster alongside Mick Jagger in Performance (1970) and...

A rare demo recording of Black Sabbath’s “Heaven and Hell,” the first song the band wrote after Ronnie James Dio replaced Ozzy Osbourne in 1979, has surfaced online.

Photo: ‘Vita & Virginia’/Thunderbird Releasing Warning: this article contains spoilers for ‘Vita & Virginia’. The real-life relationship between writers Virginia Woolf and Vita Sackville-West is rendered a love letter to love in ‘Vita & Virginia’, which vividly presents how love ensnares us, enriches us, and devastates us. An arthouse biopic directed and co-written by Chanya Button, the film depicts only a sliver of both of these women’s lives in the 1920s—yet it’s an important one. Set in the intellectual and creative world of London’s bohemian art scene, Button’s film spans a condensed version of the period in which Sackville-West and Woolf met, became involved, and ended their affair. Morgan Wallen took retail giant Walmart to task after copies of his upcoming opus Dangerous: The Double Album appeared on shelves at a small number of stores around the country this weekend. A spokesperson for Walmart says the album was prematurely displayed and sold ahead of its official January 8th release date at “less than 10” of Walmart’s 4,000-plus locations nationwide. Nonetheless, Wallen considered the early stocking mistake a “leak.”
In a trolling Instagram post — location-tagged “Target” — he pledged his chain-store allegiance to a Walmart competitor and suggested his fans buy Dangerous there.

When Zakk Wylde came up with the idea for Zakk Sabbath — the Ozzy Osbourne guitarist and Black Label Society frontman’s all–Black Sabbath tribute group — he had a master plan.
“If any of the guys in Black Sabbath get a gambling problem and go broke, then this band could actually give them more gambling money,” he says. “When Black Sabbath went out on ‘The End’ tour, they signed contracts with promoters that they’ll never tour again, so we devised Zakk Sabbath so we could eventually do, ‘Zakk Sabbath,...
