Heading into Monday’s two-hour episode of “Hell’s Kitchen” Season 20, only the Top 5 black jacket-wearers remained on the show: Brynn Gibson, Steve Glenn, Trenton Garvey, Megan Gill and Kiya Willhelm. This week the players had to impress Gordon Ramsay‘s Instagram followers by creating visually appetizing plates. Later, they struggled to prove their worth during a dinner service full of sabotage. A lot is at stake this year for the ultimate “HK20” winner, as they’ll claim a head chef position at Chef Ramsay’s steakhouse at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas.

A sizzling neo-noir that should have boosted Dennis Hopper into feature bankability goes a tad slack — my guess is that Hopper’s fine directing instincts got blurred in the editing process. Don Johnson, Virginia Madsen, Jennifer Connelly and others are well cast in Charles Williams’ hardboiled sex ‘n’ crime yarn, and the temperature indeed rises when Johnson gets near his co-stars. The narrative momentum breaks down somewhat, yet the great-looking show remains a favorite, atmospheric and oversexed.

Gary Dauberman will direct the adaptation of Stephen King’s “Salem’s Lot” at New Line, an individual with knowledge of the deal told TheWrap.
James Wan, Roy Lee and Mark Wolper are producing. Dauberman, who is already attached as the screenwriter of the project, will also executive produce.
King wrote the novel in 1975, only his second to be published at the time. It follows a writer who returns to the town of Jerusalem’s Lot, where he lived as a young boy, only to discover everyone he used to know is now a vampire. It was also King’s first book to top the New York Times Bestseller list. In 1979, Tobe Hooper directed a “Salem’s Lot” TV movie, while a miniseries was released in 2004.

“What the f*ck?” she laughed. “Oh, my gosh. I mean, listen, that story goes way further than that. The whole Jax-Faith-Brittany saga is intense,” Schroeder teased.

Taylor Swift doesn’t give a damn about her bad reputation. Or does she?
On her sixth studio album, Reputation, the Grammy winner, 27, plays with perception. Since rising to fame in 2006, Swift’s knack for super-personal storytelling has been a blessing and a curse. She’s one of the best-selling female artists of all-time. But she’s also fallen prey to the pitfalls of fame and, in recent years, has become as well-known for the headlines she makes as the music she releases.
And it’s her experience with fame — and how it’s influenced her reputation — that fuels her latest LP.

Amazon has now given audiences their first glimpse of their upcoming TV adaptation, and it looks as unsettling as some of the best “Lore” episodes can get. (We put one about a possible demonic possession at a French abbey on our Best Podcast Episodes of 2017 So Far list.) The CW on Friday released a teaser trailer — plus new photos! — from the upcoming third season of the aforementioned musical comedy, which picks up shortly after Rebecca was left at the altar by Josh, following his decision to commit his life to the priesthood. (Yeah, if you missed the last few episodes, you missed a lot.)
No words are spoken in the teaser — which finds Rebecca skulking towards a grocery store, still rocking her bridal bathrobe — but that semi-maniacal laugh should be enough to scare the bejesus (or even just the Jesus) out of Josh.

Warning: You are not prepared for what this movie delivers. I watched The Villainess about a week after I saw Atomic Blonde — which was also part of Fantasia 2017 — and the two have a lot of similarities. On the surface level alone, they’re both about awesome, extremely dangerous women who are working for a shadowy organization, and both movies contain lengthy, seemingly one-take action sequences which are the highlight of the film. In fact, The Villainess has three of those action sequences. But the similarities pretty much end there as Atomic Blonde’s Cold War espionage is more akin to Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, whereas The Villainess shares a lot of DNA (including one identical scene) with La Femme Nikita. So while Luc Besson was off making a bloated, sci-fi epic, Byung-gil Jung (Confession of Murder) was reworking the flick that put him on the map in the first place.

Tagline: “Hell Hath No Fury Like a Demon Scorned.” Monarch Home Entertainment will release Steve Shimek's Nocturne next week. The film will be available on DVD. In the film, several friends gather for a night of fun. A ritual changes the tone, once a demonic spirit appears. Now, characters struggle to just survive. Nocturne stars: Clare Niederpruem (The Maze), Darien Willardson (Storm Rider) Melanie Stone, Colton Tran and Jake Stormoen. The film's official DVD artwork is here, along with the official release trailer. The artwork shows more of the film's supernatural element. A cross holds back the demon, which looks made of flame. The tagline: "hell hath no fury like a demon scorned" hints at the conflict, within the film. And, one character looks beleaguered as night closes in. Sofia Coppola’s The Beguiled resembles a decadent pie stuffed with poison apples. Fluffy mounds of cream and a golden, crispity crust – Coppola’s atmospheric outer layer – entice hungry audiences on sight alone. Southern comfort reminds of firefly fields and womanly sophistication in the most innocent ways. Aromatic warmth wofts under noses, but each bite – the scenes that Coppola structures – brings upon the most delicious darkness. Notes of sweetness (a child’s newfound friendship) and spice (the fatal attraction that brews) intoxicate with pleasurable trappings. Coppola’s savory four-star treat is an achievement in both tone and repercussion, and apologies for the metaphor, but all its best scenes play out during mealtime – my madness is with good reason, rest assured.
Ms. Coppola’s 2017 “thrill-ish-er” is both a remake of Don Siegel’s 1971 caper and an adaptation of Thomas Cullinan’s novel, with Colin Farrell stepping in as wounded Union soldier John McBurney.

There’s less than a month to go now until the release of Wonder Woman, but Warner Bros. has already revealed soundtrack details for the highly anticipated movie. As if so often the case, there are some possible spoilers sprinkled throughout here, but for the most part, the listing offers just a vague outline of how things will play out.
As expected, the action will quickly move from Themyscira to the battlefields of World War I and the mention of Ares around the halfway mark of the soundtrack points to him showing up sooner than the final act. Beyond that, these titles don’t make it too easy to figure out what’s to come, but it’s hard not to wonder if “Trafalgar Celebration” is an indication that Wonder Woman will be getting a happy ending rather than just having the hero go into hiding once the war ends.

Colby Cutler (Brendan Gleeson), a glorious slop of a man who wears his black tracksuit like a business uniform, holds court in the squalid trailer park where he lords over his homegrown brood of hick criminals. He’s telling a story to his young grandson, trying to indoctrinate a new generation of Cutlers into the lifestyle that has come to define the family name. It’s hard to make sense of what he’s saying (American ears will probably only be able to pick up every third word), but the punchline comes through loud and clear: “Hell hath no fury like an angry super-goat.”
You’ll laugh, even if you don’t have the foggiest idea what he’s going on about. It’s par for the course in a movie where much of the dialogue becomes meaningless mulch beneath the thick brogues of the film’s feral British characters.

When Big Brother 18 began, for whatever reason, Tiffany became a huge topic of discussion. Even though Tiffany is not the only sibling of a former Big Brother player, she became an object of a lot of suspicion and a lot of intrigue. People in the Big Brother 18 house wanted to work with Tiffany because of her sister, and people want to get rid of her because of her sister. Neither option made a terrible amount of sense, but it led to Tiffany being one of the most talked-about houseguests.
It also put a lot of pressure on Tiffany, pressure that she hasn't been able to handle, since she has cried almost as much as her sister did in an entire summer in just one month. All that pressure reaches a boiling point in this episode of Big Brother 18 as Tiffany finally starts to be active with her craziness. Hell hath no fury...

As a survivor of Septic Man‘s sewer-sludge yuckiness, I saw Bite‘s disgusting reputation not as a warning, but as an invitation. What’s a little gross-out body horror capable of, really? Sure, Fantasia Festival attendees reported that Chad Archibald’s metamorphosis tale caused viewers to “faint, puke, and need medical attention,” but after watching it myself, I question the constitution of said fainters. Maybe it’s just because I’ve witnessed the worst of the worse (an occupational hazard), or because I’ve been blessed with my father’s iron gullet, but Bite never sent me reaching for a barf bag. While this might disappoint true masochists, Bite doesn’t need perverse gimmicks to win over horror fans – there’s a story worth watching all in itself, even if it won’t make you vomit.

Hell hath no fury like two brothers with abandonment issues. Tonight’s episode was helmed by the amazing (and adorable, especially when he cries) Paul Wesley, so without further ado, let’s watch him cry a bit more. Underwater As Damon raced from person to person trying to fix his mistake (giving Matt blood first — good call, because Elena would hate him if he let Matty Blue Blue die), all I could think about were the 9,879,475,769 other times Damon has gotten himself into this situation. “I saw this coming,” he says, chained up for the umpteenth time. If he lives like this for the next 60 years until Elena is free, he is not going to be the man she left behind.
