Marvel’s Fantastic Four has lived through several iterations. In 1994, the first ambitious Fantastic Four life-action was made starring Alex Hyde-White, Rebecca Staab, and Jay Underwood, with Joseph Culp playing Doctor Doom. However, the movie was never released. While the Chris Evans-starrer Fantastic Four movie series was popular among fans, there was an attempt from Fox to reboot the franchise in 2015 with a roster of a talented cast.

Looking back at the McU's long history, 10 particular scenes made fans furious when they left the theater.
Particularly after the end of Marvel Studios' Infinity Saga, the Multiverse Saga leaves much to be desired for some viewers. Many believe the MCU hasn't achieved the same kind of success.
But while the Multiverse Saga has had its low points (which Marvel is already looking to correct), Marvel Studios' entire run has been far from perfect, with a few scenes that still rub fans the wrong way.

The upcoming ‘Fantastic Four’ reboot stirred quite the drama in the community last week when it was revealed that MCU’s version of Silver Surfer will be played by Julia Garner who will be portraying Shalla-Bal, Norrin’s notable love interest in the comics.
Following that new cast announcement, Marvel also made 5 ‘Fantastic Four’ comic issues free for all fans, all of them pointing in the direction of the movie being set in an alternate universe.
There are also rumors that Galactus, Franklin Richards & Valeria Richards will be appearing in the movie, with Sue Storm reportedly being pregnant with Richards and him at some point in the movie being born in space. MCU’s ‘Echo’ was a significant show for many reasons. First, it was the first TV-ma show released on the platform as a part of the MCU, it was also the first show to release under the ‘Marvel Spotlight’ banner, and the first to release on Hulu simultaneously. The show also changed the MCU timeline canonizing Netflix’s Defenders Saga.
While plenty of fans expected the show to fail since Echo is in large part, a lesser and not exactly popular character in the comics, it was a breath of fresh air. Fans were surprised both by the action and by Cox’s performance, and needles to say, we can expect to see more of Echo in the future, considering that the show, through the post-credits scene, directly led to the events of the upcoming ‘Daredevil: Born Again.’

Marvel Studios has several projects lined up for release in 2024. While live-action movies are limited, there’s a lot of animated content to anticipate. Among the first releases is ‘X-Men ’97,’ scheduled for March 20, 2024. This marks Marvel’s return to the X-Men franchise after regaining the rights from 20th Century Fox. The pressure is on due to the passionate fanbase. The decision to fast-track the revival is influenced by the original series’ success on Disney+ and the popularity of the art book ‘X-Men: The Art and Making of The Animated Series.’ Although not part of the MCU, ‘X-Men ’97’ continues the original series’ storylines, possibly shedding light on its connection to the MCU. Introduced as part of the ‘Marvel Animated Multiverse’ during San Diego Comic-Con 2022, the second season was already in the works by July 2022, reflecting the project’s high anticipation and dedication to fans.

In Sam Raimi's 2022 superhero film "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness," the titular wizard (Benedict Cumberbatch) was able to skip across multiple dimensions merrily, thanks to the portal-creating superpowers of one America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez). Halfway through the film, Doctor Strange finds himself in a distant dimension, standing in the courtroom of the Illuminati, a superhero team that a parallel version of himself once belonged to. The Illuminati explains to the good Doctor that his alternate self has gone mad and needs to be executed, something they find might be true of the O.G. Doctor Strange as well.
In an orgy of fan service, the Illuminati is made up of alternate Marvel characters culled from the history of Marvel media. Black Bolt (Anson Mount) is from the oft-forgotten TV series "Inhumans." There is an alternate Captain Marvel (Lashana Lynch) as she was seen in 2019's "Captain Marvel.

At the risk of being hyperbolic, 2023 has been a pretty terrible, horrible, no good, very bad year for Marvel Studios. The Marvel Cinematic Universe suffered its biggest box office flop ever with "The Marvels"; the "Secret Invasion" series was the worst-reviewed MCU entry ever and drew middling viewership; and audiences mostly shrugged off "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania," along with its attempts to tee up interest in the McU's Multiverse Saga. That's on top of all the bad buzz from reports about the House of Ideas' behind-the-scenes woes, the departure of longtime Marvel Studios executive Victoria Alonso, and the general opinion that Marvel Studios has released too much of questionable quality too quickly of late, even by its standards.
Naturally, however, all of this pales in importance compared to the Jonathan Majors situation. What was once set to be the "Lovecraft Country" and "Creed III" actor's big year came grinding...

Out of all upcoming MCU movies, ‘Deadpool 3’ generates the most hype out of all of them, and for a good reason. We’ve yet to see a Deadpool movie that disappointed the audience; the series so far has a perfect lead, perfect cast, and perfect balance of action and humor, and its take on Marvel’s most notable anti-hero is simply phenomenal.
In fact, according to some rumors, Marvel Studios is considering releasing only ‘Deadpool 3’ in 2024 since it puts a lot of hope in the movie’s potential to restore the hype and faith in the MCU. We’re bombarded with leaks and rumors regarding ‘Deadpool 3’ almost on a daily basis, which even prompted Ryan Reynolds to ask his fanbase to tone it down a little bit before he went on to create a series of his own “leaks.”

Before he made his Spider-Man trilogy and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but after he unsuccessfully tried to get the job directing a Batman or The Shadow movie, Sam Raimi made his debut in the superhero world with a character he created: Darkman. Raimi’s film Darkman was first released in 1990, and in recent years Scream Factory has brought that movie and its direct-to-video sequels Darkman II: The Return of Durant and Darkman III: Die Darkman Die to Blu-ray. Now the company has announced that they’ll be giving Darkman a 4K release on February 20th!
Scream Factory hasn’t announced what special features will be found on the 4K release, but they are accepting pre-orders for it. Before there was MCU, there was Fox’s X-Men Universe that brought to life some of our favorite mutants and their villains, and if there is one face forever associated with Professor X, it has to be Patrick Stewart.
Patrick Stewart played him in the majority of movies until the character was killed halfway through ‘Logan, and we all thought that was goodbye and that Stewart was ready to retire the character, but we also thought as much for Wolverine, who also met demise during that same movie.
In any case, Stewart returned in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ as Professor X once again, and a member of the Illuminati at that, and he was once again killed by Scarlet Witch as she telepathcally snapped his neck.
Now Professor X is canon to the MCU, at least to Earth-838, and since Multiverse is kind of a big deal in this phase,...

The first season of What If…? was released in 2021. It was the first animated TV series to be made by Marvel Studios. Now, two years after the release of the largely successful anthology series, the release of the second season has been announced. The premise of What If…? relies on the existence of the Multiverse, which was established in the MCU after Loki. The TV show was the MCU’s first major exploration of the Multiverse, as it offers stories from alternate timelines, all of which arose from past events in the MCU. The Watcher who is the lead in the show, watches...

Tom Hiddleston just finished up his second solo go-round in the MCU with the Disney+ finale of Loki Season 2. But where will he appear next? Here’s what could happen.
Loki has been on a long road to redemption across his Disney+ series, but after uncovering superpowers that allow him to essentially control time, he has just found himself a vital new role in the Multiverse.
After the Tva gang failed in their venture to repair the Temporal Loom, Loki found himself having to take the place of He Who Remains in holding the branches of time together and becoming the McU's "God of Stories."

By Marvel's own estimation, Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe was the largest yet. It incorporated seven feature films ("Black Widow" through "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever") and eight seasons of television ("WandaVision" through "She-Hulk: Attorney at Law"). All told, there were more screen hours in Phase 4 than in the previous three phases combined. As of this writing, two additional films have been released as part of Phase 5, the central villain from "Quantumania," is to be the franchise's new time-hopping multiverse antagonist.
In the new book "The Marvel Cinematic Universe An Official Timeline," authored by Anthony Breznican, Amy Ratcliffe, and Rebecca Theodore-Vachon, Marvel Studios head honcho Kevin Feige went on record with a tantalizing thought: some of the extant timelines may "crash" or "converge."

We can admit it now. The Marvels bombed.
Marvel has had some misfires before, but they usually happened only on the critical end. Audiences still rushed to see panned flicks like Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Thor: Love & Thunder. But with The Marvels, audiences and critics came together to express their dissatisfaction. No one thing explains the problems. Like its predecessor Captain Marvel, bad faith reviews flooded the internet with people mad about lady superheroes, but numerous, and legitimate, other culprits led to the downfall: from superhero fatigue to a nonsense story combined with obnoxious editing, to separation from the larger shared universe.
In short, The Marvels comes at a key point in the MCU experiment, one whose failures and successes illuminate the way forward for the company. But rest assured, there is a way forward, and we have a few of our own silly ideas about how to navigate that.

Phases 4 and 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have had some pretty intimidating villains thus far. From Gravik (Kingsley Ben-Adir) and his plans to take over the Earth for all Skrulls to Wenwu (Tony Leung) and his ancient rings of power to He Who Remains (Jonathan Majors) and the threat of his variants, the stakes of the Multiverse Saga have been just as formidable to overcome as Thanos and those who came before. But there’s one Loki villain who might just have them all beat – the sentient A.I. clock we all know as Miss Minutes (Tara Strong).
Now stay with me here. I’m not saying that Miss Minutes is necessarily the strongest or most powerful villain. What I’m saying is that she is by far the most ruthless, sadistic, and terrifying villain we’ve seen thus far in the Multiverse Saga,...

New concept art revealed deleted scenes from Spider-Man: No Way Home that were set to feature Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man universes.
The 2021 Tom Holland-led Spidey threequel was one of the first tastes MCU fans got of the Multiverse, setting loose not only villains from other realities but a pair of past wall-crawling heroes as well.
While both Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire's web-slinging heroes returned to the big screen in the Marvel Studios blockbuster, they only ended up appearing in Holland's super-powered world, with no glimpse into how their realities were doing.

Doctor Strange director Scott Derrickson was originally slated to helm the sequel as well, which was expected to have been the first horror movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, Scott Derrickson wound up stepping down from Doctor Strange 2 just months before production was to begin and was replaced by Sam Raimi.
While speaking on The Playlist’s The Discourse podcast, Scott Derrickson elaborated on his Doctor Strange 2 exit, which really was just due to creative differences and not any rumoured behind-the-scenes drama.
“All I can say is that what we said publicly is exactly the truth,” Derrickson said. “We had real creative differences. You know, the movie I wanted to make and how I wanted to make it was different than–it was just increasingly obvious that we were pulling against each other. Even though it’s been two years since the latest live-action ‘Spider-Man’ movie, 2023 is a really good year for web-slinger fans. Last June, we watched ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse,’ one of the most acclaimed movies of the year, which set up the stage for the finale of the ‘Spider-Verse’ trilogy in ‘Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse,’ for which we can’t wait to arrive. Also, owners of the PlayStation 5 console will finally play the anticipated ‘Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’ video game, which is set to arrive this October.
There have been countless video games based on Spider-Man on various platforms in history, but Insomniac Games’ ‘Spider-Man,’ which was released in 2018 exclusively on PlayStation 4, is the most successful game of that kind yet. The game was sold in over 20 million copies, making it the most successful PlayStation 4 exclusive game of all time.

John Krasinski's Fantastic Four suit for his Reed Richards almost looked completely different in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
There was a lot happening in Benedict Cumberbatch’s latest MCU adventure, but easily one of its biggest moments was the debut of Reed Richards.
The leader of the Fantastic Four, also known as Mr. Fantastic, was one of the key members of Earth-838’s Illuminati. Notably, this version of the hero is not the same who will eventually go on to lead the MCU’s version of the famous family.

"Loki" remains the best TV show in the Marvel Cinematic Universe — a show with a clear vision, great visuals that stood out from the formula of the franchise, and a fantastic and self-contained story that actually developed its main character and took him to new places, including a rare romance in the MCU. All of this while also expanding the overall Marvel universe by properly introducing the idea of the multiverse that has consumed Marvel the past few years, but doing more with the concept than even "Multiverse of Madness."
Indeed, in episode 5, Loki wakes up in the Void at the end of time, a place where those punished by the Tva are sent; a place where Loki meets several variants of himself. While the Void itself looks like your standard post-apocalyptic wasteland inspired by "Mad Max," this one stands out by being inspired in part by "Teletubbies." Yes, you read that right.

Like the Scarlet Witch in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Elizabeth Olsen wants to break free of the binds tying her to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She’s portrayed Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch) since 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, with little time to explore her career outside of tights, magic spells, and breaking the Sokovia Accords. Variety is the spice of life and, in some cases, what makes an actor’s journey varied and fulfilling. Speaking with The Times of London ahead of the SAG-AFTRA strike, Olsen expressed her MCU gratitude but said she’s hoping to expand her horizons beyond supervillains and thumbing through pages of the Darkhold.
“I’m trying to figure out… Because, specifically in the last four years, my output has been Marvel,” Olsen said. “I don’t want… it’s not that I don’t want to be associated as just this character.

From the birth of the Celestials to the cracking of the Multiverse, Marvel has released a historic trailer outlining the release of the first official MCU timeline.
For years fans of the franchise have only had two resources to go off of for telling where things took place in Marvel Studios' super-powered narrative tapestry, what actually took place in the movies/TV shows, and the ever-growing Disney+ timeline order list on the streaming service.
But these will only take audiences so far, only outlining the order of specific titles in the MCU, but not the actual sequence of events happening in the universe.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe started merely as an idea with so much potential, and following the release of several standalone movies, the first crossover event, ‘The Avengers,’ launched the franchise to the stars, where it remained to this day, even though some fans are arguing how the franchise doesn’t feel the same since the Infinity Saga concluded back in 2019.
The ongoing Multiverse Saga expanded the canon with a series of Disney+ shows that started with ‘WandaVision’ in early 2021, and since then, we have watched eight MCU shows on the streamer (seven live-action and one animated show). However, the problem these shows created for the collectors of physical media is that they were available only on Disney+, unlike movies that can be watched on Disney+ but are also still bought on physical media. Thankfully, Marvel has some good news for the collectors.

Australian supernatural horror film Talk to Me has been blocked from release in Kuwait, which is considered to be the region’s strictest market when it comes to censors. And while that might not cause much of a surprise, the reported reason could.
The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that the decision to ban Talk to Me, which has been both a critical and commercial hit internationally and became A24’s second biggest domestic opening after Hereditary with $10 million, has nothing to do with the contents of the film. Instead, it concerns the identity of its star Zoe Terakes, who identifies as nonbinary and trans masculine, and confirmed news of their gender confirming surgery in 2022. Last year it was also announced that Terakes would become the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s first transgender actor when they were cast in the the TV series Ironheart.

Hayley Atwell has been a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe for over a decade at this point, but he confessed that her Captain Carter cameo in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was frustrating.
Hayley Atwell played Captain Carter in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, an alternate universe incarnation of Peggy that was enhanced with the Super Soldier Serum instead of Steve Rogers. While it was great to finally see Captain Carter in live action, Atwell’s cameo was all too brief as she and the rest of the Illuminati were killed by Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen). “I’m like, ‘That wasn’t my choice!’” Atwell told Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused podcast. “When she was like, ‘I could do this all day’ and then followed by she’s immediately cut in half by a frisbee. And the audience being like, ‘She can’t do it all day.
